We are coming from the Northeast and the way the weather has been it's possible our flight may be delayed or even cancelled. In case of delay or cancellation who do I call to let Disney know that we would still be coming but may be delayed?

Looks like your question has been answered but just wanted to say I'm crossing my fingers that you make it out as planned! Best wishes and safe travels. I'm up in the Northeast too and watching the weather...

I am flying in a few days also, but fortunately not anywhere near the NE. I am hoping we don't get caught up in the domino effect a huge storm causes. Fingers crossed for you.

If you are using Magical Express and given them your flight information they may already know before you call.

Keep an eye on the websites for your airline and airport. If there’s a huge storm you WILL get caught up. We walked into SeaTac one gorgeous sunny day to find madness because of one day of weather on the east coast. Our trip was from Seattle to Anaheim straight down the coast and our flights were totally messed up. When the planes can’t get to x destination then y destination can easily have a problem.

Watch for their storm warnings and I’d they are allowing people to change their flights for free. Be packed and ready to go if suddenly you can leave earlier.

yes, DME would know but I am pretty sure that they won't relay that information tot he hotel.

It is in some way. When I do online checkin and am not using DME, I can choose the time I’m arriving. When I do DME, I cannot choose the arrival time, since Disney knows what time I’m slated to arrive.

you do need to call Disney and make arrangements once you know you will be missing your check-in date, don't count on the hotel to know what DME knows and make such arrangements on your behalf.

If that is the case they aren't using their systems correctly. There is no reason a flight delay wouldn't automatically cause an alert for the hotel, adjustment to arrival day ADRs, and so on. These are exactly the kind of things that should be automated in their systems.

maybe it should be. But this is the reality...do not count on your WDW hotel reservation to be automatically adjusted or held for you if DME registers a flight delay or cancellation for you. You need to call them and make your alternate arrangements.
