Who to book a car with? Any ideas? Good experiences. Bad ones!

We've booked everything except theme park tickets and the car now.
Almost booked with Floridacarhire.net, but the transaction crashed, after I'd given them my credit card number .
Turns out they are linked to Usrentacar, and I read a pretty terrible story on another thread about how they left a family high and dry, without a car. They even had to pay another company for a car. So have been put off them a bit, despite them being cheap!
Any ideas who to book a car with? Best quote so far (with the afore mentioned company) is £543 for 24 days, Budget minivan.
Any ideas?

We used a company called All States Car Hire in May and they were great - really reasonable prices.

Also, if you find a cheaper quote, email them and they will match it and then knock off another GBP5.00.

Just in the middle of buying our USF buy one year, get a second free, annual passes, using a bealls code (BEALLS06). Makes me feel as if we're almost there!!!

Thanks netty. Airline network, who we've booked with previously (and had no problems with at all) comes out best. £537, but for a day less than I'd been quoted previously by Floridacarhire.net.
Does anyone know if car rental places give an hours grace? If I book to return the car for 3pm, and dont get there till say 4pm, do they charge you extra on the day? Any experiences with that?

Wooo hoo!!! Booked with Airline Network.
Primarily because we know they're ok.
Cost £163/week for a minivan, 23 days=£537.
Probably the cheapest van we've had, due to the good exchange rate maybe?
Just Disney tickets and 8 nights at Disney left to book.

Not sure about the hour's grace to be honest - I always pick up / drop off so that I am within the times.

Us too Miffy. But we've never used Sanford before, and the flight times are earlier arriving and later leaving than ever before.
Arrives 13.30
Leaves for Uk. 18.30
So you can see my dilemma. Do I shell out for an extra day, by quoting a pickup time of say, 2.30pm, and a drop off of 4.00pm, or, do I say we'll pickup at 3pm and drop off at 3pm, thereby avoiding the extra, unneccesary day.
Opted for the latter choice. The sweet girl I just spoke to at Airline Network said that Dollar give you an hours grace, so am planning to drop it off at about 3.30pm (presuming all goes to plan)

You won't have any problems with Dollar if you are a little late Ian, when you drop the car off they just tend to check the mileage etc - I never have any problems with them.
You have made the right choice.

As Universal AP holders too, you have also done well getting your tickets, they really are superb value for money.

We are also going for 3 weeks in August.

The last time Universal did this deal (McDonalds last time) we managed to get three years of holidays out of them All for the price of a years preferred annual (approx $179 +tax now)
It's a great deal if you go the year after. Or even every year . Dws silly idea of France and camping will have to wait a few years now, shame!!!!!
