Wow. I have no idea whatsoever what's going on in this thread. Many of you seem to be very familiar with the OP :confused3 ...

....regardless of what's going on here, I have no doubt in my mind that somewhere there are women who will willingly volunteer themselves and their infant/toddler for a suicide mission. It sure would throw some people off...and it's incredibly sad.

Sorry if I missed something here :confused3 :)

Oh, so this response to my posts ARE extreme? I thought they were, too.

I don't see the word "extreme" in mickeymousemom's post:

However, what I do see in your post is an attempt to turn someone elses post argument around to somehow make you the victim, when all you're a victim of is your semi-coherent ramblings.

And you needed to look up the word irony.

...The wisecrack was just a little wisecrack towards the media in the US. :wave2:

You quote a useless rag, then want to slam the press in the US? Looks like a little :stir: to me.

Whatever, leave off "murderous" and the irony is staggering.

Ironic indeed.

I was :confused3 as heck until I did a search of the OP's posts.... I get it, now.

As a member of the mainstream press I say you should quote the Enquirer next. At LEAST quote an AMERICAN rag... :lmao:

It seems the source upset you. I apologize.

It would be absolutely crazy to consider that any murderous Jihadists would ever put children in danger when committing their attacks. Nah, they'd never do that, right?

For the record, I posted an article that had upsetting content while also recognizing the source is sometimes problematic and can, at times, be untrustworthy.

Considering that the terrorists have targeted children during their attacks, trained their own children to commit attacks, glorified their children when they committed attacks, set up children's 'recreational' camps to train children to commit attacks, photographed their babies in bomb belts as if they were going to commit attacks, and used pregnant women to commit attacks, I JUMPED TO THE CONCLUSION that the article could have some basis in fact.

Excuse me.

I've seen The Sun report the exact same stories as the National Enquirer on occasion...

No apologies are needed as I wasn't upset at all. I was amused. It's such a silly thing to do that I couldn't help but comment on it.

For the record, your comments regarding the article are lost on me. I didn't bother to waste my time reading it. You really do need to try and calm down a little though. There really isn't a monster in every closet and it's just not healthy to be so fearful for you or anyone around you.

Peachgirl, you drooling with sarcasm isn't a pretty picture. Nevertheless, I appreciate your concern. Thank you.

I'm not particularly interested in the beef everyone seems to have with the OP. However I'd like to comment on the idea of terrorists, specifically mothers, taking babies with them on suicide missions. I agree with the poster who said before 9/11 I would never have dreamed that the things these terrorists have done were possible. Now I know that anything is possible. I'm thankful that the UK gov't was on top of their game and seem to have the situation under control (or as under control as fighting the shadows that are these terrorist cells are). I will continue to go about my business as usual, travel when I can (which is rarely but not due to fear), and keep on keeping on.

I totally get the OP's concern and anger at the lack of humanity these terrorists have. It's an F'd up world out there.

Thank you for such a reasonable post. We share the same concerns which led me to post the original article. Thankfully, I was able to update this information with a more reliable source. Although, to be honest, I wish the information would have been incorrect.

I don't think anyone disagrees with the inane mentality of terrorists... they are TERRORists, aren't they? I also don't understand drunk drivers, pedophiles or people who physically and mentally abuse their spouses and children but I don't spend my life fearing or being concerned about what makes them do the things they do. It IS an f'd up world out there and guess what, it was F'd up for my people for MANY decades. We all have to survive no matter what maniacs dream up, and 'CONCERN' or panic doesn't solve anything.

Can you believe what they did, can you believe what they're planning??? Uh, YES. I've lived in this F'd up world for half a century and what I've personally experienced would make your hair curl. I'm NEVER surprised at what people do or think...even on this silly little board. We have to live our lives regardless and take care of our own personal little world, because no matter WHAT the media reports, it's the only thing in life we can control.
