who the heck uses dial up? iTunes LOL

I had to help my gf load iTunes for her new iPod. She lives where there is either dial up or DSL, she hates the DSL company and is waiting for Verizon FIOS. OK, so I started it at 730, 4 1/2 hrs ago and it is still going LOL, its at 34MB and from what I can find, it is a 57.8MB load It keeps losing connection and going back up, thank god it hasn't interupted the load, I told her to go to bed and it should be done by the am I really need to talk her into DSL!! My gosh!

And she knows 0 compter, so i have to go back and teach her iTunes Her and her hubby got iPods so I have to teach them both! Bless my soul

Why bother??? One song download from iTunes on dial up would take half an hour or longer!

My SIL has dial up - I don't know if DSL has come to their neck of the woods yet. She's got a bunch of pics from our recent trip to WDW - I don't know how I'm going to get her to upload them to shutterfly so I can get to them. It will take forever!

We have dial up because high speed is not available where I live. I go to Panara Bread and get a hot chocolate and use the internet there. For pictures and downloads it is much faster!

Well I did it 8 hrs at least for the download LOL I told them go to bed and let it run, they did and it was done by the am

They are only using CD's so no worry about buying off iTunes LOL. Now they have working iPods!

Now if it was a laptop, I could of done it here in 5 mins!
