Who the heck is Meeko?

I was reading about Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner in the '08 Unofficial Guide this evening and they said one of the characters at dinner is Meeko. I cannot figure out who this character is...can someone please help!

Ahhhh...I asked DH and DD if this was someone from that movie! I don't know that I have ever seen that movie all the way through! Thanks!

Do the characters for the liberty tavern change? we have dinner reservations there in a week and were told that the characters were mickey, minnie, pluto and goofy....

It's the raccoon from Pochontas. I only know this because my daughter has a stuffed raccoon, she named Meeko! We will just have to go by the liberty tavern to see him!

Went to LTT last November, no Meeko, sorry... I'm not even sure how Meeko would fit in to the group, sounds like a misprint.

When we went, it was Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, & Chip. No Mickey and certainly no Meeko...

I agree. not sure why Meeko would be there. I had Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, and Dale.

Meeko actually has appeared at Liberty Tree before as a regular, but not for a few years. I believe the most recent time that he was there in 2003 when Goofy, Chip and Dale were taken out of Liberty Tree's line-up for a short time because they were appearing in the Country Dancin' Jamboree. The characters at that time were Minnie, Pluto Meeko, and either Donald and Daisy or Suzy and Perla. The information that said that Meeko was there was probably old information that had not been updated. I think they'll put him in the line up from time because he loosly fits into the Colonial-era America setting of Liberty Square. Not quite sure about Suzy and Perla though.

I read that too! I was wondering why the racoon from Pocohantas would be in with those characters. Always loved the LTT- dinner last year was horrid (actually I guess 2/07 is this year)- we had "the table"- you know the one in between dining rooms? In the way of the servers and the stairs??? But the manager saw my tears and sent all my kids signed certificates and stuffed toys to make up for it. She was lovely!

We have pictures with Meeko from LTT but that was about ten years ago. We were just there last week and Meeko was not there.
