My husband bought me a couple hundred dollars worth of Christmas present at Epcot this past month. He had it shipped back home, so I wouldn't know what it was. It's been 2 1/2 weeks since we were there and he bought it. It still hasn't arrived. He wasn't given a tracking number, or offered shipping insurance. He didn't even think to ask. He called them last night and they said they'd tell the research department and they would call us. Anyone ever had this happen? Any chance we'll actually ever see what he bought? Who should we contact if the research department isn't any help? TIA

just curious - was this shipping thru disney (shipped directly from the store at the resort/park where you bought the items) or was this arranged thru the front desk of the resort that you were staying? (they just put you in touch with an outside shipping company)

If he paid with a CC he should have a ref# on his statement. That may help them find it at the store level.

BTW--Wow, what a nice hubby!! I want mine do shop at EPCOT for the holidays. :lovestruc

The paperwork that he filled out with your address has the tracking number on it. Did he get a copy of it? They usually attach it to the receipt.

Definitely have him check the paperwork. I know when I've bought things at Disneyland (and I would assume WDW would have the same policy), I was given a receipt that included my transaction # for tracking purposes. I don't remember if I was asked about insurance or not.

We bought stuff in the beginning of November one year and the shipping department was so behind that we didn't recieve it until mid-December. Two and a half weeks is pretty soon unless he had the package shipped express

We had a similar situation. Bought my son the monorail at the world of disney two years ago the first weekend in November. We recieved it the end of the second week in December. Quite a long time for an impatient 4 year old.

If he paid by credit card and the merchandise hasn't come by the time the bills come in,dispute the charges.

In 2004 I bought and shipped a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff and it took like 3 weeks for it to get to our house. It seemed REALLY slow!
Good Luck!

In January I bought a large snow globe at Disney and it took several weeks before I got it. I would expect at the holidays the transport time would be even a little longer.

He should have been given a form that he filled in with your address info on it, like another poster said it should have been attached to his receipt. They should be able to track the progress by that receipt.

Good luck!

First of all, he paid with cash. Never again though.

Secondly, I'm hoping everyone is right and it's just taking a while. It's been 3 weeks now.

Thirdly, there is a 7 digit number beginning with a letter on the shipping receipt. When he called guest services they could not find anything about his package with that number. We still have not heard from the research department. I told him to call everyday until we can talk to someone. If all else fails, we're going back in 2 weeks and you can bet we'll be seeing someone in person. :sunny:

Oh and it was bought at a store in Epcot and shipped from there.
