Who Remembers these restaurants?

Yes, the Pueblo Room was at the Contemporary on the 4th floor. I seem to remember a hallway at the south end of the floor that led to an out-of-the-way entrance. I was just coming of age and was suitably impressed with the room. God knows what I ate, but I remember the atmosphere from 30 years ago!

Yes! The Pueblo Room became part of Chef Mickey's, as I remember the tables on the MK side side of the Contemporary. We dined there in 1987; it was dreadful. Cold lasagna and indifferent service.

How was the Gulf Coast Room? Until V&A's it and the Empress Room were the only restaurants requiring jackets!

I remember having a great Sunday brunch at TOW restaurant in the Contemporary on my honeymoon. And we went to the Fireworks Factory also. Of course, that was when Toon Town was Mickey's birthday land and DTD was still the village at wdw. And we stayed at CB which was new then.

We like going to wdw every year because it's always the same, but I guess it isn't . . .

I remember (and ate at) all of these restaurants - lots of great memories! Another restaurant that we really liked when our children were small was (Davey) Crockett's Tavern out at FW. It was right next to the HDDR. Great food and a wonderful wait staff - so friendly and efficient. We really miss that one! I think that it took the place of the Campfire Snack Bar (where my wife and I had lunch one time during our honeymoon!).

That was the Baton Rouge Lounge....and it featured Denny Zavitt and the Riverboat Rascals! We had lots of fun there...on our honeymoon in 1986 and on subsequent trips.

What's now SOG was first the Golf Resort and then the Disney Inn. They had a huge Sunday brunch.

I used to love going to the Baton Rouge Lounge to hear John Charles.

There was a Minnie Mia's where Wolfgang Express is at DtD, Goofy's Grill (Ghiradelli), Donald's Dairy Dip ... I think that is the Lego Store now.

I never ate there, but there was reported to be a restaurant at the old Golf Resort/Disney Inn that specialized in Fried Ice Cream.

CRT used to be King Stephan's Banquet Hall.

I loved the fried ice cream. It was served on a peach half with a custard vanilla sauce. The restaurant is still there of course but the menu has changed.

We loved Ariels and the Fireworks Factory. We ate the Empress Lilly our first trip and thought we were so cool because it was such a fancy place. We were just talking about the Empress Lilly the other day.

I miss the Empress Lilly, my grandfather used to take me there....

I remember the Fireworks Factory and going to the character breakfast at Empress Lilly. I also miss the Catwalk Lounge at the Disney Studios.

Tangaroa Terrace. Loved it there! They had great breakfasts and humongous drinks!

Broadway at the Top at Top of the World - One of my favorite restaurants and I still miss it terribly!

Oh gosh, yes. Something I think about every time I'm in the park! It had to be the coolest place ever to get a drink.

Anyone remember the character meals at what is now the playhouse Disney show? We went there in 1998 & saw Alladin, Meko, Jennie, & Esmerelda. I forgot what it was called but they had a good breakfast buffet.

I remember Minnie's menuhune breakfast & King Stephan's.

I never ate there but it was supposed to be the companion restaurant to the Yachtsman. Steak restaurant in the YC and Seafood restaurant in the BC.

I stayed at the Poly - and I remember getting the Tonga Toast stuffed with bananas Don't remember the name of the restuarant.

Back then there were only 3 resorts. Poly, Contemp, Golf Resort.

WDW has sure come a long way in 25 years.

We ate at Fireworks Factory on our honeymoon in 1995. I'd planned to go back this trip to celebrate our 10th anniversary. I am so upset it's closed! It was really good. I had a habanero pepper come with my meal and mistakenly took a bite. I nearly died! Well, DH couldn't believe it was so hot... so he took the entire thing and ate it!!! He almost vomited and drank a gallon of water! I have very fond (and funny) memories from that night. We still laugh about it now!

It was the week of New Years 1989....Empress Lily

DM,DF,DH,DS10,DD4 and myself, we stayed at the Disney villas and had the use of a golf cart and we took it to DTD, kids loved it,

We had dinner at 8pm, long wonderful dinner but DD4 was so tired that the wonderful waitstaff took fresh linen table clothes and made a little bed for her in the corner!!! They also made her a sliced strawberry tower thingy and gave her chocolate truffles, she was in heaven!

We also were on a dinner plan and our dinner was over $500 for all of us, now that is getting your moneys worth!!

Loved This Restaurant. There Were Large Windows All Around The Restaurant Looking Out Onto The Beautiful Landscaping Of The Polynesian. Such A Peaceful Atmosphere. Sure Wish They Would Re-open It.

There was a character breakfast right on the steamboat Empress Lily. I wonder if that is what you remember?

LBVC was by the golf course a little further North and I guess a little West of the Village.
