Who remembers the Gold Key package?

Yet another disney fanatic question for the day!!!

Who remembers the gold key package? It's now the dream maker gold with a ton of restrictions.

We did this twice. It was the Gold Key and also I believe Around the world plan. I do not remember alot of restrictions however the World was alot smaller back then. We had 3 sit down meals a day, unlimited rec, unlimited park admission, etc. After these trips we bought into the dvc in 1993.

Yes, there was really no restrictions back then. You could rent the power boats for as long as the gas would last and then go get another. Now on the dream maker I think your limited for 1 hour at a time and then you have to go back and wait in line again etc. The Fishing excursions are still unlimited but if you use more than 60 minnows you have to pay for them etc. With the meals back then whatever you ordered it was covered. Now they allow you soup or salad, one entre', one desert etc.

We remember the gold key package...we took our honeymoon at the poly on that package. It was a blast!

Not that the Dream maker Gold is bad, but there were almost no restrictions/questions asked.

The first time I got the Dream maker gold my son was 2.5 Yrs. old and he was supposed to eat for free and they were charging us meal credits for him when they shouldn't have. I was like what the hell is a meal credit? Then Narcoosi's in the GF turned out to be a double meal credit... Yikes
