Who really has more fun at Disney? Kids or Adults?

My first trip to Disney when I was upper-elementary I remember enjoying, but I wasn't hooked. Returned with the kids when I was almost 30 and completely became addicted. I love to see Disneyland with my kids and watch them experience things and feel the "magic". However, I think the adults do have more fun because dh and I don't mind the lines as much and don't get as completely exhausted by the end of the day from overstimulation. If we had funds and time to sneak off, we sure would enjoy going just by ourselves and spending more time doing what WE love of Disney.

Well, neither I nor my best friend have kids, but we go to DL and WDW frequently. I am just like a little girl when I set foot inside those gates! And my energy lasts from park open to park close. Now I wish that would happen to me every day of my life - I could certainly get a lot more done that way! :teeth:

I know its amazing, how when you walk through those gates you are transformed into a child. You could literally skip and play all day as you forget every single worry in the world. You are totally carefree. If you tried explaining that to a person who has never been to the land or the world, they wouldnt understand at all. Its just a feeling that over takes you. Its actually quite breath taking. I never would have imagined it. I guess thats the magic of disney.

Its funny cause my cousin he is 7 and his mentality is so innocent "EVERYTHING IS REAL", and when he saw Push the little talking Garbage can, he had a 15 minute conversation with the garbage can. He then walked around the park trying to talk to every garbage can :teeth: :lmao:

But my aunt who brought him thought that was the cutest thing ever and talks about it to this day. It was so fun for her to be able to watch her child in this "AWE of WONDER". I mean moments like that are priceless. For children its the time of their lives, but it is for adults too, but adults get to enjoy situtations for different reasons oblivious to the child.

This is just a topic thats kinda on my mind, I can see both sides and each are wonderful in their own way.
This is my feeling exactly! I had always wanted to go to Disneyland, and finally my dream came true; by then I was going with two small children!

I loved seeing in person things I'd only seen on TV. I loved riding on the rides, meeting the characters (even though I know it's just a person dressed up), and the fireworks and parades were wonderful!

I don't even know that I can put into words how it felt to watch my children there. Their thrill at the rides and characters and fireworks and parades was infectious, and the expressions on their faces were so joyful, just pure bliss!

While I think it would be so much fun for DH and I to go by ourselves and get to do things we had to skip because of the kids, I cannot WAIT to take the kids back. This is when they will believe in the magic, and I don't want to miss out on that!

It's a toss up between myself and my son (7). We've visited the past two years and the both of us have a blast. My sister (who now lives in Irvine, has an AP, and has to call me whenever she visits just to rub it in.) joins us on these trips and my wife has commented that it seems that she is in the company of 3 kids when we are there.

My wife is a bit Disney-ed out after two back-to-back trips and says she can wait another 4-5 years before returning. This is completely opposite of my son and myself (I'm trying to figure a way to squeeze in a trip in April '07).

He started asking when we could go back not two days after returning. (It's a weekly question now.) When I told him that Mommy wasn't interested in going back so soon,...not for another few years, he paused and then replied; "Well, I'm going to miss her. But we can still go sooner, right?"

We went in October and my parents- The Grandparents- met us there. The first time my dad went was when he turned sixty. He is now almost 65 and has been 6 times and can't get enough! My kids love Disneyland and I think my husband and I loved it just as much. On the flight home we were discussing how long it would be until our next trip to Disneyland. We started at 4 years and I think now we might wait 2 years :cool1:

My family and I have been going our whole lives. I have to honestly say I love it more as an adult and for sure more than DD or DH. And my siblings and parents don't go at all anymore :confused3 . I admit I am pretty obsessed  It's true though - entering the parks just brings a magical excitement over me that I cannot compare to anything else.

Ok...we just got back from WDW and it's official. Adults have more fun than the kids. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
