Who needs May/June codes?

"So, you don't have to show anything to the resort, because the PIN is already in the computer. If it is not there, you will be asked to pay a higher rate."

if a confirmation comes here in the mail with the discounted rates and nothing about a pin....there is no way I can see them being able to jack up the rate at checkin.

Don't count on it. My hubby is a CM and we are booked at CM rates, however, if by chance he is no longer a CM when our trip comes, I am absolutely, 100%, sure that they will change our CM rate back up to rack rate, even though my confirmation sheet quotes a 50% discount on the room when we check in. The same goes for booking an AP rate room. If you are asked and can not produce that AP, you will be charged for rack rate. I personally would never book a room I even questioned that I might not be eligible. When I go on vacation, I don't want to worry about anything, and the wondering if I'm going to have to pay rack when I check in would not be how I want to start my vacation. JMHO.

Be careful guys. I tried several times over the weekend to use this code. The first two times I got female CMs who told me this was definitely an e-mail code and I could not use it without a PIN number as the computer would jack it up to rack rate at check-in. The third time I tried I got a very nice male CM who said he would see what he could do. I told him I had an existing ressie for Jan 9th-15th, but wanted another for May 15th-21st using this code that we're discussing. I also told him I was an AP holder. He asked for my zip code and said no problem and I didn't need a PIN number to use this code. He gave me great rates for POP and POFQ. I opted for a split stay between them , but as we were booking them, the CMs computer kept freezing upon him. He said it had been doing that all morning and he was going to put me on hold until he could get someone to help him. A few minutes later I was connected to a female CM who said he had apparently disconnected me. I told her what rates he had gotten and about the code. She checked and said 'no way' and that if he had booked using that code that the computer would have jacked it up at check in and I would have had to pay rack rate regardless of what my confirmation said, because I didn't have a PIN # on file in the computer. I told her he had asked for my zip code to see if I was eligible for this code and he said 'yes, no problem' . She then said well he was wrong and she apologized and offered me the room at rack rate. She said if room codes came out to look for them around Jan, but to definitely not to try to book a code like this one. I told her I was going to be at WDW in Jan and was afraid I was going to miss the codes. She again apologized. Just a few minutes after we hung up, I got a very apologetic call from the helpful male CM who apologized profusely and said he was wrong and unfortunately anyone who booked this code who doesn't have a PIN # will be charged full rack rate at check-in, but at least we had caught it in time for me.

OK, my DH just called twice and spoke to two different CM's and here is what we were told. First, any e-mail or direct mailing codes that anyone might be eligible for are posted next to their name in the system far in advance of the actual mailing. So, those of us who got the code probably had the discount next to our name. I'm assuming that was true for us since we didn't even know about a code when we made our reservation. The second CM said codes are random, and are mainly given because of frequency of visits. But, the second CM was adamant that nothing is needed upon check-in. She said once you pay your deposit and get your confirmation, that's it, it's a done deal. She told us we were good, not to worry and enjoy our trip. I think the most frustrating thing about all this is the lack of consistency of information. One CM says one thing, one CM says another; it's hard to know what information to trust.

I would super appreciate it if someone could share the code with me for May 2005............thanks! :)

I would have had the low rate if I would not have pushed it. I had a confirmation number, a deposit paid and everything. My fear was that I would show up for a magical vacation to find I am getting charged a higher rate.

That is one thing I could not chance. I agree that those that have gotten the rate may have a code in their info that they did not know about. Many email codes get caught in email spam filters and never get to you. You can actually call and ask if any codes are associated with your name.

Have fun....

Hey I just called 18008280228 and got the at room at POR (always Dixie in my heart) for 79 a night April 29 to May 3 using the code. We were also offered ASmusic and Sports for 59 a night. ( I would of done it for movies since I think DD would of liked it, but not sure if I 4 year old princess would like sports or music.) We are planning on spending the rest of the week at VB with DVC points.

I asked about AP rates and he said non came up for that time. I asked about t he PIN and he said I didn't need it since it was in my profile. :cheer2:

Thanks so much for sharing (both the code and the 1800 number.)

Here's to 2 trips in 2005 with AP!!!!!

:cool1:

Hi, all,

I just called to see if I might have a code and sure enough, I do. Am rather surprised (and delighted). She told me, as posted, that it is on your account (although the PO has never stayed at a Disney resort before, so that's curious!) and the code is good Feb 17 thru July 4th.

I booked a March at POFQ for $104 a night ( peak season) and WL Courtyard in June for $156 (not including tx).

I'm wondering is why another poster has a $79 rate for a moderate within the same time frame. Maybe end April is considered regular season and March is peak?

Good luck to all and I hope many find a code attached to their Disney profile!

If you check in April 17th or after you are in the regular season versus peak season in March/early April.

I'm just curious.....those who are taking the chance by booking a rate you are not entitled to....would you also buy your 10 year old a child's ticket or take you 3 year old in with out a ticket? I really am just curious because it all sort of sounds the same to me, but people go crazy here about the ticket issues. If you ask 100 CM's, some will say not to worry about the tickets, just like some have said not to worry about the PIN.

I would be scared to death to book a rate I might not be entitled to.....suddenly having a room I thought was going to be $120 turning into $400 a night once I was already in FL.

Some of you are way braver than I am......

I think I'll call and ask them to check my profile for codes. I have MSN e-mail and it's terrible. People are always telling me that they have sent me e-mails, and I never get them. I hate MSN for that reason. If that code is not in my profile, there is no way I'd even try to reserve with that rate.
And to answer my3kids question, I'd never ever take a 3 year old without buying a ticket. In my opinion, that is wrong and is a wrong message to send to my children.
But, my DS will turn 3 during our next trip, and per WDW policy, I don't have to buy him a ticket since he was 2 at check in. Last time for free for him.

We here from Ma could use the help I have a grand gathering set up and every bit of info is helpful to get 20 of us there! We are heading there in June thanks ahead of time, and
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! :grouphug:

Well I just tried to call and ask them to check if I'm eligible for any codes, but they refused to do it. They said, you will get an e-mail if eligible.

I think that's being a little unfair. The problem with this whole situation is that nobody really knows if they are entitled to the rate or not. From what we've all been able to gather, the code is attached to our profile on the CM's computer. Since I haven't seen a post from anyone yet saying they have actually received an e-mail or direct mailing with a code, and since the CM we talked to said they attach the code to your profile far in advance of sending out the mailing, how is anyone supposed to know if they are eligible unless they ask? As we've seen, some people were denied the rate w/o a pin, some were given the rate only to be denied later when the CM realized there wasn't a pin, and others asked for, and were given the code rate w/o giving a pin. Like I've said in my other posts, we were given the rate before this whole thread started, with no mention of a code, and the CM we spoke to today said we did have it attached to our profile. Perhaps others that got the rates have the code attached to their profiles as well, and are perfectly entitled to the rates they received. Since you don't know for sure that isn't the case, I think it is unfair to imply they are trying to cheat the system.

One of the CM's we spoke to today said he had been following this controversy on the boards, and they have had several phone calls about it. I'm sure by now the CM's are all clued in as to what the proper procedure is regarding the code, and only those who are entitled will be receiving it. In the end, though, the problem is that this was something I think no one was supposed to know about yet, since no one has actually received a mailing, and that's why there is so much confusion.

If a qualified Disney employee told you that you could use a child's ticket for your 10 y/o, or your 3 y/o was told by same that he could go in w/o a ticket, would you argue with them? Would you INSIST on paying? I called and ASKED if this was a valid code and was told it was, despite voicing my concerns that it wasn't. There was no deception here. Unless I get to my resort and am told that the rate that I was quoted is wrong, then it will be I that is deceived, and there will be a confrontation from which I will not back down.
Is that the part that scares you?

I am going in June, I already have reservations. I would love to have any code that I can apply to this. I also have an AP,,,does anyone know if AP rates are out yet?
