Who moves you?

We are staying at OKW in a studio on the night we fly in (very late) and moving to BWV - 1 bedroom the next day. Do we have to take a taxi with our luggage or does DVC move our luggage for us. We would like to go straight to a park and then return at 4:30 at BWV. Is this possible?

I was moved by bell services when we had to change from Carribbean Beach to Port Orleans a few years ago. I am not sure if they always do this since it was a Disney error in our reservations!!!
 
Bell Services will make all of the arrangements for you. You can call them when you're ready to leave OKW and they will take your luggage and have it sent to BWV. Make sure to have everything you will need with you, as it may be tough to get back into your bags until you see them again at BWV.

There is no charge to do this but, tips are always appreciated- I tip at both ends (OKW and BWV).

They won't automatically take the bags to your new room. You will have to go down and claim them after your room is ready and they will then deliver them to the room for you.

The luggage is often not at it's destination resort until after 4:00pm- so be patient.

A few weeks ago, we moved from OKW to FW cabins. Bell services moved our luggage for us, and everything was already in our room at FW when we arrived. Don't know if it was just because we had perishables (milk and such) which they'd put in the refrigerator. The other times I've switched resorts, I had to call bell services when I arrived, no perishables.
 
We are doing almost the same as the OP in September. When Bell Services takes the luggage, is it from the room or do we bring it to the front desk and check out? Can we express check out and not even go down there at all?

At the second resort we DO go to Bell Services to claim the luggage even if we want it delivered. Do I understand this all correctly?

The Bell Staff will pick up your luggage at your room- no need to carry it yourself to the desk. If you are signed up for Express Checkout, there is no need to go to the desk at all.

At the new resort, after checking in, go to the Bell Desk and ask to pick up your luggage- they will then deliver it to your room. I was told they will not deliver it to the room unless you have already checked in and claimed the bags. Apparently some have had a different experience.

Either way, it's a nice service.

I moved from BWV to AKL once. They picked up at the room, but I had to checkin and request delivery at AKL. I also tipped both ways.
