Who may have to cancel in May?

Due to work issues for my DH we may have to cancel our May 3rd trip! This has been a really tough year with money issues, health issues(some still unresolved),my Dads sickness and passing,etc. Now we may have to give up this vacation which is also my 50th birthday celebration. I have been kind of blue the last few months, but this will be a really big dissappointment. Maybe if any of you out there send some positive thoughts and wishes my way I might get a little pixie dust and not have to cancel after all!

AWWWWWWWWW-im so sorry to hear this-I will say a special prayer tonite.
We were very worried over Delta striking as to our May trip as well. But i think we are fine now so i will send a prayer & a hug your way.

Hope you can go in May. If not, check the rates in Aug/Sept. for the free dining plan.
I got 5 nights at the POP- 1 day in the park (b/c we will do the Halloween Party one day) for 2 adults and 2 kids for about $700. That includes all of our food! I actually had planned on just going 4 nights, but the restaurants that I wanted to try ended up being 5 TS meals. It was cheaper to add an extra hotel night than pay for the dinner!

The problem is we really can't deal with the heat that time of year. And we live in So. Florida! Us Floridians never go outside in Summer if we can help it. So if we have to cancel we are off for a long time because my DD returns to college in August and we wanted this vacation to include the whole family.

I know how you feel! We were planning for almost a year and I had a medical emergency and had to cancel! We were supposed to leave next week. On the positive side, things are OK now and we have rebooked for August (free dining!) although I am concerned about the heat and hurricanes. We'll have to see as things get closer. Waiting until next April seems impossible but that would be the next available time we could go!

Well I had to cancel out trip last year. We are going next week. I can tell you when you finnally get to make the trip you will appreciate it that much more. I hope all turns out well for you and your family and you do get your vacation.

We are going to be there Friday. We are staying at the Pop for the first time. I am happy to hear that things worked out for you. Try to save money by planning ahead. I usually do breakfast in the room. I also try to take any Disney stuff from previous trips to pacify the kids (towels, mickeys, light up wands). This time I went to the Disney store (they are having their 50% clearance sale) and I bought the kids t-shirts for $4.99 and light up Cinderella necklaces for 2.99. I will take these with me instead of paying $25.00 for a t-shirt and $15.00 for the necklace in the park. I also take drinks and snacks into the parks, but we usually purchase ice cream. The kids don't know the difference and we save a ton! If we didn't do this, we wouldn't be able to go as often as we do.
