ok -- we've baked the cookies and used the cookie cutter of the snowman w/mickey hat.

can anyone post a picture of how you decorated them?

I don't have a picture cause they didn't last long enough. :lovestruc I used chocolate icing for the ears and face. I used white icing to fashion a "scarf", then used the red & green icing that was included to stripe the scarf and add buttons. The cookies turned out really cute.I didn't taste the icings that were included until I finished the cookies. The green is sour apple flavored and kinda yucky unless you have a sour apple fetish

I looked and looked and never found the cookie cutter. I'm hoping to live vicariously through other people's pictures! :)

We did. The ears are decorated with melted dark chocolate chips.

I hope more people post pictures!!

Adrorable :santa:

DD is having a cookie decorating party as we type! However, they aren't quite turning out as planned. I let the girls (they're 15) dye the icing and we have some interesting colors to say the least.

My brother sent us the cookie cutter kit in the mail (we were there in Oct) and my girls made some, but ours did not last long either! BTW my oldest DD loved the green gel!

MrandMissVacation, can you please post nthe recipe for your icing (the white)? They look professionally done, and I cannot get the right consistency...ever.

Okay...how did I miss a cookie cutter such as this!?!?! We love cookie cutters (and the cookies we make with them LOL) and would love to add a Mickey Snowman cookie cutter to our collection.

One of my Room-Moms at school gave it to me, along with my class gift. :teacher:

My students know me so well!

Scroll down to the end of the page to the Glace Icing recipe. I did not use this cookie recipe. I believe the trick to WHITE icing is the clear vanilla. I found mine at Meijer in the kitchen supply area, not the baking isle.
I have used Royal Icing, but I like this recipe better. Very easy to adjust from piping to flooding icing.

And thank you for the compliments. I find it relaxing to decorate cookies!:lovestruc

Those are adorable! I wish I had that cutter. I need to be DONE for Christmas but the kids and I may make a batch of cut outs and decorate them today. Looks like I'll be making a trip to Michaels or Joanns! Thanks for the icing recipe.

I think most people got their cutters at Walgreens. I'm not sure if they are sold elsewhere.

I haven't used mine yet since I think Santa will be leaving one in my stocking!

I failed to take photos of my first batch of these cookies.

But I used black colored sugar for the ears, and just sprinkled red or green sugar on the rest of the cookies. (I was a little pressed for time)

Somehow I missed these during previous trips to Walgreens, so we went today and not only found they still had a bunch of them- but they were also on clearance!! :yay:

So I got some extra, I know they won't reach anyone in time for Christmas, but if anyone wants one PM me and I will send out to the first three.

:goodvibes Em

I knew they would go fast, wish had more but the three are all gone.

Now if I could just decorate mine as nice as MrandMissVacation. :goodvibes

Merry Christmas all! :santa:

I found some today at my Walgreens too! They were $1.49 on sale. Got one for my neighbor who is as big a Disney fan as we are. I'm going to bake her a dozen and put the set in the tin so she can make her own too.
