Who loves Pins?

I don't trade but I buy. I found pretty quickly that I ahd to have some kind of focus on what to buy. I narrowed it down to resort pins and attraction pins and special even pins. No character pins. Any resort I go to I buy a pin and I'm gradually collecting them for all the attractions that I've done. It's fun. I love looking at them when I'm home and remembering when and where I bought them.

Ok...I may get flamed for this....but has anyone ever bought pins on ebay for the sole purpose of trading with cast members? DD wanted to get into the pin trading last trip, but as we all know, at $8-10 a pin it can get expensive rather quickly. On ebay you can buy pins in large quantities for $2 a pin.

I just bought a starter set last week at MK. CAn you buy pins and the lanyards at your local disney stores? Just wondering. We are wanting to get the kids their own for next year's trip.

They do not sell lanyards or pins at the Disney Store...someone said they found "cheap versions" of the lanyards at Hot Topic, but as far as I know pins are not sold anywhere but the parks
