Who lives in the NYC area?

I was wondering who else on the G&L@D boards lives in the New York City area? I know several of us are, but I haven't seen a thread for us to introduce ourselves to each other.

My partner and I live in Jersey City. We are two stops on the PATH from Lower Manhattan, and two stops from the West Village. We'd love to organize a meet sometime in August where we could all get together, put faces with screen names, and have some fun getting to know each other.

So if you're in the Tri-State area, say "hi" and let us know if you'd be interested in participating in a meet!

yo! My partner Chris and I live in lovely Bloomfield. I'm a NY (Yonkers) transplant. Don't get into the City as much as we should but go inevery now and then. We own DVC and this is the first year in many we are not doing WDW! Opted for a cruise in September instead. Going with good friends (CSP). Anyway - can't promise a meet as I work many hours - but its possible.

NYC here. We live in Forest Hills/Rego Park area of Queens. I work right on the edge of SoHo as well.

If you set up a meet, you can generally assume I'll be there if it involves a drink or two!

I live in NYC in spirit. I subscribe to New York magazine (does that qualify? )...I've been catching up on a backlog of them at the gym. They make the time fly by! I think I visit NYC (many miles away) more often than I visit DC (10 miles away). DC is a pretend city, kind of like a pretend mall (I will keep that definition to myself as not to offend the masses, I'm sure I just offended DC residents!).

Since several of us have chimed in, let's get started in planning a meet. I suggest we plan a date in August for us to gather and get to know each other. I'm available Sat. Aug. 12, Sat. Aug. 19 or Sat. Aug. 26, in the late afternoon or early eveing. I'm with Rick on his suggestion... I'd love to meet up for cocktails someplace fun in Manhattan. Rick, any particular spot you have in mind?

NJ here! Middlesex county to be exact but I'll be starting my first job in a few weeks in NYC, on madison ave and wall street. My bf (steve) is also from Middlesex county (starting his final year for the architecture program down at u. of maryland next month).

A meet sounds good - don't know if I'll be able to make it because with studying for the cpa exam, I find my time is really crunched, but I'll make every effort!

A few of us NY'ers will be in Disney the last week in August... and are planning a Disney meet.. so... we won't be here to meet in NY.. Ironic isn't is?? LOL!! I would definitely be up for a NY gathering... Just can't do that 26th date!

if you ever plan a brunch on a Sunday at the Chart House hmm at Weehawken count me in! Yum! And I don't know my way in NYC even though we used to live in Jersey City, NJ plus am not good with tunnels nor ferries
