Who likes their waterproof rain jacket?

I'm looking to get my DTwin a waterproof rain jacket for her birthday later this month. I have one that I love by Quest, but can't seem to find that brand online. I want a lightweight, with only a mesh lining, that's waterproof with the hood attached. I want to find one that does not feel like plastic or rubber and does not sound "crunchy". Anyone have one that they like like this?

I do. Its a North Face Venture Jacket. It has coverings over all the zippers, so driving rain cannot penetrate. It is incredibly light, and not "crunchy" at all.

I have an LLBean rain jacket that is hooded, but it doesn't have mesh/lining. It does its job even in heavy rain.

My wife has an LL Bean rain jacket, too, and she likes it as well. It isn't as impervious to rain as mine is, but it was much more affordable, and came in prettier colors.
