Who likes burnt hot dogs?

Hot dogs must be blackened. Either cooked on the grill outside or the Foreman grill. Can't eat hot dogs that have been boiled or microwaved. Ick!

And, flaps, that is the way to eat marshmallows!

the only way I considered them edible was if they were burnt beyond recognition and then drowned in mustard.

Yes - you have the technique down perfectly. Sounds right to me.

Not a burnt weenie fan (with all respects to Mr. Zappa), but some foods just taste better on the charred side. I kinda like bacon that's just a little too cooked:D

I have to tell you about our block party last night. We had the Firemen come out to show the kids the truck and they related a story about the new kid on the block there and his cooking abilities. Well, he decided to cook two lbs of bacon on a cookie sheet on top of the stove and set fire to the fire station!!!!

By the way, it was a ladder truck and they told us that it holds 150 gallons of gas and it takes 12 gallons to go about two miles. SOOO if you have a false alarm call the firestation and tell them not to come- you are making them spend 20 dollars of our tax payer dollars if you live two miles away!!!!!

Oh and they all ate the bacon but the new kid has to be supervised while cooking!

I love everthing burnt!! Including the edges on my cream cheese brownies! YUM!: :wave2:

Cream Cheese Brownies... Yummmmmm. This coffee shop I worked in made some pretty delicious ones.

I like everything burnt, esp. crackers. Burnt Wheat Thins and Cheez Its are the best.

The only "hot dogs" I'll eat are Smart Dogs and those are just soy.

The only way I like them! With mustard of course!

I love burnt hot dogs and sausages on the grill

Burnt is great. As kids we used to dig the potatoes out of the ground in the neighborhood gardens and throw them right in a fire we would build in the prarie down the street. after a bit, we would spike them with a stick out of the fire, eat them (burning our mouths) right on the stick, charred skin and all. I can taste it now, LOL, a childhood memory. Burnt toast is good too.

chell...I wish I knew...I drove to WDW in May. Might be hitting Hilton Head next summer...not too sure.

If you order from Buffalo Foods.com I recommend (besides the Sahlens) Chiavettas Chicken Barbeque sauce...it is the best, when the do Chicken Barbeques for fundraisers the smell is enough to make you buy them. Also Bison chip dip...won't eat any other kind. Webers mustard...a bit of horsradish gives it a really good kick. Chefs spaghetti sauce is pretty amzing too.

I have family that lives out of town, we always take care packages when we go visiting.

Oh, by the way, my hot dogs were very good...I had 2 with no salads. I made mine nice and burnt, cooked slow enough so they were all split open...yum yum.

I thought I was the only one that liked burnt toast. I like it when it's burned so much you can scrape the charred stuff off (not that I do, but I COULD). :D

Thanks Nancy! I LOVE Weber's. I used to be able to order it through a local grocery store, but they stopped that service.

You guys are soooo bad... I made a burnt one for dinner just because of this thread... YUMMMMMMM.....

Ah, we used to call those "Mickeys."

LOL:laughing:

I like mine done but not burnt. DW on the other hand likes hers burnt outside AND inside. When we cook out, I have to split hers open and burn all 4 sides. She want even get a hotdog in a restaurant. She orders cheesedogs instead.

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: I love hot dogs slightly charred. The only thing better is a $5 hot dog with an $8 beer at the ball park...mmm....
