~!Who knew you could relax in Disney?~Mother/Daughter Tr~5/2 May Trip Plans Days 5-8

We decided to head over to Test Track but skipped it due to an hour wait. I know we have become line snobs

Don't worry, My family and I have also become ride snobs over the years. We avoided Olivanders in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter because it had a super long wait time. It happens to the best of Disney fans.

Those are great pictures of the "Living with the Land". What type of camera are you using? I love that area of Epcot. Wished I worked there.
I am using a Samsung TL 220. It's a simple point and shoot but I love it! It also has an LCD screen on the front so you can see yourself if your taking a picture of yourself

I really wanna try T-Rex... it looks yummy :) I think the ice age room would be awesome to sit in. And those nachos look DELICIOUS.. although they look like they type of appetizer I would get and then feel very guilty about eating afterwords :lmao: But thanks for the pictures!

Trex was a lot of fun! I absolutely love nachos and these were amazing!

I am glad I am not the only one

Aw I am anxious to go to WOHP in August and I hope I don't encounter any ridiculous lines!

Our bags came!! :cool1: I cannot even tell you how excited I was to get these bags!! When I saw that the "40th Anniversary" bags were coming out I knew I'd have to have one because my first Disney trip was opening year. I was 5 years old and the park had been open a few months when my dad found out he had a business convention in Miami. My mom talked him into stopping at Disney World first where we spent 2 nights at the Poynesian and 2 days at the Magic Kingdom. (at that time your hotel choices were either the CR or Poly and the park was small enough to see in a short time) For me, it was love at first sight and became a lifelong love affair :lovestruc So that is why I am so excited about this bag...

Mine is the "letter carrier" and Caitlin's is the wristlet. I like the letter carrier styles for shopping and park touring. I like to have my hands free so that style is perfect! Caitlin wanted a wristlet because she has the larger bag she got last year. We love them

Back soon with a trip update!

They are gorgeous!! I wonder if they will have those when we're down in August? I hope so...I love that pattern! Can you believe that tomorrow's April already...we're going to be in WDW before we know it!!

Thank you :) I'm sure they will still have the pattern in August. I just couldn't resist the 20% off

Since we have our family trip coming up in May, tomorrow I can say "NEXT MONTH WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!!" :woohoo::woohoo:

Oh my goodness that's right....I am so focused on all of us being there in August that I forgot about your May trip!!! You'll get to try out your new bags:banana:

I don't know how but I missed a day or two of your report:confused3
I wish I would have known about that 20% off at the Disney store. Oh well,
maybe next time. Can't wait to hear about the rest or your trip. T rex does look pretty cool. I don't think my teenagers would be into it though, LOL.

Caitlin, good luck on your studies. You are brave to go into Politics. You will need luck there. Politics can be so tricky these days.

For us May is our "big" trip and August is our "bonus" :) We are saving our bags for the trip so they will get broken in then :)

Well I'm glad you're all caught up :)

We ended up at TRex mainly because I had gotten a $25 Landry's gift card from My Points that we had planned to use at Yak and Yeti. Since we skipped YY I wanted to use up the card so we gave TRex a try. It was cool but not someplace we'd hurry back to. :)

We woke up early, yes again, and found that the most dreaded sight in all of WDW had been slipped under our door! Yes, we woke to the dreaded ME docs  It was hard to believe that it was our last full day at Disney. It had been an incredible week at two beautiful resorts and it was now coming to a close.

Our plan for the final day had been to visit AK. We had managed to miss it all week so it was now or never. (well not never but not again until our next trip ;)) I had scheduled a pre-park opening adr at Tusker House and lunch at Yak and Yeti. We scrapped those plans in favor of spending the day at Typhoon Lagoon. We all thought it looked really cool when we were there the day before and we thought it would be a fun last day.

We ate breakfast in the room and decided that since TL didn't open until 10am we could do rope drop at Epcot and then go over to TL. You see, we had managed to miss Test Track on our many Epcot visits that week and as we hail from the Motor City it was inconceivable that we skip that ride! So we packed a bag with our bathing suits and towels and headed over to Epcot.

Now besides the beauty of the Epcot resorts, one of the best things about staying there is the "private" entrance to World Showcase. It is so cool to feel as though you have the whole place to yourselves!

Caitlin found the phone numbers to these on the Dis and can't wait to call them in May

We made it just in time for the rope drop ceremony but it was kind of strange watching from behind

As soon as the park "opened" we headed to Test Track. We were so excited and then when we got there it was closed! CM's were out front telling people to "come back later". We were so bummed!

Since we had time to kill we went over to Innoventions so Dale and Caitlin could try out Sum of All Thrills again.

Now apparently the first time they went on it, it was too mild so this time they decided to shake things up (unbeknownst to me)

While I was waiting for them I called my mom to check on the house and dogs and catch up with her. Well I look up just in time to see them board and then I see the thing start to flip over!

I actually shrieked into the phone I was so startled! I scared the heck out of my mom too :rotfl2: It turns even though it scared me, they loved it! They ended up riding two more times since there wasn't a wait :cool1:

When they'd had their fill we headed to the Epcot bus stop and decided we'd catch the first resort bus to show up and then catch a TL bus from there.

Next time..Typhoon Lagoon :woohoo:

I love the bags!!! I want one.........hmmm never know. I will have to watch for the 20% off again!

Great to see the update, I feel so behind on here. Ok dumb question #1. My girls and I want to eat at Beaches & Cream on our next trip. Is that one of the restaurants that you can walk to Epcot from? And because the entrance you guys mentioned was a private one, does that mean you can only access it with your card, being linked to your hotel? Wow I just confused even myself. We are staying at POP, but want to try the mentioned restaurant, so is it possible to walk to Epcot or do we need to ride busses again?

Whew!!!:rolleyes1 I need to start taking notes when I read these!!! :rotfl:

Thank you :)

Yes its just a short walk to Beaches and Cream from Epcot or you could take the boat. The entrance really isn't private it just feels that way in the morning since only people staying at the resorts there use it that early.

When are you girls going? Also-with warmer weather coming we need to plan a Dis Meet :)

Great update! I LOVE empty World Showcase! :yay: LOVE LOVE LOVE those Dooney's!!! I was almost positive I wanted the princess cross-body but now I'm not so sure!! Decisions, decisions.... :confused3

Thank you :) Isn't the empty WS the best?!

Well whatever you decide you cannot go wrong with a Disney Dooney! :goodvibes

So with today being April 1st....we can officially say...... NEXT MONTH WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!! :dance3::dance3::dance3:

Exactly 5 weeks from today Caitlin and I check-in at All Star Sports for 2 nights :) We have never stayed there before BUT since we are doing the 5K we had to pick a resort that is an "official race resort" (in other words only 3 resorts have transportation to and from the race) so we went with the cheapest offered :thumbsup2 After checkin and lunch we'll head straight to a park :yay: We'll do the race on Saturday evening and then Dale will join us on Sunday at SSR :woohoo: We'll spend 5 nights there and head home Friday evening so we can attend my godson's wedding on Saturday afternoon. What a week! We can't wait :cheer2:

Yay!!!! Wow that came quick!!! You have a busy month ahead of you!!
We are going June 27th-July 2nd. It came up kind of out of the blue, we were checking flights almost daily for a couple of months and one day I logged on and saw there were 3 tickets left and the price was....um....sort of reasonable, by airlines standards anyways LOL. So I booked it. Oh and my 14 yr old got a pin emailed to HER (how is that anyways!!! haha) so we will enjoy free dining. I haven't had free time but I would like to put a ticker on here. Maybe after finals. lol Can't seem to spend a lot of time doing anything fun without feeling guilty!!!

And yes a Dis-meet would be so much fun!!! The places we could meet are endless!!
