Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

I only have a minute to post as we have gotten even more bad news. Well, let me rephrase that, we have received some great news and some tragic news.

First, the good news. My aunt's biopsy went well. They said that they don't know for sure but, from what they can tell, the cyst on her thyroid is benign and they won't have to do anything but watch it. They have scheduled blood work for March 7th and pre-op for March 9th. The surgery on her esophagus is scheduled for March 10th.

Now the tragic news. Jesse, Lacey's fiance, lost his grandfather yesterday in a horrific accident. His grandfather and uncle were cutting a tree down and the tree fell on his grandfather and killed him. While his uncle was trying to get the tree off the grandfather, the uncle suffered a heart attack. Needless to say, this is a sad time for Jesse's family. His uncle is guilt stricken because it was he who was cutting the tree when it fell.

I ask that you please remember Jesse's family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this heart wrenching time.

On the other hand, thank goodness that your aunt's biopsy went well, I take it she did ok with the anesthesia? I hope the other surgery goes well.

I liked the TSI pictures. I'm so glad that place is there for boys (and girls) to be able to run around and explore. River loves shooting the guns. It seems you always run into an intersting squirrel while your at Disney. I remember the one from your other report that was stealing the snacks from the vendor.

Hi Lisa! Wow, I was so behind! Haven't been able to get on lately because DH fell at work & sprained his ankle pretty bad. So he is on crutches & out of work for awhile. Now I am home taking care of not one, but two kids!

Glad to hear your Aunt is doing ok. So sorry about Jesse's grandfather & uncle. How terrible! I hope his uncle is able to find peace. I will be keeping the family in my prayers!

Lisa, I am just too far behind to comment on everything. I did read all the updates. I love the photos of you and John in front of the castle laughing and kissing; I also love the pic of John on the phone under the umbrella.

Thanks to each and every one of you for your kind words, thoughts and prayers! I think it's wonderful that we can provide support for each other in our lowest times and we can cheer each other on during the best of times. I read on another thread that they refer to their Dis friends as their "internet friends". I like that because that's how I feel about you all.

I spoke with Jesse yesterday to see how he and his family were holding up. He said that his uncle is doing okay physically but mentally he is struggling a bit. I can understand that as I am sure I would have those same emotions had that happened to me. Jesse's mother is doing as good as to be expected also. The funeral was this afternoon and I haven't spoken to Jesse today but Lacey has and he said it was hard but they knew that his grandfather had lived a good life and was in heaven with the Lord and has been reunited with his wife.

On a happier note, we did more wedding shopping this weekend and were able to snag awesome deals on the flowers needed to make the bouquets and boutiniers (Is that the right way to spell that?) for Lacey, 4 bridesmaids, Jesse and 4 groomsmen. We also found the greenery to put in with the other flowers we bought a month or so ago; and, little twiggie decorations she will use on her cake; and, 3 large rolls of netting needed to make bows/ruffles to decorate the stage.

We don't have church on certain Sunday nights so, next Sunday afternoon, my sisters, nieces, Mama and aunt will be coming over to our house and we're having a "let's see what else we need to bring this wedding together" party. I'm good at hosting parties and putting together the foods but my sisters are great at decorating. I'm excited about pulling everything out (believe me there are lots of boxes scattered around our house) and putting all the plans together.

I guess I'll stop here. I need to iron clothes for work tomorrow.
