Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

Have fun camping!

Lisa have you seen that our "friend" has been posting over on the CBR thread. She keeps saying she's staying there. But she also has been posting on the AKL thread, though I think she siad her mom won't pay that much now, AND she's on the All Stars Movies thread, and she says she staying there too! :rotfl2:

If this is the "friend" I think you are talking about, I guess she is "back."

She posts on a couple of other "forums" that I belong to, and on one of them it lists your birthday with your siggy and she is like in her 30's. Very odd.

Yes. She posted her age on the Pop thread about a year or so ago, when people asked her if she was a kid.
I think she is either slow (which there is nothing wrong with that, just an observation) or she has a language barrier(she is from Miami, so maybe she speaks mostly Spanish), or both! I personally think maybe both.
She also mentioned that they hated Pop after they returned because there TV wasn't working and Pop refused to fix or replace it. And they way she explained it almost sounded like her mom couldn't get the point across at what was wrong, so thats one reason I think she speaks another language primarily.

Joining in!!! :yay: I spent a good chunk of today catching up - THANK YOU for the links. :thumbsup2 What a wonderful trip! I laughed at John doing the fake sleeping poses...what a goof!

Have a wonderful time camping. A break from reality is a good thing, I hope it helps you all just let loose and relax a bit and take your mind off it all.:goodvibes

Have a super camping trip. Hope the weather is great for you. And that you win the rock skipping contest!

Have fun camping!!! That will be a good break for you guys. :goodvibes

I hope ya'll had fun camping. I have been several times, and I swear I have tried to like it, but I just can't get into it :sad2:. I'm a scardy cat :scared1:.

I have been thinking about your family; keeping ya'll in my prayers.

That's right....it was $2,500.00. I bought three of 'em! Yeah right:lmao:

Something must have happened with the mail. I have been waiting every day to get the one you bought for me :lmao::rotfl2:.

I hope y'all had a good time in AR! You would've been pretty close to us, but we went Northwest for a friend's wedding this weekend.

How awesome that so many of your pictures got chosen! I haven't clicked on them all yet because I wanted to make sure I caught up on your TR first. :goodvibes

That's a lot of rain again! I can see where your Mama is coming from, not wanting to get out in the rain. Rainy days make me want to stay at home curled up with a cup of coffee.

Lisa, I'm glad you are getting away for the weekend. It does everyone good to just take a break from everything. You continue to be in my prayers.

Thanks Kathy. We needed some time away from everything.

Enjoy your weekend! I haven't been tent camping in probably 15 years!!!

Relax, have fun with your family, and hopefully you'll feel refreshed when you get home.

Thanks so much. We had a great time and it was so good to get away from reality.

You really should go tent camping again. It's so nice to lie back in the tent and hear all the nature around you.

Have a fun weekend!!! You all deserve it!!!!

I appreciate it. We had so much fun.

Ok, I think I did it! Thank-you:worship:

Have a great weekend and enjoy camping with the family.

I have already gone to your link and "Liked" it. I can see why it was one of your favorite pics.

She is all over the Disboards. She's one busy lady. I think there is a language barrier because her English isn't so good.

Jen, I remember her posting about having a broken TV at Pop.

I hope you have a great time camping!

We had a wonderful time in Arkansas. I hope to get some pictures posted soon.

Welcome aboard! Glad that my handy dandy links helped you get all caught up. John is usually really asleep so it was extra funny to see him faking sleep.

It was nice to get away this weekend especially with everything that's been going on around our house.

Have a super camping trip. Hope the weather is great for you. And that you win the rock skipping contest!

The weather is so nice. As a matter of fact, it got a little chilly but it was much better than the hot weather we've been having.

I didn't win the rock skipping contest but I did catch the most fish.

Have fun camping!!! That will be a good break for you guys. :goodvibes

Thanks April! You're in the happiest place on Earth right now and are surely having a great time.

I love love love camping. I've been going for so many years. It's nice to sit back and relax and not worry about the real world.

I appreciate the continued prayers. They are definitely needed.

Something must have happened with the mail. I have been waiting every day to get the one you bought for me :lmao::rotfl2:.

Oh I've still got it in the top of my closet. I'm afraid of mailing it because it's so very fragile.:lmao:

I thought about you when we were in Arkansas. The weather was so nice.

I was excited to see all of my pictures chosen.

Mama does not like going out in the rain but she soon learned that the May and June forecast in Florida always called for rain.

Hi Lisa!! Hope you and your family enjoyed your camping trip! Can't wait to hear all about it!

I'm so excited!!!! Three out of my four pictures were picked for the Disney Memories!!!!! Here are the links!

So, does anyone know what this means exactly? I'm a little confused! Thanks!!

Yay for having your pictures chosen! I know that I have spotted my pictures when they popped up on the Disney Memories site. If someone clicks on the picture, they can "like" it. I'm wondering if they will chose the most popular pictures to use on commercials. But, I'm not really sure.

Now that I've gotten all my replies done and I am caught up with my subscriptions (I think., I thought I'd give you guys an update on the McBride household.

We did get to go camping and it was so nice to get away. The weather was nice and pretty and it got downright chilly in the evenings. I am uploading pictures to Photobucket and will post a mini-trip report.

As you all know, we made bets on who would catch the most fish and who would skip the rocks the furthest. I am happy to report that I caught the most fish.....16 as a matter of fact. I do have to admit that some of them were itty bitty and couldn't even see how I was able to hook 'em they were so small. But, I added those itty bitty ones to my count anyway. Heck, Lacey caught one that was about two inches long and she added it to her count. :lmao:

In true McBride fashion, we had a little drama on the trip. Well, not drama-drama but a little drama. It wasn't funny at the time but it provided us with lots of laughs throughout the weekend. I'll talk about that more a little later.

There were only three places in the entire State park where you could get cell phone service. We went there twice a day to check in with our families.

Unfortunately, my brother-in-law health has continued to deteriorate. He was supposed to come home but couldn't because his blood sugar levels dropped so low they wouldn't even register. They were told that his pancreas is simply dying. His pain is worsening by the hour. He is now "talking out of his head" and is blaming my sister for him having to stay in the hospital. He thinks that she just doesn't want to take care of him even though the doctors and nurses have told him that she simply can't take care of him by herself.

If there is one good thing that has come out of all this is my brother-in-law accepted Jesus Christ about two weeks ago. He's never ever been a person who attended church. John's dad (a retired pastor) went by to check on him and asked him if he wanted him to pray for him. He said yes and that's when he accepted Christ. I am so very happy that he did this.

Sorry, I am not one who usually "preaches" here on the Disboards but I feel so much better for him now.

Okay, so let's get off the sad subject and move back to happier stuff.

We had so much fun together camping that we have decided that we are getting away...somewhere....anywhere....at least once a month. Even if it's just an overnight trip. Life is too short to be stressed out all of the time. So, the McBride vehicle tires will be rolling, rolling, rolling. Just don't know to where yet.:lmao:

Once I get my photobucket pictures organized, I'll post pictures of our camping trip.

Glad you had a good time camping, it's good to get away and I'm sure you guys needed the family time with everything going on.

I'm so sorry about your brother in law. Have they contacted Hospice for him? Sometimes they can transition right to Hospice care right in the hospital and then they just keep the patients comfortable and stop things like IV's (unless for pain meds) and lab draws, tests, etc. They could also see if there is a Hospice Comfort home in the area or a certified Hospice that is in a house or at least not at the hospital where they would be able to care for him in a home like environment and your sister wouldn't have to worry about if she would be able to care for him on her own. I see a lot of Hospice patients in my Job (home care RN) and those places are great for the patients and the families too.

Yay for a fun camping trip. Sorry for the drama. I happy your brother in law came to a place where he accepted the Lord-prayer can be very powerful. We actually just bought some camping stuff ourselves. getting away is important!

Hospice had actually come and set up all the equipment in my sister's home last week. But, when his sugar levels dropped so very low, no ambulance service would agree to transport him. The doctors didn't want to discharge him either.

He has refused to take any more medications except for morphine and one of the meds that has something to do with his brain cancer. They don't have any IVs in any more as that was his wish. Oh, and he agreed to continue the oxygen.

When they found out he had an infection in his chest, they called in a surgeon. The surgeon ran some tests and said that the cancer was growing at such a rapid pace that he felt he would last 2 to 4 weeks. I hope, for everybody's sake, that it is soon. I hate to see him suffer.

I was so happy that my brother-in-law accepted the Lord. It makes us all feel so much better.

Yay for buying camping stuff. Camping has always been so much fun. Some of the camping equipment that I have (utensils, stove, etc.) were passed down to me by my parents.

So sorry about the progression of your brother in law's illness, but very glad you can all know he is resting in the Lord. Hospice may be able to take over his hospital care if you don't have inpatient hospice available. They were so great when my mother died last spring.

On a happier note, glad you got to go camping. It is so beautiful up around Hot Springs. My best friend moved there a year ago and wants me to come visit. I am really looking forward to it.

I think hospice is not an option now. His illness is progressing so quickly that they are afraid to move him anywhere but to another floor in the hospital.

Hot Springs really is a beautiful place. Lake Ouachita State Park is not actually in Hot Springs (it's a little out of town) but we always say Hot Springs because then people know what we are talking about.

You definitely should go see your friend. It's a great place to spend a long weekend.
