Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

Love John's beer belly shot. Although he doesn't have much of a beer belly. You can still see his belt buckle! :confused3

Great updates, Lisa. I'm with you...no way I was getting on the Dizzy Disk--and I'm not even afraid of heights. :rotfl:

Lacey cracks me up with her poses every time I see a new one. And what is with John and "exposing" himself lately. ;)

If the Dizzy Disk hadn't gone up in the air or at least make you feel like you were going in the air, I probably would have ridden it.

Just be glad that I didn't post a picture of John standing on his hands in the pool. His swimming trucks somehow pulled down to expose his booty just as I snapped the picture.:scared1:

After waiting for what seemed like forever for Hunter to get out of the bathroom, we were happy to get moving once again. We were still on our quest to find the zipline.

Along the way, we found a glass shop. They had every animal you could imagine in glass. There was one that we thought was super odd. They had a pig that was blown glass and inside it's tummy was a little bitty pig. Okay so was it supposed to be pregnant? I don't know but the little pig wasn't secured down in any way and when you picked it up, it rolled around. Kind of weird.

Mama found a bird that she liked but it was in bright colors. She asked the shopkeeper if they had a clear one. They did not but they could make one. Mama asked how long it would take and they said about 20 minutes. Mama didn't want to wait that long and said she'd just take the colored one. I told Mama that we could wait if she would rather have the clear one. The lady kept on and on and I was getting a little perturbed even though I knew she was trying to be kind. So, I walked away in order to keep from telling her she was being pushy. You know what she did? She followed me and kind of whispered in my ear that they would do it if we wanted to wait. It was like she thought Mama was senile or something. Again, I knew that she was trying to be helpful but it ticked me off.

Mama interrupted her and told her that she would just take the colored bird. Then, the lady kept trying to tell her she'd sent it to package pickup. Mama told her that was okay. She'd take it with her. The lady kept trying to get her to send the package to the front. Good lordy Ms. Gordy! Can't you just sell the bird and give it to Mama already. Finally, we got Mama's very well wrapped bird and were on our way.

We walked out and I saw John sitting in the rocking chair outside. Bet you can't guess what he was doing. Talking on the phone? Nope! He was doing this:

Yep, he was catching himself a few ZZZZZs.:rotfl:

It's amazing how John can take those little power naps anywhere. Don't I wish I could do that. We continued on and found a big area/shop that sold wooden buggies (you know like the western/pioneer buggies they drove across the prairies) and rocking chairs. They were definitely out of my price range. Some of those buggies were close to $9,000.00!

Here's a picture of Hunter in one of the things we might could have afforded....a rocking chair:

You may be wondering why he has his hands in the air. We hadn't seen not one rollercoaster up and running so far so Hunter was pretending he was on a rollercoaster.:rotfl:

the next thing we found was the eagle sanctuary. For some reason, this section facinated Lacey. She kept putting her quarters in the viewing binoculars so she could get a better look. I took pictures while the kids were looking through the binocular viewing thingie.

I think I remember the sign saying there were 14 eagles in the various enclosures. There were two enclosures that held mating eagles. The other enclosures held the rest of the birds.

Mama and John spied a blacksmith shop and they walked over there while we continued looking at the eagles:

***Well, this was a pretty short update but I am about to head out to lunch. Hopefully, I can post more in a little while. We have appointments this afternoon so I should get some Dis time in.:thumbsup2

John is so much like Ben with the sleeping! I am surprised Ben didn't nod off at Disney when we went. And I am like you, I would love to just fall asleep that easily. Not me, I have to take at least 3 Tylenol PM's before I can even attempt sleep!

Hi Lisa,
I'm so behind on your trip report.....I going back to read...I think I last left off on page 44!! YIKES!!

If she was going to insist on sending it up front, why didn't she offer to have the clear one made and sent up front for your mom rather than saying it would take 20 minutes to make the clear one? :confused3 Does that make sense? Or am I confused because she was so pushy? :confused3

I love your snapshots of John and his power naps. :rotfl:

This scenario would have made much more sense than the one that actually transpired! I'm with Lisa, Good Lordy Ms. Gordy! ;)

Even when I do fall asleep, I dream all night long. I hate that!

It's okay, at least you're still here!:thumbsup2

I know! I couldn't understand why she didn't offer that in the first place. I think what ticked me off the most was her going behind Mama's back and talking to me. She may be 76 years old but she sure isn't senile. She knows what she wants and she wanted that blankety blank bird and she wanted to take it with her.

I'm back from what seems like a very short lunch break. Afternoon appointments haven't started yet but I'll try to get another installment posted.

Just on the other side of the large eagle enclosures was a smaller enclosure with three eagles in it. The sign said that these eagles were unable to care for themselves and wouldn't be released back into the wild. :sad1:

After spending time with the eagles (not the band...although I wish I could 'cause I love the band:laughing:), we walked through a store and out to another little pathway. We stopped in a general store and looked around. They had all sorts of homemade jams and jellies. I remember one of them being called Hillbilly Toe-Jam. :rotfl2: I didn't buy anything in the store because I make my own jams and jellies and none of them involve toe jam.

We were all really thirsty and I found an ice cream stand nearby. John got a vanilla ice cream cone. Lacey got a cup of chocolate ice cream. We also got a large Sprite. None of us really wanted an entire anything so we all shared. Yep, we spread cooties all the way around.:upsidedow

This was right behind us:

SANY4355.jpg

We all wondered if this was really water that came down from the mountains or if they had it piped in. These type of waterways were all over the park.

Mama resting her tired tootsies:

SANY4356.jpg

I thought this fence was really neat. We live in a log house and are talking about putting a fence down the driveway. Thought this would be a cool fence to build. You can also see the ice cream stand in the background:

SANY4357.jpg

Now that we had quenched our thirst and gotten a taste of ice cream, we were ready to get going again. Again, I don't have a park map in front of me but I seem to remember this section having a roller coaster named after something like a tornado. Thus, the mangled metal in the trees:

SANY4358.jpg

Even though we were near the roller coaster's entrance, we didn't see it up and running and no people getting in line.:confused3

Also in this area of the park, there were several games to play. One had electric guitars as prizes. Even though I knew there was no way Hunter would win one, I let him play anyway. You had to toss rings onto bottles. It was cheaper to buy a bucket of rings for $5.00 than to buy just a few. We all tossed rings and none of us got a gosh darn one on the bottles:

SANY4359.jpg

**Up next, will Mama do the zipline? And, exactly how does Hunter get soaked to the bones?

My husband can fall asleep anywhere anytime too. I think he could sleep laying in the middle of an interstate with dynamite going off all around him.

John too! And, with a 13 year old boy in our house, it sometimes sounds like being in the middle of the interestate with dynamite blasting everywhere.:rotfl2:

Me too! It drives me crazy. Ben tells me to lay off the crack.:rotfl2:

And hillbilly toe jam? Uh no thank you, I will pass on that. That sounds really really gross!

I don't know if I have too many things rolling around in my mind or what but I am always always dreaming. :sad2:

I don't remember what fruit the toe jam was made from but just the name made me sit it down quickly.

Yes that is exactly how th Eagles were when we were there. Did you see an inside rollar coaster at all? It was kind of like rock n rollar coaster with a really fast take off. It's actually the first one like that I ever rode.

Great Updates. I love seeing the pics of the Eagles, they are one of my favorite birds.

I can't believe how pushy that lady selling the glass birds was towards mama. Ugh some people.

Wanted to say hi and invite you over to my PTR. I do hope you will make it over!
