Who is your Favorite Trading Spaces Designer

So, who IS your favorite designer- I'm ranking mine by whose tastes are most similar to mine, NOT whose personality I like.

1. Vern- and where the HECK is he this season?
2. Laurie (but she scares me--always on the verge of a freak-out)
3. Doug- now when Doug does a room I like, I LOVE it....too bad he does some scary rooms now and then...and I think he's cute. But a smart alecky punk at times too.
4. Edward- what a charming & classy guy
5. Christie- fun loving gal with classic ideas
6. Frank- I love Frank, I really do, but every so often he does something so crazy, I sit there and go "Fraaannnnkk!!" Like the crazy bedroom with the eyes, nose and lips for a headboard- weird. BUT, no permanent damage like you know who..
7. Genevieve- so much fun to watch, but usually her designs aren't quite my taste.
8. Barry- so far a bit too modern for my tastes, but interesting ideas.
9. Kia- nice gal, but her designs really don't quite come together for me or are just kinda blah
10. Guess who-----Hildi! Sometimes Hildi has fabulous ideas, but then has to take them just that extra step that makes them just hideous to me. She's done a few rooms I could live with, but I don't think I have ever seen an episode she's on where I said "Oh I LOVE that!"

I like Frank and Doug. Vern isn't bad either. Most of them are just too wacky for my tastes but then again so are the guys sometimes.

If I could choose one for my own house it would be Vern. I think most of Frank's rooms come out nice but too country for me. I also like alot of Laurie's rooms. Hildi is just way too over the top. I always feel so sorry for the people who have to live with her rooms.

Vern is number one in my book! I'm sure I'd be fine with anything that Laurie & Frank did for me too. I just haven't had much time to watch it lately.

Vern's my favorite. His rooms are always really beautiful. Frank's clever but just a little too country for my taste.

vern! his rooms are always clean cut, but also traditional, he's excellent at pulling both together, and I like that a lot.

I love Vern's designs, even though my tastes run more tradtional than his more modern designs. He always does an amazing job, really keeping the best interest of the home owners in mind. He finds great deals on pieces that add so much to his rooms, which always look more than $1000. He'd be a lot of fun to work with too.

I miss him this season too!

I usually like Genevieve's designs, although sometimes she goes a little crazy. I love the kitchens she does.

Laurie does some great tradtional rooms, but I'm not huge on yellow, definitely not as much as she does.

Kristie does a great job too - I dont' think I've seen anything by her that I haven't liked.

I like Frank's work, but he's too country for DH. I like his little personal artistic touches that he adds to a room. But the face bedroom scared me too.

Edward's rooms usually scare me while they are doing it, but I am usually pleasantly surprised when it all comes together. (That one bedroom really did look like casket though, no matter what he said)

Doug can do a great room, but he gets too funky for me (the prison of love bedroom?? ) that I would be too scared to let him in my house.

Kia likes wallpaper way too much, and she's too "themey" for me.

Hildi would not be allowed to set foot in my house, and definitely not with any glue guns or liquid glue. Her designs make me mad because she has no regard for the homeowners, their taste or their house. I feel so bad for those people from this weekend with the cardboard walls - she ruined their walls with that liquid glue.

I am SOOOOO hooked on this show.

My list would be very similar to yours. Vern 1 and Laurie 2.

I agree with Julie_yet. Frank is a little too country and paints too much.

But, in my current bedroom, I would let ANY of them do it, it can't get any worse!

Laurie - Her rooms are always classy and beautiful. If I could hire any of them, it would be Laurie.

I think the majority of Edward's designs hit close to what I like. I like Vern too but I don't know if his designs are practical for me bcause he likes such uncluttered spaces. Especially his kitchens. I couldn't live with absolutely nothing on my counter - even a toaster! LOL I do think he always does a pretty room though.

I do like about half of Doug's rooms when he isn't trying to shock people. Laurie has done a few rooms I like but as a whole she is too "retro" for me.

Frank seems like a wonderful person and people almost always like his rooms but his designs hit a little to folk artsy for me.

I haven't liked a single room that Barry or Rick has done yet.

Kia used to qualify as a Kiatastrophe to me but she seems to be getting a little bit better. Still wouldn't want her in my house.

Now Hildi - Hildious. OMG I wouldn't even let this woman design my laundry room! She would probably cover the walls in Tide boxes and then use the Tide to cover the floors and ceilings!

Now that is funny! I was in total shock when I saw her use that glue and card board. And the card board chairs! If it was a kid room maybe the chairs...but a guest room!?!?! No way!

I like Vern, Frank and Laurie. Doug some of the times.

Why do they even let Hildi on the show as a "designer"? I could not believe that she put cardboard on the walls and then she expected the homeowner's mother to sit on cardboard furniture. I guess that's one way to shorten your mother-in-law's visits.

Vern and Frank are my favorites. If we were on it, and Hildi was our designer, I would back out and say forget it! She is over the top and probably doing those stupid designs for ratings only, certainly not to make the homeowner happy.

I like what Laurie does - it's usually very pretty, but it's not very functional. Big white couches in a house that has bigger sloppy dogs??? Not a very good choice.

I've liked most of what Doug has done - his attitude sucks, but he's cute, so he gets away with it.

Most of the others are somewhere in the middle, but Hildi, Rick & Kia had better not show up on my doorstep.

Had to LOL at the idea of a Tide room.

I would love to have Vern do my house. He also seems like a really nice guy. I feel the same way about Frank--he always seems to have such fun with the homeowners. I like Laurie's designs a lot of the time, but what I really love is her hair! I must admit I've got a huge Bad Boy Crush on Doug. If I could have Doug and Ty in my house at the same time, I'd be in HEAVEN!!!

Maybe I'm just weird, but I have to say that Genevieve is my personal favorite. I wouldn't mind if she did my whole house. Doug is my second favorite-- the stuff might be a little wild, but it always comes together great.

Vern and Laurie are always pretty but boring. Edward isn't my style. Frank is a little too country (again, not my style).

If Kia or Hildi showed up on my front porch I'd turn all the lights out and pretend I wasn't home
