I usually book on my own. This time I did request Tracy. She responded promptly enough, but their credit offer was less than 1/2 of the "big box" offer, and it was like she didn't read my requests and tried to upsell me. So, I went with "big box". I don't need much hand holding, though.

Our family (my family and my mom) work with Merrie Thomas. My mom was randomly assigned her a few years ago after submitting a request for quote through the website. My mom said she had done a great job, so this year, when I got fed up with dealing with that big box store that sends you gift cards (warning--they do not forward on any communications they get from Disney that they are supposed to forward to their customers), I booked with Merrie. She's been responsive and I've ended up with just what I wanted.

We love Merrie, she is the best!

I have used Chris Vorobek for all four of my Disney cruises and have been very happy with him. I'll be booking a few trips in a few days and will reach out to Chris once again.

The reason for this is that the "big box" agents are not "travel agents", they are order takers, and do not work on commission. They have probably never been on a Disney ship. The Dreams agents have all sailed on these ships and some know them inside-out. Instead of giving you onboard credit, that you can use on your cruise, they are giving you a gift card that you use in "their" store, so basically, they are giving themselves the money. That credit you are getting from Dreams comes from the agent's commission. If you have an issue, they are not going to help you. Maybe Tracy was offering you an option that would have been a better fit for your family.

Stupid question. I'm using a ta for first time. I'm a silver member and requested a quote for Dec 2025... So I know it can't be booked til Thursday.. .how early before Thurs do would they send the quote? I'm traveling next few days so seeing emails may be difficult.

The quote will be done ON Thurs. & a hold will be placed on a room for you at the same time. You have to pay the deposit within 3 days.

I was lucky enough to be assigned Karen as well, just after COVID, when I started sailing again. She always responds so quickly. She has been awesome with all our cruises since. In fact, she made our reservation on the Treasure this morning on the newly released itineraries!!! Thank you Karen!
