Hi all!

Just wondering, for those of you who used outside photographers, who did you choose and why? Also, who else did you look at? There seem to be a few common ones that are popular on this board, but Orlando has SO many options!

And for those who chose to use Disney Photography, same question!

Personally I'm drawn to The Roots style, but I know there are so many fantastic photographers out there and I'd love to hear some feedback.

Also, include your fave wedding shot if you have it!

I went with Jason Angelini. I had also at some points considered Misty Miotto and the Roots. Jason has a great, fresh style that will be perfect for the Poly Beach that we're using--and he and his wife are just wonderful. The customer service has been great and for the fantastic work he does--he is very economical!! I'm very happy with my choice :)

We also went with Jason Angelini. He was fantastic and I have a more in depth review of him in my TR. I think the choice of an outside photographer truly depends on your style of photography and Jason has a clean and bold approach. He also has a great eye for a wonderful picture.

Here's my sample photo, one of many that I love :goodvibes

We used David and Vicki Arndt. I had looked into the Root and Misty, but after talking with Vicki and seeing their style I knew that their personalities would click really well with ours.

We were very happy with our choice and the outcome - so much so, we're doing baby pictures with them when we go to WDW in May.

For our vow renewal we went with Disney Photography - Stephanie was our photographer. She was awesome - we got some great shots. There should be a link to our photos in my TR which is in my signature block.

We are going with Lori Robison of Cayden Lane Photography for our wedding. She is located in Jacksonville but will travel to Orlando. I love her style of shooting because it is soooooo dreamy! Here is one from our engagement shoot:

There are a lot of photographers who get used over and over again on here...but I'd definitely encourage you to look at other ones in the area! We did that for our videographer (they are not local).

For photography, we went with Studio 222. We took our engagement pictures with them, and it was like hanging out with friends. We have a lot in common with them and I'm excited to have them at our wedding because they are fun people :goodvibes

I used Karla Fountain. She caused me a little stress because no one could reach her the week prior to the wedding, but four years later I am still head over heels for the photos. :lovestruc

I chose her because I liked her photo journalistic style, appreciate her eye, and liked how she post processed. That last one is a big one, as there are many really good photographers but I don't like the look of some post processing techniques they use regularly. I think it really comes down to personal taste more than anything.

We used the great Randy Chapman and I cannot say enough nice things about him!! Again, there is a more detailed review in my TR the link to which, is in my signature. Randy also did our TTD session - photos of which I am yet to post, and he was great fun at both!!!! Too many favourites to post but her are a few from our big day!!

Pick me, pick me!

I am really wanting to do more weddings in the Orlando area, but it is hard to build up a following. If anyone is interested - let me know!!! :goodvibes

But here is my professional opinions:
I have been lucky enough to get to meet with and even shoot alongside a few photographers up there. I actually shot an engagement session with Becka & Nate of Studio 222, and they are awesome, awesome people. Their style is similar to that of the Roots.

Kristen Weaver of Kristen Weaver photography is also super awesome. She has that dreamy, sweet style too.

Misty Miotto is my favorite for posed portraits and low light portraits. She has the most incredible skills when it comes to off camera lighting. Her look is unmistakable.

David and Vicki Arndt are very sweet people, and they are a bit more traditional in their style of photography and very consistent in their work. It's beautiful.

So - it really depends on the style you want. Fun, creative portraits - Studio 222, The Roots, Jason Angelini

Dreamy romantic pics - Kristen Weaver, La Dolce Vita

Traditional - Misty and the Arndts.

KimBe is another one who is pretty new to the area and also super awesome too.

What style category would you say you fit into??

I also used Randy! He was absolutely amazing! Unfortunately I was alone the morning of my wedding, no friends and family were there with me. Randy came in and at first all i was thinking was, "wow, this is going to be awkward." Well that feeling was gone in less then a second. He just came in and took charge and controlled the day in such a great way! We laughed and joked and he made it so comfortable. I felt like we were old friends and that is no lie. He is just great! I could go on and on!

I think photography really is a personal decision and different people are drawn to different styles. So the best advice I have is to look at many photos from the photographers you are considering and get an idea of what you like best.

I had looked mainly at the photographers mentioned on this site since I could see their work and knew that other brides on here had used them. Since we were planning from a distance, it just made me feel more comfortable. But if you are looking at other area photographers try to find reviews online and see pictures from real brides so that you get an idea of the photos from the whole event.

We used the Roots. I absolutely loved the work I saw by them, so it was a pretty easy decision. There are tons of pics in my PJ, and there are so many I love it's hard to pick a favorite, but here's one for you. :goodvibes

I'm using David and Vicki Arndt. I love their style! You have two photographers shooting at the same time so you get different angles and two different styles. I met with them and some of the other popular photographers in our area. Their albums and their work is beautiful! I wouldn't discribe either of them as "traditional". Their albums are mostly photojourjnalism and modern, but I'm sure they will shoot whatever you want.:thumbsup2
