We wanted to see him. To us, he is a rare character to meet. We were happy to meet him at Hollywood Studios last month. (But not many people knew who he is and not many went to take pic with him)

Whenever we have met him at EPCOT, it was a character training thing. We have also met Mary with two penguin together at Characterpalooza. That was in 2012 in the animation building.
