Suzy-- you made some very valid points.
I was talking to DH last night... and this is what we came up with.
First off, say once he picks the girl, and then what.. does he tell her? What will there reaction be? Will they be upset that he lied? or will they be.. thats ok, I like you for who you are...
Frankly, my husband, has had problem with gold digger girlfriends in the past.... his family (note I said family) not himself, would be I guess what you would consider well off. He took a long time telling me where he lived.. (his family lives in a well to do neighborhood, in very big, nice house). He was younger than, and not out on his own...
Imagine the shock I had when I drove into his neighborhood for the first time...

I definetely wasn't in my rural town anymore!
By no means was he a $50 million dollar person, but it was still shocking, and I never knew anything about it! He was real, and grounded.
We have definetely had our "for richer, for poorer" moments in our marriage. (More on the poorer than richer!)
Anyway, on to the show... I do feel the diversity was represented. It was all types of beauty... in many different ways. I appreciated Evans comment on how his dad said to him.. how he likes to see girls without makeup... to see who they are.
Yes, all different races were represented.. and that was great to see. How many TV shows actually represent more than one race at a time? or maybe a "token" person of particular race... that is one thing that bugs me so much with TV... and that token person is jsut characterized so badly..
And actually in TV/entertainment business' eyes, there were some "bigger" girls. You had Heidi the stick (perfect size four if I have ever seen one!), and Zora who well wasn't. My body type is more like Zora, so to me thats an average / normal size versus the skinny sticks that you see in most prime time shows. Unfortunately, I would be considered normal for regular world, but too big/fat for TV. (Which is good, because I'm not on TV! I like who I am!)
