After last weeks save, John Stevens has to go tonight regardless of his preformance. Lets go George Huff!!

No way! Time for Camile, JPL or Jennifer to go!

I was just telling DH I don't even care anymore. How John Stevens wasn't in the bottom 3 after he was so terrible....it doesn't matter how people sing, its just a popularity contest. I hope John S is gone...he doesn't deserve to be there. Along with Diana and Jennifer...I hope JPL and Jasmine and George do GREAT!!!

I don't think he will, though, to many fans.

I'm betting that unless Jennifer "pull out all the stops" tonight, she'll be the next one out.

I hope Camille goes soon! I don't think she can sing.

Go George! :)

I can't wait to watch tonight or to see who "goes" tomorrow night!

Unless Jennifer does an incredible turnaround tonight, I'd be happy to see her go next.

In all fairness, based on performance alone, it should be Camile, then JPL and John S..but we all know how "fair" American Idol is!

But I'm a doofus, 'cause I keep watching anyway! ;)

Am I the only one rooting for Jennifer because of her Disney Cruise line connection?
I was so let down last week when Camille and John Stevens were not in the bottom 3--it has become an obvious popularity contest where people vote for their favorites regardless of how much they stink up the place. Unless someone who is really bad gets voted off this week I the show has lost all credibility for me. And so far my bottom 3 are Camille, Jasmine and John Stevens.

About the 'popularity contest' part of American Idol, I must admit I was happy that John S was not voted off but I know he should have been due to his abysmal performance. Don't they work with a voice coach all week prior to the show? Someone should have warned him that song was not for him.....it just makes you wonder......

I think the biggest problem last week was that some of these performers have never worked with a live band. There does not seem to be an earpiece and I don't see any monitors on the stage that project the singer's voice back to them. So unless you are a singer who yells above the band, you cannot hear yourself and have no idea if you are off tune. If you noticed last week, the quiet singers did not do a good job with being in tune, but the yellers were fine. Many singers don't have experience singing with a band.

Hopefully this week, without a live band, the quiet singers will be able to hear themselves and will give better performances.

gotta say I agree with most of you that the boy was really
bad. Even my DS, age 8 was confused about why he wasn't
booted. DS still thinks people make fair choices-boy is he in
for a rude awakening!! We'll be watching and if JS doesn't
perform tonight.....well....the show needs a new format for
voting.

I heard its an Elton John theme tonite too....not sure what that will mean for some of them.

Nope. DD (11) votes for her every week. We THINK we saw her on one of our cruises but since we didn't know we should have been paying attention, we can only guess. Does anyone know the time period that she was on DCL? Was it the Wonder or Magic?

I would rather watch William Hung sing than Jennifer ANYDAY--Actually, I would rather watch William Hung sing rather than most of them.

Really hoping Diana D. wins it all--cute, young, powerful voice, vibrant, etc...

Don't you wish there were numbers to call to place NEGATIVE VOTES that would subtract from their vote total!! Now--That would make things interesting.

John Jennifer or Camille it doesn't bother me either way as long as one of them goes home
sick of all three of them

I don't care who goes as long as it is NOT John Stevens!! I really hope that Diana and George go soon, especially Diana though, because she really bugs me.

I know that Jennifer was on the Wonder last summer when we were--she was one of the Muses in Hercules and also sang in the Lion King portion of Disney Dreams.
I LOVE the negative vote idea! Wishful thinking though.

Negative votes is a very BAD idea! If they used this system of voting, all the Ruben fans would have voted Clay and all the Clay fans would have voted Ruben last year, to get the tough competition out of the way. I wouldn't have cared how bad all the rest of the people were, I along with many other people would have definitely voted to get Ruben off, because I knew he was one of the favorites to win and I really wanted to see Clay become the American Idol. Then Clay and Ruben would have been gone very early in the competition and we would have been left with someone who wasn't very good. And anyway, isn't it more important to see who's the most popular with the viewers? The one who is the most popular will get the record company the most money, and that's what they want!

I agree that the negative voting is a bad idea. Rub & Clay would have been voted off early on. This season, Fantasia would have already been gone.

What I would like, is a limit of, say, 5 votes from each phone. I don't think the AI producers would ever do that though. Then they couldn't say we got 38 million votes last night, thus vastly inflating the number of viewers......
