Who is ready for a trip report?

Unfortunately due to the cold we stayed in all day. Mallory was not happy about that. I did run but not till lunch time. It was not bad one layer of tights but definitely not warm. since it had been a scheduled day off that was canceled I was lucky with only one afternoon meeting. That meant I could take the nugget for walk before dinner.

Dinner was at Capa at The Four Seasons. Honestly loved it. We only did tapas but I was completely full when we left. Also had a cocktail and bottle of wine. Spent less than CA Grille but barely but loved it. We have been a couple of times but it’s been I guess 3 years since the last visit.

We had olives and almonds to start. Then pulpo (octopus) and a salad, then pork belly, fried cauliflower and bread. Favorite was cauliflower followed by pork belly then pulpo. All of it was delicious.

got back and walked Mallory. Then watched the fireworks on cable because my cable works again.

last on the list was a cookie for dessert, went with the coffee, chocolate, toffee cookie. Definitely not my favorite. I do think we will get more cookies but I will be pickier. I w buy again the coffee cake and cookies and cream. Probably the pistachio as well. Two more to try.

plan is to work tomorrow. I have a boat load of meetings since I was planning to be off today and yesterday. Will need to run at lunch though. Weather will warm up tomorrow but not at 7 am.

Yep the one rain it held up. We do have more rain this coming week but if the blue tape can hold up we are good for now. Still has to be fixed and pretty sure that is not something we can do but I could youtube it and see.

Sorry about the weather. I'm looking at 36.7 right now. We covered the fruit trees last night because they forecast the possibility of frost. Stay warm!

I don’t have much to report today. It was cold in the morning so ran at lunch. Had a boat load of meetings but got outside with Mallory around 2 pm. Dinner tonight was salad and hot dogs over the campfire. Needed the campfire to stay warm but could handle It. Tomorrow we are off and the weather is supposed to be beautiful. Plan is to run, bert will make brunch (pancakes and bacon) then grocery store and that is about it. Will cook something for dinner.

did eat the peanut butter cookie and again that one we enjoyed. We would buy it again. One left to taste but not expecting it to be life changing. Probably hit springs over the weekend for donuts and then again next week. Sort of need to replan a bit since tomorrow is not shutdown day

So happy Mallory will stay at "The Fort" another week! Keep telling us what is going on. Hope work will be slow so you can have more fun.

Awesome you could stay longer!!! We are still working on April camping plans, but a week at the beach then the week at disney so far for summer has the kids happy.

It’s Friday and the weather is beautiful. Did wait a little to run so it would be nice. Started at 9:30 and it was 60 sunny and a breeze. Shorts and a long sleeve shirt. We have showered and Bert is making breakfast pancakes and bacon.



Mallory is loving being outside. Oh and it was glorious I slept till 7:20

We went to Walmart, Publix and pet co. Did not get everything needed. No new mantles for the lantern and no dog food for Mallory. Pet co did not have my science diet large breed old dog version. Hoping we can make it the week or will go out again.

Dinner was salmon and broccoli



Then took Mallory for a walk, not sure if you can see all the deer that crossed the street.



We headed up to tri circle d. Mallory likes to look at the horses and spoke with a CM. Might try and sneak Mallory in the barn tomorrow.

Still nice so sitting outside. Decided on s’mores for dessert. Probably going to hike tomorrow.

Those deer are not social distancing or wearing masks. Are the deer trying to recreate the Beatles album cover ??

We hiked again today and yes back at Lake Louisa. It is close but we did cover a completely different section of trail.

Wild orange trees. They seemed wild.

Got home, took Mallory out, brought lunch outside and it started to rain. It all went back in but was a short small rain burst so back outside now. It’s cloudy and more rain expected in an hour so trying to hang outside so Mallory gets here outside time.

Yes. We’re leaving NOLA Thursday morning, spending the night in Tallahassee, and arriving at the fort late morning (in theory) on Friday.

I have met @WeLovePluto and DW in person, and @garneska too (and her DH for that matter) and both couples carry the @bama_ed Seal of Approval.

I LOVE it when DISMeets happen ESPECIALLY at the Fort (even when I'm stuck at home).

Make sure to pet Mallory a lot, Pluto. She loves the attention.

Avoided most of the evening rain. Managed to eat dinner outside and get Mallory for a walk. Had my last cookie for dessert. It was the triple chocolate tasted more like a candy bar than a cookie. Then off to bed. The early morning storms did nit miss us. Had some roll through at 2 am. In her old age mallory has taken to be frightened of thunderstorms and that is much much worse in the rv. I was up with her. Then back to bed around 3:15. I could not sleep till about 4:30. Knew the next cell was going to hit around 6:30. It was 6:45. It was pretty strong so I laid with Mallory some more. It’s 7:30 now and she has quieted down as the bad rain has moved off. Should rain till about 9 then clear out.

probably won’t run today. My opportunity to run is between now and 9 am. Rain so skipping. We are going to head out to petsmart in kissimmEE before heading to brunch. Trying something new. Plancha at the four season golf course.
