Okay, I have never claimed to be a domestic goddess, but I think I will soon have a permanent "L" (as my DD says Loser) on my forhead :rolleyes1
My DD was at a friends house and they pulled out an iron and she didn't know what it was (my fault, right). Okay, I don't know who was more embarassed, me or her friends mom! Alright, I do know...it was me!

My theory is someone has to help keep Dry Clean USA in business and I am happy to help! :) However, my DH has offered to buy one, strictly for educational purposes! :rotfl:

Please tell me someone out there is as pathetic as me!!! :teeth:

Well, my daughter is only 2 but I'm fairly certain she'll grow up to believe that an iron is something Mum uses for quilting and nothing else.
That is quite funny though. Hopefully she'll find a great guy out there somewhere who is very domestically minded. My best friend in highschool and I got our first apartment together and she didn't even know how to cook ground beef!!! She swore she'd marry a chef and sure enough, she met a guy who was a chef and she married him!!

:rotfl2: It really is something you will laugh about...later...

And , I really don't think you should take blame. You are just a good shopper, and know how to read the labels...NO IRONING REQUIRED... :teeth:

LOL!
I must say.. my kids know what one is..but they know mom doesn't use it unless it's an emergency!! Like DH has a major meeting and he just has to have the shirt that won't come unwrinkled through a quick tumble in the dryer!!

Me and an iron are like oil and water.. they don't work well together! LOL

my DD would have said HEY YOU HAVE A DOORSTOPPER ALSO .

It's neet that they put them in the resort rooms as well.

My mother swears that she must not have taught me what one was, since I don't use it! :lmao: However, I just tell her that I was smart enough to marry a DH who wants to do all of the laundry! See, if that's what your DD learns, that is far more educational than what an iron is! :rotfl2:

LOL!
My kids know what it is, but I don't think they have ever seen me use it! :rotfl2:
Reminds me of the time DD (6) asked me what an ice cube tray was for! She has only ever known the ice dispenser kind of fridge! :rotfl:

My kids know what one is ONLY because of seeing my Mom use hers

mine also falls into the door stop catergory
so dont' feel bad :)

Nice it got my 1st Tag from the Tag fairy :lmao:

Maybe the TF could change it to either ( His ,DD,or DW uses ___ iron as a doorstop).I get enough confusion on here as it is.

Can I get a little help here. :rotfl2:

OMG was that fast THANK YOU TF.

Gender Challenged, are we??? ;) :teeth: :rotfl:

Congrats on the tags! :cool1: :cool1:

ok, so THIS is where all the iron tags came from... :rotfl2:

I saw the title about being pathetic, and thought maybe it was about begging for tags (which I just did in the other thread, :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: )

But about the iron....doesn't anyone else use the "hang the clothes in the bathroom and run the shower til the wrinkles come out" method???? :teeth: :confused3 :teeth: :confused3

No, I don't! I am starting a movement for:
"The Acceptance of Wearing Wrinkled Clothes"
I truly don't see what's wrong with it, it's just a different look!

LOL! Hmmm....well, maybe with the $$ I could save on the water bill, I could spend more on scrapping stuff. :rotfl:

And Nancy....tell your hubby you're too busy swapping to iron!!!!

Lwedyan1,

I was thinking about you today as I rehung the curtains in the bathroom. And sprayed them with DOWNEY WRINKLE REDUCER... :rotfl2: ... and still my iron doesn't see the light of day :lmao:

I could just see the conversation...
Honey, on a balancing scale of swapping vs ironing... SWAPPING wins by a landslide!!! Sorry, wrinkled you must go!!
