I really can't wait to see Up! Trying to figure it out for this weekend. Would love to go tonight, but I have to work. Also working Saturday, but only til 3pm, Sunday is my dad's birthday, so I guess we'll be going Saturday night. Can't wait!

We're going to the first showing on Saturday!
I very rarely go to the movies anymore, and there's only two I'm going to see this year: Up and the Michal Mann movie (name escapes me at the moment).
The rest I just wait until I can see at home, but I never ever miss a Pixar movie!

I saw WALL-E opening weekend because I promised to take one of my friend's daughter. I will probably see it but I do find it a bit annoying that it costs $10 to see a movie now. Oh, and I will not be seeing it in digital 3-d.

The thing that irritates me about the 3-D is, if you already have the glasses, why can't you pay the regular price? I have glasses from Bolt, who needs a new pair for every 3D movie? We will probably do the 3D version of Up! though, but it's going to be our last.

Pixar? Yes!
3D? Yes!
I am there! :yay:

Matinees before 6:00pm - $10.00! :scared1:

I am still going :goodvibes

I will probably be taking my girls to see it this weekend - I think I am looking forward to it more than they are! We'll probably skip the 3D version though - we saw Monsters vs. Aliens in 3D and my 5 year old didn't like wearing the glasses, so didn't get the full experience. I didn't think the $2 upcharge was worth it for me either. It was cool.....but unnecessary.

Looking forward to UP!

I am taking my boys on Sunday morning. We wont' get 3D because we would have to go into downtown New Orleans to do that.

I bought the tickets online for the 10:10 show on Sunday morning because it is under $5 for each of us. My boys have invited my mom. We are looking forward to it.

Enjoy everyone!

It's aready $10 to see a regular movie at the local theater, so I can't imagine what it will cost to see it in 3D. Still. I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!

Pixar is full of geniuses, I swear. They can do no wrong, well, except for Cars. It was Doc Hollywood, for crying out loud! Still this movie looks to be fantastic.

In some countries it isn't coming out 'till October..... :headache:

*grumbles about the American film industry*

I'm planning on going tomorrow sometime! Making hubby take me for my birthday! He's a Disney lover too, so no hardship on the poor boy!

Hope you all enjoy it if you get to go!

saw it today...it was AMAZING!! :woohoo: $12 for 3D in our area, but so worth it.

...and yes...i was laughing hysterically when they introduced "Kevin" :happytv:

The review in our paper said it is "gentle" 3D...whatever that means, so now I'm wondering if it's worth the extra $15 it will be for us to see it in 3D? Anyone know what they mean? Were there alot of 3D effects?

We just got back from seeing it. What a lovely story. You'll laugh, you'll cry.

This movie would be a wonderful way to bring back the Adventurer's Club. I can really see that working. It wouldn't be the same as the old one, but it might be fun.

We saw the movie at our small theater. We weren't offered glasses and I didn't ask for them, but it was still beautiful all the same.

i think it's "gentle" in that there's nothing popping out at you, like you'd see at Mickey's Philharmagic or the like. It's more like, you see that the movie is on the screen, but instead of things coming out at you, you can see "beyond" the screen. Does that make sense? At first it's a little weird, but after about 10 minutes it's totally normal...considering we see life in 3D anyway! :3dglasses Interesting trying to eat with them on though...

i think it's worth it for 3D - but i won't see movies in the theater unless it's 3D or IMAX. It's just not worth my money at all unless i can get an experience i can't at home, for me.

That's BRILLIANT! i didn't even think of that!! That would be a wonderful update, methinks.

Actually, i'm kind of surprised none of the AC characters got a shoutout...unless they did and i missed it, i'm not really schooled enough to have caught it. Ya think they would have thrown in "An Adventurere's Life is Best!" or something like that though!

It probably wasn't presented in 3D then; they are showing it without the 3D even at theaters that have the technology and are running it that way. Trust me - you would have noticed if it was supposed to be and you didn't have the glasses on!! It's not that freaky red-blue anymore but it's definitely funky looking without the shades. :cool2:

This is the one movie I can't figure out what it's supposed to be about or what the story line is. OK I get that it's called up but what else?
I think we will see Night at the Museum and wait for more reviews or the DVD.

The boy in the movie is a member of the Wilderness Explorers. I can also see the possibilities of a Fort Wilderness/Wilderness Lodge tie-in. That would be cool too.

I saw Night at the Museum yesterday. It was pretty good. Not as good as the first one, but I enjoyed it. I love that whole "things come to life when no one is looking" thing, like Toy Story.

Both my newspapers gave Up! a great review and Rotten Tomatoes (my favorite movie review site) critics are also giving it great reviews, 97% "fresh" tomatoes over rotten tomatoes there.

DO NOT WAIT!!! Just go see it before you know anything else! When I went to see it all I knew was that their is an old man in it, and a house with lots of balloons, and a boy in a cub scoutish uniform! If you love Disney you will not be disappointed, heck if you hate Disney, which I doubt you do, you still wouldn't be disappointed! Just go see it, before you find out too much popcorn::

Totally agree! Go see it before you know too much.

I just got home from Up! LOVED it!!! Saw it in 3D ... SO worth it! :thumbsup2

Went with my sister, 2 nieces and my nephew, everyone wants to see it again.
The whole audience clapped when it was over.
