Who is going in February????

Back at the World Feb 12 - 20th (roughly). Just got the school calendar yesterday. It's wonderful that winter break falls during value season (at least starts in).

Here's to hoping for good AP rates and a warm February. :sunny:

I checked a link for Daytona and there are races on 2/5 & 2/6 as well as 2/12 & 2/13. Do ya'll think that those races will have any effect on room availability at WDW? How far is Daytona from WDW? Still hoping for some major pixie dust and early release of discount codes... come on AP codes!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: We are going!!! We will be arriving Jan 31 - Feb 5...and we are going for the first time to the AKL and for the very first time:jumping1: the AKL Concierge!!! :hyper: :hyper:

My father is treating my DBF and myself for our birthdays!! :bday: :cake:

I'm so excited!!! So, we get to celebrater my parents wedding anniversary in Oct, and our birthday in Feb!!!

Everyone else going, hope we all have a great time!!!!

Chris

P.S. After this trip, can I call myself a Deluxe snob??? :snooty:
JUST KIDDING!!!!:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Mardi Gras fell at the end of February 2004 (peak season vs. value season), so I'm not sure a crowd comparison would be fair. We did notice heavier crowds when we arrived, but I attributed that to it being the end of President's Week. As the week progressed, the crowd definitely lessened.

There were, however, LOTS of people from So. Louisiana! We were very easily recognized because everyone had their brand new LSU NATIONAL CHAMPS football tees! We were constantly asked if anyone was left at home.

Did we do or see anything special to celebrate? Nah - but there were several folks from home who brought along Mardi Gras beads to share.

Oh ok, yeah I can see how it wouldn't work to compare those time frames... I just hope for low crowds. :)

I'm hoping my DH will agree and if so Feb 26 - Mar 5 at Ft. Wilderness camping. We've never done this before so hopefully it will be OK!

I laughed when I read your post. I'm in the same situation. We were just there in June ('04) but, if I can get DW to agree, we'll be back Feb. 5-9, probably at PC. She wants new carpet, so I've got to come up with a new source of $$$ for WDW, LOL! Actually, I've already saved about 35% of what I need, so I think I can do it. DW's had a rough week at work, so I need to wait until the right moment to tell her, ;) . A good selling point is that we would be there on her birthday! Don't get me wrong, she loves WDW almost as much as I do. I just have to show her we CAN afford it. Wish me luck!!!

What airlines are most of ya'll flying in Feb? I am waiting, not so patiently for Southwest to post schedules for Feb.

Going Feb 7 - 12 staying at ASMovies or POP. Just waiting for CAA and VISA special up here in Canada. Suppose to come out end of Sept or Oct. February weather can be up and down. This is just from reading this board. Last year we were in pants for the morning and shorts in the afternoon. When the sun did come out is was HOT:sunny: .

We usually fly Delta...but they are tooooo expensive right now so am also waiting for Southwest. They are the only 2 airlines that fly non-stop from Connecticut. I can't handle changes w 4 kids ( 7, 5, 2, 1)...sometimes 6 if we bring my step kids (12, 10) usually everyother trip!!

We'll be driving....15 hours from here in Maryland FUN! :p We're planning to do it all in one day too...we must be NUTS. We just don't want to blow $100 on a crummy motel.... We may chicken out though as our trips gets closer. LOL

We actually drive an hour to New Orleans so we can have a short direct flight. I don't know how much Disney magic I would be feeling after a long road trip with my girls (and if you add in all the extra family and friends?) We have been very lucky in the past with great prices on Southwest, I hope that luck holds!

Count me in...WL with my 6yo..( she will be 7 in February ) for our annual trip!

Haven't decided on first or second week yet

I will be in Orlando from 22nd Jan but will be staying on site 1-5 February at AKL.

I can't wait!!!
