Just found out my daughter"s dance school was invited to dance at Disney in August. I believe we will be there from the 4th to ?, as I told my sister if were paying for the airfare might as well stretch it out to a week or so. The only problem is we are going in November for 10 days so I think I need to start working some OT! I think it will be a wonderful memory for the girls!!!
Oh...and How I do "LOVE" the Rain in Florida! Here in Cali...we never get any. So, when we are in Orlando...STORMS are like an ATTRACTION to us~! YES!!! We'll be there in August! Actually, we'll be there from JUNE...to the middle of August (You know, we spend the ENTIRE summer there! LOL). See you all in the MAGIC.
we'll be going to WL 8/16-8/21, then off to port canaveral for 3-day cruise. hoping rates come down. if not, i have been trying to convince my wife to stay at VWL on rented points. for some reason, she thinks they are different resorts!
I've been there in August for the past three years, and it's rained every afternoon--often lasting more than a cloudburst, well into the evening, and usually during the week there is at least one day that's a complete wash out from rain.
I don't mind the rain, but am very respectful of the thunder that usually comes with it. Welcome to Florida, the Lightning Capital of the World.
Originally posted by mkymouse4ever Going in August! Only 148 days from today! Not that we are counting. August 6th > 23rd. Plan to stay at Beach Club Villas 1 bedroom then 2nites in the middle at Portofino Bay (usf) & return to disney to the Contempary tower! But if we don't get some decent ap rates or codes this could change? Did get a great rate at PBH 50% off the entertainment rate! Universal came out early with their discount's! Thank you! See you all there, MKY
We'll be there 8/24 - 8/30 at CR. First trip on-site, and we can't wait! Heat, humidity and rain...no problem. It really can't be much worse than New Orleans at that time of year!!
We'll be there from the 10th thru the 13th to our first DVC visit at OKW. Then we move onto PBH at Universal, which I am even MORE excited about. After that, we drive to HHI for some r and r. AFter reading all these posts about rain, though, I'm getting a little worried!
Pray for rain in August it's the only thing that cools it down. We have been there in august when there is no rain and it's still 90 degrees at 9 o'clock at night.
