lol, I guess I found this thread late! We're going August 14-15, then staying in San Diego, then going back to DL the 22-24. I'm so excited! Our last trip was summer 2008. We did basically that same split trip thing, except we went to Laguna Niguel instead of San Diego. I start my freshman year of college a few days after we get back to NY, so it's kind of like a last hoorah. My family goes to either WDW or DL every year, so whenever the next trip seems to be coming up soon it's pretty much the only thing on my mind!

We will be there Aug 25-26. Anyone know what kind of crowds we are looking at? Haven't done DLR in 18 years except when I snuck up for the night in December when working nearby. DS9 has never been but has been to WDW 13 or 14 times (I lost count) and I've let him know to expect different here.

Also - since we are going on weeknights in late August, should we expect to get to see Fantasmic and/or WOC? Seems they don't post hours until it gets really close.

One more question - will we need an ADR for Goofy's kitchen for breakfast?

Looking forward to reading more in this thread!

I would guess it will be busy as ap blackouts are done and WOC I am sure will be packed but as noone knows for sure how its gonna work quite yet we changed our dates so i am expecting some heavy crowds but we have been many many times and we have 5 days we will just take it easy and if we see WOC great if not oh well we did watch the video on youtube so I can be happy with that for now and we have seen fantasmic many many times so if we miss it no biggie, I think we are gonna take it slow and play it by ear.... we have been in busy busy times before so if you go expecting massive crowds it will prepare you for it and if the crowds end up being smaller well then woo hooo!
For us just being in DL is enough!!!
and then after DL its off to Vegas for 2 or 3 days.....

Oh and I would say yes for sure to a ressie for GK as it is high season and goofy's can get packed!!

Never used the bus so I don't know if it will be running early enough to make it to the TTMM or not. The map on the website is too confusing ...

We were there in early Aug 2006, and the crowds were not bad at all (weekday). Hope it's the same this year.
