Welcome to all new posters. I am trying to liven up our place of posting come on everyone let us share our excitement for our upcoming trip!!

Is anyone going to decorate thier windows? I am thinking about it now. I think the boys may like to do something like that. Maybe? I am going to head down to dollar tree to see what I can find.

I'm decorating our window. I think I'll make some signs on the computer with my dis name. LGMHs of course. I'm not sure what else I'll come up with. Can't wait!

Ok, first off you are not a dork. We all were new to the boards at one time. So don't even think you are a dork.

I really do not know what I will put in my window. But, since the Disboards color scheme is lime green. I will incorporate that color somehow. I am thinking tape up some Lime green mickey heads. Of course the things need to be able to be easily removed from the window. Since Shhhq, made a mention of the different colored mickey head chips she got from Home Depot. I thought. I could put some of those up, maybe jazzed up with glitter with a Dis sign of some sort, and some other little things my boys will like. Something hanging. I have not really planned out all I will put. But, I really think I will do it.

OK being a newbie dork.....why do you decorate your windows and with what?

I saw awesome window decorating at the POP in 2005 when I stayed there. Doors and windows were decorated with invitation to Cinderella's Royal Table and Princess stuff and even saw a board on a door full of Green MM paint chips for Disboard signing - well had to be...

My little girl is too old for this but last year my brothers family joined us for a few days (my niece is 7) and we had made the mickey tiedye shirts for everyone, and we planned a princess lunch in Norway with the princesses so we made a beautiful royal invitation for her and put that and other disney stuff in a basket for her when they checked in. I put scotch tape and she decorated her window with the invitation and some of her own creations. They got alot of extra attention from other guests walking by and the tshirts (thanks to the disboards) were a BIG HIT! People were stopping us in line and asking where we got them. My son said if we said they were giving them out free at the front gate, we could have cleared the line for Everest! hehe. Evil thoughts.

Anyway, I have seen simple tinkerbell themes with pixie dust, and princess themes, and even saw Halloween decorations go up with lights and pumpkins in September.

We are planning on making our own pirate shirts and even thought of doing a pirate theme in our window this year. You do it to whatever works with your family or party. And I liked the board made of green mickey paint chips with a pen for other dis'ers to check in and comment. So if you are in POR over labor day weekend - and you see a pirate window and a board on the door to write a comment - leave my family an ARGH!

Mrsnj91. There are some floating around. I tried looking for you. But, I did not get any clear pics. I think I will bring some festive string lights. I am pretty sure. I will put something to do with Pirates. Since, my 2 boys are going with me. My youngest, is a big pirate fan. He goes around the house daily Singing "Yo ho Yo ho a pirates life for me".

I really want it to look nice.

Welcome all new August trippers!

MikeyA, wow now that is a vacation!!! I would be in heaven, if I could stay all those days!! I will try to convince my husband to stay 14 nights next year, even though I know in reality he will not go for that .Especially, with a pre 5 night stay, at Universal' RPR. But hey, I can always wish!!
