Welcome aboard! At this time, I'd like to ask everybody to please remain seated throughout the ride, and keep your hands and arms within the vehicle at all times. Also, for the safety of our cast, and the comfort of those around you, please no flash photography or use of external video lights. Alright, now that we've taken care of business, let's talk about me. My name is Allie, and I'll be your guide during this magical journey into the movi-wait, no, that's not right! We're not journeying into the movies! WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY!
*cue the hallelujah choir*
My love affair with Disney began when I was a wee lass--just shy of three years in 1998 if you want to get technical. Back then, our Disney trips (which occurred 4-6 times a year, despite living just outside of DC) consisted of driving down in our old car from 1980, staying off property in those hotels by Downtown Disney for about five days, and wandering 'round the parks till we saw a character--with the occasional ride thrown in. Then I grew older, we had to get a new car, and my parents had more money to spend. So, our trips (now 2-3 times a year) evolved right along with us. We stayed on property (always at Coronado Springs) for a week and a half. We flew. We rode more rides than anyone thought possible in a day. Then, I grew older. I couldn't keep skipping school for Disney. So, plans were adjusted. Trip dates were changed (Spring Break, Summer, Winter Break). DVC purchases were made (Boardwalk Villas
). And now, here we are (admittedly, I may have skipped a few details...or years...).
I do hope you'll hop on board! This trip is going to be fun (much more fun than a journey into the movies) and I'd love to share it with you

Bonjour! I'm Allie, though you probably know me as DisGirlAllie. I'm an avid listener of music, an aspiring future Emergency Med. Physician Assistant (let's just survive the rest of my senior year of high school before we think about graduate school, k?), a slightly snarky corrector of grammar, a lover of dance, a distruster of birds, and a Maple Leaf Forever.

The jerk gloating about getting Jamba Juice would be my dad, John (you may know him as DisneyRefugee, I call him father but I will resort to Daddy if I need something). He's a computer programmer, an enthusiastically open Disney fan (he's called 'The Disney King' at work), an indecisive planner (drives me, the planning queen, NUTS), a consumer of Diet Coke, and a slightly terrifying driver (we once had a minivan for a rental car when we were at Disney...scary times).

She's a substitute teacher (often in my mother's first grade classroom, people always find this fact so amusing), a drinker of tea, a native of St. Louis, a hater of driving (especially in Northern Virginia, it can be pretty scary around here), and a Disney newbie (but we've trained her well).
