OK, I am NOT letting my SIL near my child. Mike just spoke to his mother. His sister did get married to a guy she has known TWO WEEKS (this is not the guy we originally thought she married). Her friend did a background check on this guy and he is a convicted rapist (he raped his ex wife).
She had told my MIL that she was going to Fort Meyers, but that was a lie and she ran off to Vegas. She did call my MIL and apologized for lying and said she had gotten married.
WTH is wrong with people??? I just can't wrap my mind around how someone could do this.
On another note, my MIL told Mike that she thinks we should move. She said whenever we give her the OK, she will be up here with a Uhaul. I am REALLY thinking it might be best to just move.
lyzziesmom...I meant to comment the other day about the attitude issues with my 10 year old. It does sound very familiar to what you described. It's like he's constantly trying to be in a "bad" mood. I even noticed on our trip he would ask to do something that he really didn't want to do...and then be irritated if we said no or have to follow through with something he really didn't want to do. Does that make sense? I wish I could figure out a way to get him to stop.![]()
Well - it's a weird situation. I still have all the stuff I restored up on my photo site, and I have all the files HERE at work. But.... I don't have a CD burner, and emailing them all to myself will be a PIA. I have them all up on myphotoalbum dot com but I don't have the FILES on my home computer. So, I have this big box of old photos that were my mother's - most of which my dad took. (he didn't 'take' them... he shot the pictures) Many of these he does not have, as my mother took them and the negatives when they divorced back in the 70's. DH knew I wanted to archive them all digitally and restore them so he got me a nifty scanner for Christmas. I'm just working through them, scanning, restoring and filing. I still haven't heard from that site about my deleted photo book and I sent them another email yesterday.DznyFan...well, I guess it's good you weren't cooking. With the music and a nice cozy couch you might have fallen alseep. Are you having to completely redo your picutres?

I am so mad right now!!!
The teacher just emailed me about the meeting. It was determined that it needs to go up against another group to make a determination to go ahead with the testing.

I am trying to calm myself so I will have enough control when I go up to school in a bit to speak with the principal. I cannot believe this BS! My child doesn't want to go to school because she feels dumb and embarrassed because she cannot complete her work as fast as the other kids. Their problem is she is smart, right at grade level for everything else she just can't cannot write and communicate at the same rate as her peers.

Britt did that and it started around 10, just when puberty starts really kicking in. Now she's just mopey and moody, and so are all her friends. It is a blast to have them all together here when they are all PMSing!Hopefully it's different for boys. I'm very afraid because
Lesa...I'm so sorry. That is exactly how the schools are here. I hope they can get moving for Maddie's sake and she is very lucky to have a mom like you to make sure she doesn't slip through the cracks. Hopefully you will hear back from the private speech therapist for a place to start. My DS had some gross and fine motor skill issues in kindergarten and we had a PT send some recommendations to the school and they were completely ignored. Luckily, with age and strength he has overcome these issues but I truely feel for you and Maddie.
Ugh, my mom just called to tell me that the dr's office never called her back and she wants to take Emma to Urgent Care. We have been spending way too much time there lately, this will be her 3rd visit in a month! Mom is running an errand for my brother first (of course) and then I'm going to meet them there. At this rate I'm going to use up all my PTO before the end of first quarter!!
I just hope Emma is ok.
Nope. My eyes are pretty much emerald color. It is the ONE thing that most people comment on my appearance.pozey: Oops, sorry. I guess because Courtney's big brown eyes are so pretty, I thought she must have gotten them from you.
Emma is sick again - tummy stuff this time. My mom is waiting on a call back from the dr. to see if we should take her in or go to urgent care. Last night it took Emma over 4 hours to "go" - and that was after taking her Miralax. This morning, she had the opposite problem and without getting too gross here, I'll just say it was definitely not normal color or consistency, and not related to anything she ate. Her regular pediatrician just kind of blows it off and says to give her water or Miralax, but it's been probably over a year since the child has had a normal bowel movement and I think she needs some sort of tests done to make sure everything is working properly. My mom is doing the calling (but I will take off from work if she needs to go to urgent care) and I asked her to be sure to mention that is a chronic problem and to push for some tests. I hope it's nothing serious, but I just feel so bad for the poor kid. She should not have to be in so much pain whenever she has to go - she was crying and screaming most of the evening yesterday.![]()
