And my shortbread came out very good. I had one piece and feel like I ate a stick of butter, but nevertheless it's very tasty. It was a mix from Target, their Archer Farms brand. Quick and easy!

Hi pozey! I wish I would have had a better background for the pictures, but we were on our way out the door and it was dark outside. Maybe on Halloween before Trick or Treating I can do a little better... but of course I won't be dressed up then! My stupid job doesn't allow us to have any actual FUN on holidays.

I'm attempting to make some chicken and rice for myself for dinner. I'm a horrible cook and even making rice is a pretty big accomplishment -- sad, I know. The chicken is precooked and even then I think I burned it heating it up, it doesn't smell too good. I must be having some sort of hormone surge -- cooking AND baking in one day?! Next thing you know I'll be cleaning the toilet before it gets visibly dirty!!

We went to the Air Show today. Saw the Blue Angels.

That was pretty cool.

Sounds like fun! We didn't do much today, got some stuff done around the house and the kids played in the backyard. We were going to see Nightmare Before Xmas in 3D but the kids were way too crabby after staying out late last night.

The kids were out back and Lyzzie came running in the house screaming that Emma fell off the swingset and landed on her face. I ran out there and sure enough, there was Emma lying spread-eagled on the ground, face down and bawling her eyes out. She had a faceful of dirt but once I cleaned her up she was fine and couldn't wait to get back out there and try again. I just love her can-do attitude!

Evening all!

Well, our alarm clock automatically reset itself in the middle of the night. So Chris and I get up and get ready for church. Go into the kitchen to put the girls away and I look at the clock...only to realize it was 11:30, not 10:30. So much for church! We still drove over and went to lunch with my parents though. Then we ran some errands and came home, where I got into a procrastination mood where I didn't want to work on midterm grades and decided to tackle the nightmare that is my kitchen. We seriously just need to cough up the money for a cleaning lady because neither of us has the time to actually keep our house clean at all.

Now Chris is asking for the computer so I guess I better cave.
