VENT! Skip if you want to!
I have had a personal training membership that was quite unhappy with. I never had time to go, and when I did go the trainers were young and kind of stupid (for instance, did you know that the way to lose weight is to "drink protein shakes" thats it, no more, no dietary advice, no work out advise, just that.) I tried to cancel in April and the guy told me that if I cancelled I would lose all my unused sessions, so I decided to hold off in hopes that I would find some time. In September I went in and spoke to a different manager, who told me that since I had paid for the sessions they were mine, whether I cancelled or not. So I sent in a letter, be certified mail I might ad, cancelling the darn membership even though I had close to 30 unused sessions. I mailed them the letter on September 27th, and it was recieved on September 28th. I JUST got a letter from them stating that my last billing was September 28th, and I had until December 12th to use my unused sessions. The letter is dated October 18th, was mailed on October 23rd, and we recieved it yesterday, October 26th. Why did it take them a month to get this letter to me? A month of time I could have been using these darn sessions? They didn't even mail it the day they freaking wrote it! And it is NOT what the manager at our gym told me! In my letter I included a phone number and email address for them to contact me, and they didn't at all, just took their sweet time sending this darn letter! I am sooooooo mad! How am I supposed to fit in 30 sessions in a little over a month?
Grrrr.....sorry guys.
