It is too bad we will miss you in WDW! But we are hoping to make this an annual thing so start thinking about next year. ;) No hubby's or kiddos though. :rolleyes1

Nope, none of the above. Not by my choice though. Would love all but I think my luck has run out in that department. :confused3 :teeth: :guilty: :lmao:
Very emotional about this, can you tell. or maybe PMS.

Aw, I am sorry. But don't say that. Your luck hasn't run out. Just follow the advice in your siggie and keep on believing. :wizard: Things will all work out the way they are supposed to when the time is right. You'll see. :grouphug:

There is a Great Wolf Lodge in town. You could stay there. :thumbsup2 (not WDW, I know. :goodvibes )

There is one of these in my town, and I thought it might be a fun thing to do with the kids... UNTIL I looked at the prices! For what it would cost us to spend 2 nights at the Great Wolf Lodge, we can spend a WEEK at WDW!!! :scared1:

:worship: Deer hunting season is sacred in MI. It's crazy. No one in my family were hunters so I didn't know what I was getting in for. DH had to be in Atlanta for work last year and missed opening day for the first time in 30 years. You would have thought there was a death in the family the way he carried on. :confused3

I used to work in the front office of a manufacturing company. It was nuts, if 2 women asked for the same day off at Christmas to get things done without their kids the bosses would act like it was the end of the world but half the shop was gone for opening week and that was fine.

Mackinaw Island is beautiful but with all of the horses, it has a certain odor, if you get my drift  It is expensive. We have never stayed on the island. One year we rented a cottage in the UP, and one year we stayed in Pellston. I would love to stay on the island, it would be very romantic in the evening after all of the day-trippers went home.

:guilty: :guilty: Thanks Momma--is there a sulking smilie kicking a rock??
Why do I suddenly feel like Charlie Brown's sister?? ok, must be PMS.

P.S. I just looked at your profile and I am older than you be a few years. :teeth: I'm ok with that--you happily married w/ 4kids woman you. ;)

Good night all. Sleep tight and NO nightmares!

Really?? I never looked into it. We did go there once to walk around and they have a viewing area of the water park. Had I known how expensive it is, I could have told the kids to pay closer attention as that would be the closest they are getting to it with those prices!!! :lmao:

I thought the same thing... there's one not too far from us in the Poconos.. I couldn't believe how much they were asking!!!

Yeah, no walks in the woods for me that time of year. Of course that's implying I would ever walk in the woods, which ain't happening. :teeth:

Some of the schools close around here for opening day. Priorities, I guess. :confused3

I do recall the odor of the island. What surprised me more was the fact that there are people that live there year round and in the winter it is so isolated! I'd go nuts. Like that crazy dude in the "Shining". :rotfl2:

Anyway, good night.

Well, on a weekend the GWL here in Kansas City will run ya approximately $400 a night x2 nights = $800.

1 week (7 days, 6 nights) at a WDW value during value season@ $79/night (w/free dining!) = $474.

DUH!! Hence our upcoming 10-day stay in September!

night all

must go pay some bills now

P.S. Lyzziesmom--I feel the need to try the Beverly now because of you dd's face. That good, huh??

Well, I do have twins so I could share. :confused3 ;) Of course they aren't identical so maybe that wouldn't work.

And anyways age doesn't matter. It's very hip to be an older mom/wife. Don't give up yet. :) But you can kick all the rocks you want in the mean time. We won't mind.

Even better: that was actually her 2nd sip of it, & she had somewhat become used to the taste by then!

BTW, I work with a woman who recently got married & had her first baby... she is 42. And my grandma has a son, my uncle, who is only 3 years older than me. So don't give up hope!! Also, in my opinion, being a single mom is great. Yes it's hard, but I don't have an adult "child" (aka DH) to take care of as well as the kids, and the best part is... I get to make ALL the rules! So don't rule it out, with the right mindset it can be fanfreakintastic.

Good morning all!

So how many people saw POTC2 last night? DH took Monday off work so we are going to take the kids to the matinee then. It will be cheaper and I figure much less crowded. Was it worth the wait and all the hype?

Good Morning, everyone.

We saw POTC2. I loved it. I won't give anything away, but I will say it was worth the wait and I am eagerly looking forward to the next one.

DH and I saw Superman last weekend, and we were betting on which movie would be the blockbuster of the summer. Definitely POTC2!

DH and I are taking my little brother to see POTC2 in a few minutes. I am really hoping it isn't too crowded.

Gooood Mornin' non-cliquers,

Did everyone sleep well??? Everyone bright-eyed and smilie this a.m.?? :teeth: Oh, this is so sweet it is even making me sick. Blah :p

Lyzziesmom----Excellent point, my dear, I have never thought of it this way. No running back to dad saying "but mom said". Yes, good point. And thanks for the spirit-lifting on the age thing. I know I should not give up hope. :)

Where is everyone?? Out enjoying their Saturday already, huh??

I am going to see POTC2 this afternoon so I'd best get some things done this morning.

Good day to all!!!!!!!!!!! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

P.S. I just stumbled across a computer function that I never knew existed. If you scroll down passed the "submit reply" and "additional options" there is a topic review showing several of the latest posts. Crazy. Did you all know this and was not telling me?? :teeth: Imagine that. :smooth:

Hi everyone.

I'm going to go see POTC2 Monday afternoon. I hope it wont be too crowded that is why I'm avoiding it this weekend.
