Hey 2xcited. :wave2:

I also wanted to say something about your cousin, but I can never find the right words. He is very fortunate that he has a caring cousin like you! I hope everything works out for him. My great grandma died in September and its been hard on the whole family, so I can relate. I hope everything works out for him!

Hey Mishell! Thanks for your kind post. We are the "not in the clique, chicks (and 1 guy)!" And your little one makes me smile everytime I see the picture! Just adorable.

Thanks Ash--
Yes, we are fortunate to have such a close family so I am sure all will be okay. thanks for your thoughts.

Not in the clique, clique chicks!! LOVE it! I had a Hallelujah moment where I thought that would be a great little name for us to all put in our siggies, but then I remembered we have a M-A-N in our midst. He might not want to be part of the Not-Clique-Chicks.

What are you chicks doing up so late?? Go to sleep!

Ashley, moving is the best way for me to get rid of stuff! I am a bit of a packrat, everything seems to have sentimental value. Then when I actually have to pack it all up, and think of UNpacking it all... suddenly I get the urge to just pitch it all & start over, memories be damned!

2xcited, thanks for the boat, she's lovely. And that driver... mmm, I'm hoping it's Captain Jack! Maybe he can chase the spiders away while he's here. Never mind... I can think of a few better things to keep him busy. :rotfl: Aaaargh!!

Lyzziesmom-

Umm, yeah, I thought we discussed this in previous posts that CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow - aka Johnny D. is MINE. and he's-snot for sharin'. so, take your little boat that I offered up and re-name your captain. haha :teeth:

oh, and to prove that I am not as mean as I sound above-- :confused3 -- sorry about your continuous critter dilema. HOOTY HOOT

I must go to sleep now or I am going to be pushing people off of the facial beds tomorrow--"move over, it's my turn"

Night all.

Anyone have a lullaby they would like to sing??

Hmmm, the one I like to sing to my kids goes something like this. Ahem!

"Hush little baby, don't you cry.
Or Mommy's gonna poke you in the eye.

Hush little sweetie, don't say a word.
Today you have been such a little turd.

Hush little darling, don't you fear.
But a spider might crawl into your ear."

Ok I just added that last verse in homage to ... well... one of you here. Sorry I can't think of who at the moment. :listen: It may have been Ashley, becuase the ear guy smiley is not in the popup.

And for the record - this lullaby makes my kiddies laugh hysterically every time.

And here's another verse just for you, 2xcited:

"Hush little girly, I'll be right back.
I'm off to play with Captain Jack!" pirate:

Thanks for the lovely song, Lyzziesmom. :rotfl:

Goodnight 2xcited, Goodnight Lyzziesmom! I think we are the last ones here. Talk to you guys tomorrow! :) :wave2:

Good morning!

2xcited- I will keep your cousin in my thoughts. It's great he has a cousin like you.

I like the not in the clique, clique chicks! Plus one guy!

Greetings and salutations, cliqueless cliquechicks (and cliquedude).

Ashley - I loved the story about your aunt, by the way!

April - You're doing exactly what I need to do, but I seem to be lacking the necessary motivation. My house currently looks somewhat like a tornado passed through.

Michele - I certainly can understand your concern about your DH! I hope he doesn't get razzed too much - I guess I don't understand why they would give you a bad time about it - you're just concerned! Sorry your trip was so-so, your BIL sounds like a lovely piece of work. My sister used to be married to a freak, and was for 20 years, and she just never 'got' it. Nobody could tell her that he was a freak, because she just didn't believe it. He was (and still is) very manipulative. Her current is better, but he's ex-career military, and can be kind of an @** sometimes.

Lyzziesmom - I bet you're READY to get out of that apartment! Flood and packing pixiedust: for you! Pink bathroom or not! I guess a pink bathroom beats a flooded laundry room.

2xcited - your cousin will definitely be in prayers. :grouphug: What's going on with him is sad - I really hope things work out for him, and there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

So glad your DD made it home safely. I am sure you love having her back. Does she do mission trips often??
Our church sends our youth, who have finished their sophomore through senior years in high school, on a week long mission trip every summer. This was her first one, but it just fits her personality. She really likes helping people. She approached our youth pastor a while back about being a 'peer counselor'. She's the person everyone goes to when they need help. I guess it's because she's been through some rough patches herself throughout her life, and she can relate. Her "fall-back" plan for college/career if musical theatre doesn't work out is counseling - psychiatry.
She really enjoyed this mission trip, despite the mosquitoes, black widows, sweat and lack of decent lodging. She described it as being "life changing". The photos of the devastation were incredible - even as much as a year later - the area they were in isn't even remotely close to being what it once was. When they drove back to New Orleans to fly back, she went past a Popeye's chicken that we went to during a trip down there about 3 years ago - she said it was closed, and "sort of" still there. She was describing going by things she'd seen before, and seeing them destroyed or damaged. She said the people there are so thankful and appreciative of the rebuilding effort and the help. Sounded like a very humbling experience for these kids. I will try to gather and post some photos.

Morning, Linda, Pozey, Nicole, Amber and anybody else I've missed.... :wave2: Hi, Mad4Mickey, welcome!
Happy Monday! (I have to go to work now...I'll be back.)

Hello Everyone!

I have several pages of reading to catch up on.

An update: DH fixed our electricity (kind of). He changed one light switch and that fixed it. However, when we turned on the laundry room light, the power went back off. He is going to replace that switch and see if it works (we just keep that light off). Right now, everything is working (knock on wood) except I had to do laundry in the dark.

DH brought up the topic of kids this weekend. We were in agreement that we didn't think we wanted them, but now the idea is growing on me/us. My mom has been asking me for years when I would have one (mind you I just turned 25) so she would be thrilled if I even hinted that we are considering it. Any advice?

OK, I am off to get caught up on all of you!!

I have tons of catching up as well but had to say... Amber...kids... I can't imagine my life w/o my son!!! I have always loved kids..but having your own children is so different. Of coarse b/c you can't spoil them and drop them back off to their parents;)... My son truly melts my heart. The things they say and do are so adorable. It does help that he's so sweet and sensitive...he loves to cuddle... it is truly an incredible feeling. Watching them learn and grow. Watching their face on Christmas morning...it truly is priceless  I can see why some people may not want children themselves, maybe due to their lifestyle and not having the adequate amount of time to raise a child in a loving home or something...or want the freedom to go anywhere anytime... there are all kinds of people in the world and it isn't for everyone...but I can tell you it is truly a blessing having your own child. It would be a tough decision and it isn't easy those first few years...but to me it is soooo worth it!!! As you can see... my ds and I are very close. The grandparents can have a big part of the joy in their lives as well...my ds does absolutly no wrong according to my mom... and my sister...they just adore him to death...but then again so do I!!! Good luck w/one of the hardest decisions of your life :)!! We're here for you. Ok, I've got to get reading and catch up from the weekend...

Amber- How long have you and DH been together? If you feel ready then go ahead! I have no kids so I can't offer you much advice. Sorry.

My problem is marriage! Me and DBF have been together 5 years and still no ring in sight! We're both still young, I'm 23 and he's 25. Everyone keeps asking us constantly about it, and I can tell it gets to him. I guess the main thing is money, unfortunately we both still live at home :( I guess we have alot of things we need to get in order before we get engaged.

Nicole,

We've been together just over 8 years, married 3. We actually got married on our 5 year anniversary. We haved lived together practically the entire time we've been together (I moved out when I was 17).

I have no idea if we are ready or not. I just turned 25 and DH will be 28 in November. It's scary to me. I think I can handle raising a child, but to actually HAVE one :guilty: Anyone want to volunteer??

I think it's a good thing to date for awhile before getting married (my mom dated my stepdad for 8 years before getting married). I also recommend living with them before marriage. No matter how well you know someone, it is different living with them.
