It's been a quiet Saturday, hasn't it? Hope you all had a great day! Nathan and I got the tree decorated while Gary put up some lights and decorations outside.
We ran to the video store a little later this evening and decided to run to Walmart to look at the Christmas decorations, but didn't find anything. I have three wooden cutouts that are Mickey, Bambi with Thumper and Flower. I really just want a small outdoor floodlight to highlight those; I think that would look pretty neat.

Today is my mom's birthday. We will be giving her a calendar we made on shutterfly with pictures of the kids on each month. I know she'll love it, because she loves calendars and she loves pictures, but hates to clutter her house with framed photos and usually just keeps up one photo of each kid and swaps them out with new ones. I, on the other hand, just keep adding more photos because I love to see how they've grown.

Now that I think about it, a digital photo frame would probably be a good gift for her. I personally think they are kind of stupid. I mean, if you take digital pictures you probably have a computer, right? And you can use free programs to display your pictures as a screen saver. Voila! A digital picture frame! That's how I enjoy my pictures. But my mom would probably really like one since her computer is way in the back guest room and rarely seen.

Drat, I wish I'd thought of that before Black Friday! Maybe there will be some good deals online tomorrow. Where do you find out about Cyber Monday deals? I wouldn't even know where to start looking.

We are also having our Thanksgiving today. I've been trying not to eat or let the kids eat much so we'll be hungry when we go. I also wore my nice loose pants! Oh and Donna, I'm not showing that breakfast to Lyzzie because then she will insist I make her some crepes immediately!

we got home around 2:30. I drove because DH had to work at 4. then I took a nap(not long enough!) our turkey was so good! we deep fried one too! my friend seasoned it with cajun spices. she injected cajun marinade too. then we ate outside by candlelight, and had a big bonfire after. it was great! yesterday our friends came over to our place and we watched the gator game and hung out. a great trip, too quick! enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Shannon...that sounds like a lot of fun! My kids would have loved the big bonfire. We had several fires this weekend in our fireplace.

My day was pretty lazy...with the exception of church. I had a nice long nap this afternoon! I got to see my brother today as he was traveling through on his way back to Kentucky. He didn't spend Thanksgiving with us this year...a dear friend had passed away in Texas and he went to visit with her family (she was old).

Hey, there's nothing wrong with buying candles! I love to burn a good smelling candle (I espeically like the cookie and vanilla)! Are you going to give them as gifts or just burn them yourself?

Nicole, I went to Yankee Candle yesterday and thought of you! I got an electric tart warmer and a couple tarts- my new favorite is Vanilla & Lime, I'm burning it right now! (Of course my favorite changes all the time )

Ruby ate a Christmas tree light tonight. Of course I'm freaking out but the vet doesn't seem too worried. They told us to induce vomiting but Ruby REFUSES to throw up even after several tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide (per vet's orders.) We just have to watch her now.

Jeepers!! My internet was down earlier....thank goodness is ok now!!

Nathan has had an ear ache; that probably stems from this cold he has been fighting. He's not going to school today and I plan on taking him to the doctor later.
