Lyzmom~ your itinerary looks wonderful!! I'm tired, yes; and hungry!

Linda - I was thinking about you this morning - wondering how your work-from-home situation was going. :wave2: Glad to see you check in!

Pr. Pix--I bet it feels like afternoon to you by now. You make me sleepy, girl.
I do believe there are fruit carts around WDW---but if you're anything like me who wants to eat fruit while in WDW---maybe with a funnel cake or crepe under it.
You're my kind of girl!
Let's consider this: Apple? Mickey Bar.
Apple? Mickey bar. hmmmmmm.
give me chocolate.

Amber~ what exactly is Red, Hot & Blue? meat? mmmm... I love meat. I could never be a vegetarian.

Here's the link to Red, Hot, and Blue: http://www.redhotandblue.com
It is basically BBQ and it is SO good. If you have ever eaten at a Sonny's or Woody's it's the same.

lyzziesmom, your plans look great (well, except for the US/IOA. tsk, tsk) Please tell us about the Segway tour. I was just telling Mike about it and we may do it on our next trip.

Well since you asked... here's my itinerary:

Friday: arrive, go to DTD, take Lyzzie to DisneyQuest while the parents nap with Emma or go to the pool. Go to the campfire & movie at FtW, eat at Everything POP.

Saturday: MK day, dinner at CP

Sunday: Epcot day #1, dinner at Marrakesh

Monday (Labor Day): this is our "off" day, no parks. Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, afternoon at Blizzard Beach (probably just me & Lyzzie while the folks take Emma to the pool/nap) and Hoop-de-Doo in the evening.

Tuesday: AK day #1, dinner at Boma

Wed: MGM day, see Johnny & the Sprites, dinner at Sci-Fi

Thurs: rent a car and go to US/IOA. Breakfast at Cinnabon on CityWalk. Yummy!

Friday: AK day #2, possibly head back to another park in the pm if we feel like it. Dinner at WCC, followed by viewing electrical water parade at the WL beach

Saturday: Epcot day #2, Segway tour in the am. Dinner at Alfredo's.

Sunday: Check-out day. Possibly back to DisneyQuest or mini-golf, then head back home.

Whew! Are you all tired yet? I am!!

I like your itinerary. You'll have to tell me about dinner at WWC and CP. I will be eating at both places on my trip! And like Amber said- Tsk Tsk on Universal and IOA!!! :teeth:

Just daydreaming about going to Disney World.....

Hi everyone!! :sunny:

I'm so glad its Friday.

Last night Jeremiah & I went to the mall so we could "walk" (so he thought) and we went to this store Hecht's. I dont know if you all have Hecht's where you live, its just a department store like Macy's. (I didn't know what Hecht's was until I moved to Virgina, they dont have them in Florida.) Well- Macy's is apparently buying out Hecht's so there was a huuuuuge sale.

I got a 'nicer' shirt to wear at Le Cellier for our first dinner (I know you don't have to wear 'nicer' clothes, I just think its fun to dress up!) and it was really cheap, like marked down from $50 to $19.99. I went on their website so I could try to find it to show you guys, but it wasn't there. :badpc: Then I was looking at the guys clothes, DRAGGING Jeremiah kicking & screaming because he hates to clothes shop, and I found these Polo jean shorts marked down from $65 to $13.99!! Can't beat that! Never fear, though, you will all see these clothes in my pictures anyway. :teeth:

Amber- I've only tried Red, Hot & Blue once and didn't like it that much. I went in there craving Sonny's and I was disappointed. I grew up down the street from Sonny's, and I always crave their sweet BBQ sauce! Maybe I'll try RH&B again. I am craving BBQ now. When DH & I drove up from FL to VA a couple weeks ago, we were driving on I-95 and saw the resturants sign with Sonny's at the next exit and I made him stop. I was sooo happy that this one had a drive-thru, since we had Ruby. It was soooo yummy!!!

Lyzziesmom: I was doing the same thing you were, except last night I was saying "Next month at this time, we'll be at the Magic Kingdom..." :rotfl: Your itenirary looks great! You are gonna have such a good time.

Pozey: Courtney is so adorable!!! I know I've already said that 10 million times, but I just had to say it again!!

Pozey... oh my! Your Courteney is TOO CUTE!! I just want to hug her!

I know I know, everybody's tsking me about US/IOA. Let me just explain that we are going for FREE. I took Lyzzie there this spring and broke my arm on their property, and they comped me 5 tickets, so since we will be in Orlando anyway.... well you get the idea.

Lyzziesmom:

I think IOA is fun! I love the Spiderman ride. I love the theming too. DH loves rollercoasters, so I think we will go there one time. We were thinking of taking a short trip to Orlando and staying at the Royal Pacific. We went there when we lived in Florida and DH loooved that hotel, it is so beautiful! It was nice of them to give you the free tickets, even though thats not very good circumstances, to break your arm on vacation! Were you ok?

I would really like to go down on Thursday, go to Universal & IOA on Friday & Saturday, and come home Sunday. SOunds like fun!! But DH says I would
never be able to go to Orlando and NOT go to Disney... ;) I told him I would if I knew that there was a future WDW trip planned!! :sunny: Also, its great because they allow pets, so we could take Ruby!! :dog:

Ashley, congrats on the clothing! I love a discount. You must try RH&B again. We went to the Winchester, VA one last night, but I have been to the Williamsburg and Frederick, MD (since closed) and they ahve all been really good. Maybe it was just an off night when you went?

lyzziesmom, you can't turn down something that's free, so I'll give you a pass this one time. (plus, I do want to try it at some point, but I can't seem to tear myself away from Disney).

pozey, she is just adorable!

I was just looking at my signature photo of Lyzzie drinking the Beverly and I have a funny little story to tell you. First of all, see how she's holding two cups? That's because she didn't trust me when I told her it was really good (smart girl!) so she had to have one that she liked at the ready. Yesterday we drove by a street called Beverly, and Lyzzie mentioned Beverly the drink. (Beverly is also the name of the head honcho at work, so I find that hilarious!) She kept talking about how bad it was, how it was so sour, it tasted rotten, it was just so pukaliciously awful! I asked her, "So are you going to try it again on this trip?" and she yelled...

"YES!!"

Lyzziesmom:

That is so hailrious! :rotfl: I'm going to try it for the first time on my trip! My personal favorite is the one from Israel. :) I hope they never close that down, it is a "cool" store!!

Amber,
I think I'm going to try RH&B this weekend! What did you get again? I remember I got ribs and wasnt enthralled, but DH loved them. Maybe I could get some BBQ pulled pork or chicken. They have baked potatoes? Do they have sour cream, cheese etc. or just butter?

Ashley, I love the Spiderman ride too. Last time I think we rode it about 6 times, broken arm and all! If you do go, watch out for those moving sidewalks in the parking garage. Do NOT turn sideways on them, especially on your first day. Trust me. Also, do NOT believe the in-house medical guy when he looks at you and says, "it looks ok to me, don't let it slow you down." This is how you will end up in the ER at 2am. Trust me.

The good news is, I recovered quickly (about 3 weeks) and still enjoyed the trip as much as possible. And hey, I did get those free tickets, which we are very much looking forward to using.

Ashley, Mike and I got the ribs and "other meat" platter (you can choose from several meats). You can get ribs a few different ways (wet, dry, or sweet). They have 4 BBQ sauces on the table too.

They do have baked potatoes (HUGE, Mike had it with butter and sour cream. I'm not sure if you can get cheese), okra, potato salad (I had this and it was SO SO GOOD), fried, baked beans, etc.

lyzziesmom, Lyzzie is a riot! I also hated Beverly, but have every intention of trying it again too. :teeth:

Pozey- Courtney is too cute!

Lyzziesmom- Okay you have our permission to go to Universal! ;)

Ashley- Yea on the good deal! 33 days for me!!! :cool1:

Nicole,
Only 28 days for me! I really wish we could get together. :guilty: We all need to plan a big meet!! That would be awesome.

Amber: Ok, you convinced me. I think I'm going to try it again tonight!

Lyzziesmom:
I always thought those moving side walks they have at Universal were weird. :confused3 It reminds me of the airport! I'm glad it didn't affect your trip too much though. Did you have to get a cast on your arm?

Actually at the end of a long day those moving sidewalks can be a godsend... just be sure to pay attention to when they end! They are not clearly marked and do not have an audio announcement that they are ending.

I didn't get a cast - the ER in Orlando put me in a hard splint and a sling and told me to follow up with the ortho once I got home for my cast. By the time I got home, it had already begun to heal and was soon good as new. I'll never hear the end of it from my coworkers, though! Especially now that I'm going on another vacation, I think at least 30 people have told me, "Don't break anything!"

Amber, I plan on trying Beverly again too! What is it about stuff that's SO bad, you just have to have it again? It's like you forget how bad it really is, and you think, Nah... it couldn't have been THAT bad. Yup, it was. I also plan to add my parents to my collection of Beverly Face photos. :rolleyes1

Lyzziesmom...You poor thing to break your arm on vacation :sad2: We have never been to the Universal Parks. We have gone a few times to Citywalk, to go to Margaritaville. :thumbsup2

We didn't get to try the Beverly when we were there. All of them were out of order. I don't know if that means they are taking it out or what. One other one wasn't working at all the stations too but I don't remember which one it was.

Matt had his MRI yesterday and had it read this morning. Doc says that nothing is showing up, he thinks it is a bone bruise and the swelling is what is keeping his leg from straightening completely. He told him he could put weight on it when he felt good enough to. He can't go back to practice for at least a week. He has another appt next Friday for a recheck. Thanks for all of the PD, I'm sure it helped.

Last night was miserable for him. They had their first game and he had to stand on the sidelines and not play. He said it made his leg hurt even worse. He wanted to be out there so bad. Especially since they won

(not so subtle way of posting more pictures of Courtney, huh? :rotfl: )

I've said it before and I'll say it again... Pozey, that is one gorgeous little girl you've got there.

This is one of Lyzzie that I have framed on my wall, but the framed one is in black & white:
