I have Maddie home with me this morning. I have to take her to have some tests for her asthma done. Thank goodness for GPS because this office is in IL territory I have yet to explore. I guess it will take about 45 min. depending on traffic.

Well, it is officially “official”……….DW is going to New Orleans June 3rd through June 8th.

Are any of my cliqueless pals familiar with the New Orleans area? She will be staying (and working) pretty much downtown. Or so it seems from looking at the map.


She still hasn't received word about her possible trip to Buffalo yet.

Pozey - I've been to New Orleans once, and was NOT impressed. We stayed in the Garden district (beautiful old homes) and spent one day and one morning in the French Quarter - ewwww...... It was smelly and full of seedy types. But the food is awesome! Give me Chicago or NYC any day over NO - no offense to any NO lovers out there! I would only say - don't go anywhere at night by yourself - especially down in the FQ.

Does anyone on the DIS really annoy you (you don't have to give names). I am so sick of one person in particular; they are driving me batty. I know I could put them on ignore, but I just wish they would stop acting like they do. I wish I could tell them exactly what I think, but then I'd be banned.

OK, now I have that out of my system.

My garden statues came yesterday. They are very cute. I was planning on doing more in the yard this evening, but it's suppose to rain. I guess it will have to wait. Mike has a friend that does landscaping and he gave us a bunch of organic herbs and veggies.

pozey: I order short stacks when we go to IHOP. I'm not sure about anywhere else, but there it means you just want 1/2 an order. I like pancakes, but I can't eat more than 2 so a full order is wasted on me!

Amber: sorry to hear of your annoyance problem. There are a lot of DISers who could potentially annoy me, but I generally just try to view it as entertainment and laugh at the ignorant people (to myself of course). Of course, for each annoying poster, there are many nice ones so I try not to let it get to me too much.

Lesa: Good luck with the testing. I wish I had GPS - I get lost so easily! I got a little turned around directing my boss to the Olive Garden yesterday, and I go there every month or two! I felt like such an idiot, but I usually come from a different direction so I got a little turned around.

I mentioned to my dad this morning that I will probably take Lyzzie to Worlds of Fun this weekend so she can try the roller coasters, and he wants to come with us! I think he's lonely and bored without my mom home this week. It's so funny because their usually immaculate house is now home to several fast-food wrappers, assorted clutter and dirty laundry. You can definitely tell Mom's away!! I told Dad he can come with us if he wants, but I had to warn him that we make a day of it, we don't just hit the rides and get out of there. We like to wander around, shop, play midway games, watch shows, and generally just do whatever we feel like at the moment. He said he'll have to rethink it!! We'll have to wait and see! Hopefully the weather will cooperate - you never know around here.

However, if that $39 Ding comes along.... NO!! I still have to pay for my last trip... and the next one!! I think I have a problem, where is the nearest Disney Anonymous group I could join?

yes, of coarse! I agree w/Nicole on that area plus there are some cliques that gang up on others that I don't like to see that...but I just blow it off and come here where the nice disers are I could tell a few how it is too, but it just isn't worth it, and they wouldn't care or listen anyway Yay for your statues coming they are really cute!

Amber, It's funny, I used to get SO annoyed with some people on the community board and some other threads I read. For some reason I would resist using the ignore option, but since I put said people on ignore, my Dis experience is much better and less frusterating. Now I have a bunch of people on there, its great (thumb!) Glad your statues came! I love getting mail!!!

Lyzziesmom, I am feeling the Disney itch really bad!!! September just doesn't seem to be coming quick enough for me...Jeremiah is just like your dad when I go out of town I come home to stuff everywhere.

This weekend we went and purchased a new comforter cover, curtains/curtain rod, and a bedskirt for the bedroom!! We rearranged all the furniture so it looks totally different. I wanted a duvet/comforter cover just because I love my down comforter and didn't want to get rid of it...but since it's pure white I'm alittle paranoid about stuff getting on it So to keep it nice I just got the cover and everyone is happy!!! I'm really enjoying it, except the down blanket inside the duvet keeps bunching up Anybody know how to fix that??

When we were in the store purchasing the stuff (we went to Bed Bath & Beyond) I got some throw pillows, but when we got home I realized it didn't really match I returned them and also got a coupon so I had my receipt re-adjusted and got some money back

I have some close-up pics of the duvet, I'll have to post it. It's a really pretty design.

The only problem I have is our cat Lily is very curious about the new stuff and now screams all day and night to get in the bedroom!! She has been waking me up NON stop, but she isn't allowed in there!!!! She's driving me nuts.
