Hey Linda...boy...here we are....NOT going to WDW and NOT shopping at the Disney store with everything on sale.:guilty:  Where's the pouty smilie?;)

I still have ressies for 12-16 to 12-22. That is at WL for 6 nights with dining. I'm thinking about changing to 12-18 to 12-25...that's seven nights. We might downgrade to a value? I need to hurry up and decide because my PS window for 12-16 starts on 6-19. What to do? I would love to stay until Christmas day and have lunch at the LTT. We could take an evening flight out of Orlando. Another possibility is to stay longer (but I have to be there on 12-21...my b-day) and drive down...like maybe stay ten nights? Ok...someone help me with all these decisions.:headache: :dance3:

Linda: Good luck w/the rental! DVC sounds a lot more fun to me too. Good luck finding a lilac shower curtain too! Too bad for your mom, I just sold all my nice fluffy lilac towels at my garage sale or I'd have offered to send them to you. My old bathroom (ok this is going to sound weird but it looked really good) had yellow cabinets, so I got a sheer yellow shower curtain, lilac bath towels and hand towels/washcloths that were white and striped with yellow, lilac and pale green. It really did look a lot better than it sounds - I hung floral prints of lilacs and lilies and it was really bright and relaxing. Since it was an apartment, I couldn't change the yellow cabinets so I found a way to work with them, and I ended up liking it a lot. But I really love my brown & pink bathroom now too! Now if only I could figure out what to do with my "master" bathroom... it's in my room but reaaaaally tiny, just a sink and a toilet. It's got the pink tile, but with a border of powder/slate blue tile. Very early 80s! It's truly awful - it's got this cloudy slate wallpaper and is just hideous. I think since it's such a small room I want to do it in classic Mickey/Hollywood style, sort of like MGM's main street but with more Mickey and less art deco. There is a border at disneyshopping.com that I've put in the cart a bazillion times but never bought... I'm such a waffler!

Speaking of shopping, I dragged the girls to the mall. Got those tiki character shirts for the whole famdamily for our trip! Me = Minnie, Lyzzie = Marie (from Aristocats), Emma = Thumper, Mom = Bambi, Dad = Grumpy (of course!), DB = Jack Skellington, DB's GF = Sally. I hope I got everyone the right sizes! Also got a pack of princess gel pens for Lyzzie ($0.99) and a pack of lollipops ($0.99) that were supposed to be a vacation surprise but Lyzzie saw them and I know she will NOT forget by then.

We also stopped into Claire's and I picked up a Mickey head cell phone charm and a pack of classic Mickey temporary tattoos - I figured they would be fun to wear at the parks and a heck of a lot cheaper than the ones you can get done there, plus nobody else will have the same ones on. :)

Those girls wore me out! I think I'm going to watch one of my Blockbuster movies - I have Talladega Nights (had it for weeks & still haven't watched it!) and Transamerica. Very different types of movies! Last night I watched Stephen King's Desperation but the DVD kept stopping for a split second, it was very jumpy. It was still watchable, but I reported it online and they immediately took it off my "shipped" list, I wonder what that means? I was hoping I'd get a free month or something, but it looks like they will just ship out another DVD a little sooner. Yeah, like I have time to watch any more! (Well I guess I would if I wouldn't DIS so much!)

Michele and Lesa: Have a GREAT trip!! We will all miss you so much. Lesa - you thought you were being sneaky there didn't you? I had to read that a couple of times to figure out who it was, I thought it was someone posting in the wrong thread. Oops! Whose account was that, anyway? I can't remember, did either of you post your itinerary for us? It's so nice to imagine we're there with our cliqueless friends whenever one (or more!) of us is in the World. DON'T FORGET THE STROLLER!!

Amber: pin trading is so much fun! I just started on my last trip with Lyzzie, and I ended up trading with her a few times because she kept taking the ones I wanted! Of course the CMs would trade with her first, and she would do that just to bug me. Snot! She has started collecting "Disney around the World" pins, which is what she calls pins from other Disney parks. She has one DL pin, and three EuroDisney. She treasures those, since it's no longer called that. I thought she had a DLP one too, but I didn't see it today so maybe she traded it? Even Emma likes to trade pins, but she'll just trade the same 2 back & forth all day long.

Well, we got Gary's sister to the airport and she has made it home safely. We decided to stop at Red Robin for lunch. I just love their Ensenada Chicken!!

Hey Donna...I didn't see you there. Glad you enjoyed your visit with your SIL. What's the Ensenda chicken? Oh... and yes it is the ever so scary supervisor.:headache: :scared:

YM: I forgot to say how nice that picture at LTT is! I tried to get an ADR there for our upcoming trip but the CM said it was full on the day I wanted it. It's not truly "full," there just aren't tables to seat us all. We ended up with 'Ohana for 4:15 - too late for lunch but too early for dinner. Oh well, we took it because it's hard to get reservations for 7, and I'm sure my parents will love it. I guess we'll have to try for LTT next time, whenever that might be. You know me... my advice if you can stay 10 nights, do it! There's no such thing as "too long" of a stay at WDW.

Well, were getting ready for bed! I'm sure I won't get a chance to say goodbye, so I'll say it now! Good bye!! We'll be thinking of you guys.:)

hmmm, I'd have to say 10 days would be SOOOOO awesome. we did that last year in April and had a blast, but we just stayed at POP. but WL is so nice too!!!does your dh have a say or does he pretty much just go w/the flow?

oh...you DVC owners, or who has stayed at a dvc resort, how are the beds??? I know it souds crazy, but that is so important to us w/Mikes back. here we have the temperpedic and the beds at POP:eek: not good on his back. I've read that the deluxes had much better mattresses...I would think the dvc resorts would too..but I'd rather ask then get a surprise! Lyzziesmom I'm sure you'll know VERY soon how SS is:banana:

There's no such thing as "too long" of a stay at WDW.

so true!!!

I was reading on here that there was a family from Ohio that has a son that works at wdw, used his discount and had enough points to stay at dvc for 3 MONTHS!!!WOW...they're my heroes:lmao: That would be SOOOO awesome!!!

Ensenada Chicken=Two tender, juicy charbroiled chicken breasts basted with a zesty Mexican blend of seasonings, then charbroiled and bursting with Baja-style flavor.

YM:: I would probably drive and stay longer. Would weather be a problem for driving that time of year?

lyzziesmom:: I saw the Tiki shirts a couple of weeks ago at TDS!! I really like the look of all of their Tiki things.

So far we have stayed at OKW, Boardwalk and Vero and I have to say I love the mattresses!! Very comfy!!

Well I am off to bed soon...if I don't get a chance in the morning I will 'see' you all real soon. Blake is bringing his laptop so I can burn my pics onto a cd. Hopefully I will be able to sign on a few times to check in with everyone!

Bye!!!:woohoo:

I'm sure you will enjoy your 'Ohana reservation. I thought it was delicious! I'm not totally convinced the 10 days would be worth driving for...although I'm still thinking! DH always has the week between xmas and New Years. This year becuase of my dire need to spend my 40th b-day at WDW he will have to ask for the week before off too...so why not hang around? My mind is going crazy.

Glad you made it to the Disney store for some good deals!:dance3:

Hey dznymemories...welcome...we're a real friendly group...:lmao: :lmao: Ok...really have a WONDERFUL TRIP Lesa, Michele and family.:dance3: :yay: :woohoo: :cheer2:  :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

Linda...DH's biggest concern at all times is how much money I'm going to make him spend....poor guy.:confused3 :rotfl:

YM, I would look into staying longer, especially since it will be busier leading up to Christmas.

Lyzziesmom, is the border you like the black and white photo border? I LOVE that and want to buy it, but don't have a room it would work in. I saw pink, blue, and white towels at Walmart today; they would help tie together the tile and not make it look 80's.

I bought the Mickey and Grumpy tiki shirts. They didn't have a womens shirts in my size. I LOVE tiki and would have bought every shirt if I could have.

Before I forget, sorry Donna, I would post our itinerary for Disney, but we don't have one.:rolleyes1 I know on Sunday we are eating at Chef Mickey's, one of the days we are having tonga toast :yay: , then from there your guess is as good as ours.:lmao: We are such planers, NOT! :scared: Wait, I take that back, we do have an itinerary for Vero.

Sunday: Drive to Vero and relax by the pool or ocean
Monday: Relax by pool or ocean
Tuesday: Relax by pool or ocean
Wednesday: Cry because we are so sunburned we can hardly stand it, but still relax by pool or ocean just with a bit more shade ;)
Thursday: Relax by pool or ocean
Friday: Pack :guilty:, Relax by pool or ocean, drive to the airport and fly home:sad1:

O.k. this time I'm really heading back to bed!:rolleyes1

Took me a while to find it, but here it is!

Linda...DH's biggest concern at all times is have much money I'm going to make him spend....poor guy.:confused3 :rotfl:

That is ALL men:rotfl: oh ok....MOST of them anyway! I would definitely consider travel conditions, but that could delay you either way, driving or flying! Maybe he would compromise on a moderate:confused3 ;)

Linda: I've heard the beds at SSR (and all the DVCs) are really comfy! But I'm sure it depends on what's "comfy" for each person. To me, the value beds are way too hard, but I can't take too soft either. Will ya listen to me, I'm like Goldilocks when it comes to beds! Mine at home used to be just right, until it developed a dent in the middle - oops. I keep meaning to ask my mom to help me flip it, I just can't do it on my own and I keep forgetting to ask for help. The only time I think about it is when I'm sleeping, or more accurately NOT sleeping, on it. I really hope the SSR beds are as comfy as I've read about - of course after a day at WDW the way we do it, I could sleep on just about anything. Ahhhhh, I'm really looking forward to a nice lukewarm soak in the hottub with the jets blasting my back & feet, and then climbing into a nice firm bed with soft covers... and the best part, waking up and still being in WDW!!

Three months of DVC points? Holy crap! I'd go broke from the food prices but that would be so awesome! I'd probably rather split it up into a whole bunch of weeks here & there... can you just imagine the possibilities?

Donna: I didn't like the tiki shirts when I first saw them, but they kind of grew on me. Darn that Disney! Now they have new "surf shop" tshirts that were really cute, sort of a pencil-drawn style, but the kids didn't like them. I might have to get some anyway though if they go on sale. ;)
