YM...yeah, I think the Suburban is Chevy. Those are pretty big! Passat is a VW right? I'm not sure if it would be bad or not? you have a beautiful family!!!

It's a Tahoe Z71. 4 Wheel Drive. I like it because all 5 of us can fit it it with room to spare. DW drives a Nissan Pathfinder. She likes it as well. She used to drive an Infinity I30. All 5 of us would fit in it, but the kids were packed in the back seat, and they just needed room to spread out.

My Tahoe averages about 17 mpg. It's not TOO much of a gas guzzler.

Plus, we like the option of 4 wheel drive if we have bad weather.


Yep, the kids are out of school Monday. DW is off work as well. But this year, our company took away the MLK Holiday. We had it off last year. I've seen the weather forecasts........looks like we are expected to get rain Friday, sleet/snow mix on Saturday, and snow Sunday. And temperatures are supposed to stay in the 20's from Saturday until next Tuesday. brrrrr.

Yes..they are very roomy. We have the captian chairs in the back and then bench behind them. I think we've gotten 19mpg on the highway but in town it's much less...I would have to ask DH. He reads here sometimes but doesn't post...Hi hunny...if you are reading...call and tell me what the gas mileage is in town on the Suburban.

We get Monday off too but it's goverment work also. I don't work Mondays so I'm already off. DH does not get many days off during the year because they usually shut down during Christmas to New Year...sound like he's in the airplane business.

DnzyFan... two days off! What are you going to do?

Thanks. I did ask about the shot because I would LOVE no cycles (it was my favorite part of pregnancy - besides the end result of course), but she doesn't reccommend it for me because it can cause weight gain and I am already too much overweight on my own. Apparently I have some sort of hormone imbalance which they can't quite pin down, and as a result I have never been regular.

That's the problem I was having... I was only "visited" three times in all of 2006! But one of the visits lasted 10 weeks. Yuck! It's getting better now with the BC to regulate the hormones, but obviously is still not quite right. The nice part though, is that I can choose when to skip and when not to skip! (Like on vacation I will skip!)

YM: I'm sorry you didn't get that 3rd child. That must have been scary thinking you might be pregnant with your DH deployed just one week! I don't know how people can do that, it must be so hard. I am so happy with my two princesses, and I just know I could never have another one without a stable relationship and financial situation. It's hard enough with the two and being on my own - although I do like being the only boss in my own house!! I even had a dream about having a new baby and dreamed of the name and everything... it was very weird. (the dream, not the name!) At this point, I think I will just have to be satisfied with my two because I don't really see myself ever getting married again, and that is the only way I'd want to have any more. I do miss when they were babies though, there's just something about a tiny little baby that gets me all silly.

Yes, the Passat is a VW...I guess that is different than a Volvo...but I still would worry about oil changes! Ok...so I drive a Chevy... Is the Yukon a GM? It is huge. I usually park way out so I can pull through a spot! I've done so good until it snowed here and we had huge piles of snow in the parking lots for a good week. I backed into a snow pile(that was frozen solid) and put two ugly dents in my fender. Thank you for the kind compliment on my family. We did want a girl but as you know boys are very special...and I must say...they really love their moms!

I didn't realize this until just now, but Lyzzie has Monday off too! I don't get another paid holiday until Memorial Day. That seems like forever away. I think I will see if my mom will bring the kids to have lunch with me on Monday. We meant to do that over Christmas break but never really got around to it.

Linda: I can't believe that laptop thief! Did anybody see who it was? When I was getting ready to buy my camera, the clerk at Target took it off the safety cord and removed the anti-theft sensor/sticker and put batteries in it because the power supply wasn't working. Then he left the department for like 10 minutes! I was thinking... gee if I was a different kind of person I could just walk right out of here with this camera. I mentioned it to Lyzzie and asked her if would be the right thing to do, since it would save us a bunch of money. She had the right reaction: looking at me like I grew a third eyeball! I couldn't even believe that guy did that - you never know what kind of things could happen.

Scary! We've had that happen in our building from time to time - purses, wallets - people will walk right into back doors to suites that are unlocked, or into small suites when there's nobody around, and just grab and go. Amazing what people will do, even when there are other people around!

I love mine, it has adjustable lumbard (sp?) support in the drivers seat which is awesome. My friend has the G6 and she adores it.

Lyzziesmom, I have severe regularity problems too. I was originially on ortho and I kept telling the doctor I was gaining alot of weight on it...she kept telling me it was my eating habits (which hadn't changed) so I wound up switching to Seasonale (3 months between) and it was great at first but then I was spotty quite a bit of the time. Now I am on Yasmin and so far it is great! I'm losing a little bit of weight on it and it is very regular. I am giving you a big virtual hug right now!

I know, I know, TMI...Sorry!

Well, I need to print my resumes, cover letter and references, go pick up my jacket from the dry cleaners, stop by the bank and finish laundry so I can finish packing. Thank You! Me too.... this coming from someone who had major surgery a couple years ago - I'd almost rather do that than go to the oral surgeon. Oh, well, at least I have an excuse to go by Cold Stone and pick up something special for me to put in my freezer.
