Morning everyone! Good news: my migraine is gone! But I have a feeling it will be coming back... I left some unresolved issues at work yesterday with reports and the plan is to get that straightened out this morning. Ugh.

Donna: that car looks like a Lyzziesmom car! Glad to hear your connection is back up. Do you have AOL by any chance? I heard AOL users were having a lot of problems yesterday.

Linda: good luck car shopping! That can be so stressful because you're right, it is a ton of money and you want to make sure it'll be something you like for a long time! I really want my next car to be a PT Cruiser. They are just so CUTE, and roomy and practical too because they are up a little higher than a regular car, so I don't strain my back as much hauling things (children) in & out, and getting in & out myself is easier. Also, they are CUTE! (Did I say that?) I can't believe Kenny is only 34 pounds! Emma is almost 30 pounds - no wonder my back hurts!

Lin: Yay... tonight!! Good luck on your interview, I know you'll do well. And don't forget to have FUN!

YM: Wow that IS a busy week so far! Glad everyone is ok. I hope the rest of your week is a lot calmer.

My Disney Crocs came yesterday! They are so cute - Emma's fit right inside of mine! I wish she was here so she could try them on. They look very small but I'm sure they will fit. They must be a different style than the ones I already have because the new ones fit a little more snugly. I will have to wear them around the house to get used to them - it's way too cold to wear them out & about!

Welcome bytheblood! Nice to have new people! We just kind of think out loud around here, so no gossip or any bad stuff.... but you might see the occasional vent here & there!

I should get some work done - boss will be here soon & I should be busy. Have a great day all!!

Thanks for the muffins, Donna! thanks for posting Lin's itinerary.

Linda - how did the wrestling go?

Good evening all!!! I must apologize for the absence of breakfast this morning, Internet was being difficult!! DH had to re-boot when he got home. I used to able to do this myself, but now there are so many connections to disconnect, I can't remember which ones to do and in what order!!!!
Good Grief!! You must some kind of computer set up if you have to have instructions and an “order” to go by to re-boot!! How many PC’s do you have hooked up? You must have several, plus a router or something. I need to get a new home PC. I think when I do, I am going to get a laptop with wireless internet. Then let the kids have my current PC.

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

Lyzziesmom- I'm glad your migraine is gone. Hopefully it won't come back. :cheer2: You got your crocs in! I want a pair of the mary jane kind.

Yolanda- Have fun on your day off!

Lin- Have a great trip!

All those cars are so cute! I really like the Solara though. I just have a little Nissan. I didn't have time to look because I had just gotten in a wreck and just picked whatever I could afford. I'm happy with it though.

Well Kenny is all excited...he starts "bitty wrestling" Monday...Boy I've got to have the camera out for this!!! It wraps up while were on vacation, but you'll have that. Mikes brother is the coach. He's already going around trash talking..."I'm gonna kick their tail":lmao: He's 34# and he's going to do what:confused3
Oh, you are definitely going to have take pictures. I've got some friends whose son did bitty wrestling. It is SOOO cute!!

Glad to year your migraine is gone. Sorry to hear that you have work issues to resolve today.

lyzziesmom.......before you go out and get that PT Cruiser do some research. I have read a LOT of negative things about the reliability of them.

Since we are on the subject of cars.........here is what I drive:

This isn't MY vehicle, but mine is just like this one - same color and everything.

Have to tell you guys my “hidden Mickey” story……

As you know, I had to move cubes a week or two ago….. When I moved, I had to pack all my stuff up in a couple of boxes. Well, I still had some of the “Cliqueless Cliquers” Christmas cards on my desk. And someone – and forgive me for forgetting who – had the cute little Mickey things in the card. Well, I had some of the Mickey things on my desk.

So fast forward to yesterday……I went to the bathroom and went to wash my hands, and I look down at the tile floor. One of the Mickey’s had made its way to the bathroom, and since it was by the sink, I guess water had gotten on it, and now it is permanently affixed to the floor of the men’s restroom!!

Sorry……just thought it was a cute story……

awww...that is cool:cloud9: Lesa sent us the "extras" in the card. Kenny thought he hit the jackpot:rotfl:

you guys are killing me...now I am getting new car fever big time!!

Donna...my x was a huge Toyota fan too. I really like them too but w/the GM discount:rolleyes1 Mike insists I get a GM product. I love my Volvo:love: it is an S80 T6...which is twin turbo:woohoo: I love it...it is so comfortable, fast, and is high quality. the only problem is they get you on repairs... an oil filter alone is like $4 or so. Everyone tries to charge you $50 for an oil change b/c the filter and the 6.8 quarts of oil it takes:rolleyes: . We found a place that will let us bring the oil and filter and charge us $12 to do the work ;) That I can handle :) Mine is like this... mystic silver w/black leather interior.

Pozey...yea for the hidden Mickey on the floor. Hope they don't scrape it off when when clean. Hey is that a Tahoe or a Suburban. I drive a Suburban...talk about gas guzzling machine. I do feel very safe in it. I really like driving it but now that the kids are getting older I told DH that I would consider driving the "economical' car but not the one he drives ( I don't like it). I would love a passat or even a one of those cars Donna drives but I just don't want a car that cost $$$ to work on...or do they ever break? My DH would take over the Suburban becuase we LOVE traveling in it...so much room!

Yolanda...I think we are getting your snow on Sat and Sun. We are always dependant on the temps but right now they are saying rain changing to ice Sat and snow on Sun. :sad2: My kids are out on Monday anyway. DznyFan and Pozey...are your kids out Monday?

lyzziesmom...glad you got your crocs. I usually wear a 71/2 or 8 and ended up with med (8-9). My DH tried on some large (10-11 mens) and his toes hit the end so he didn't get any. Hope yours fit ok! We are going to be so stylish...I just need to go find that sweater you and Donna have.;) Today looks fairly calm so far...no rashes or ER visits! I just HATE hospitals...I don't know how they save lives they are so unorganized.:sad2:

Donna...thanks for the muffins! Looks like our internet services are good for today. I was so disappointed yesterday. Hey...I do need a vacation. I think I'll sneak away to WDW for a few days.;)

2xcited...I know you are a busy girl...hope the treatments/work are going well. :goodvibes

April...wow...you now have two sisters going? You guys are going to have a little party. I think I would have fun with my sisters at WDW if I could get them down there! They would both rather go to the beach...I'm not a big beach person. In my old age I really don't like being wet..unless I'm on Splash Mountain and it's hot outside (don't like being wet and cold even at WDW)! Plus, the wind and the sand.....well anyway...a day at the beach is long enough for me. I do like to look at the so an ocean view room in Hawaii would be nice!

Hello to eveyone else and all the newbies stopping by!

lyzziesmom.......before you go out and get that PT Cruiser do some research. I have read a LOT of negative things about the reliability of them.

Really? I'm surprised to hear this. I had one as a rental car and I just fell in love with it. I've talked to several PT owners as well, and they all had nothing but wonderful things to say about them. One guy who came to our last garage sale in one told me how he was in an accident & wrecked his first PT, then got a different car. He hated the new car so much & had so many problems with it (I forget what kind it was)he sold it & got another PT.

Sorry……just thought it was a cute story……

That IS a cute story! We found one stuck to the bathroom floor of the movie theater here in KC a few months ago... it was an unexpected bit of Disney magic where we least expected it! We actually have a bunch of the Mickey confetti from when we did the Family Magic Tour... Lyzzie was in charge of the "Mickey dust" bag for the duration of the tour and she kept sneaking little pinches of it into her pockets!

DznyFan: What kind of Mazda is that? I drive a red Protege and it's pretty fast. It's not what I would have chosen but it works well and never has any maintenance issues.

I have to tell you guys something, and it may be a little TMI but I need to share this with SOMEONE. A few months back, my Dr. put me on new birth control - the ring type. She told me I could use it in such a way as to skip one or two cycles and then have a normal one. (I was having issues with regularity.) So anyway... this past week I was due for my normal cycle, which is supposed to come 2 days after removing the ring. It didn't come, despite having removed the ring last Monday. I have been stressed out and scared to death all week! Finally today everything is back to normal. Sorry if that is TMI but I have been so scared all week, even though I was 99.9% positive there was NO possibility of pregnancy... but weirder things have happened. I just kept thinking about how I can NOT handle another child right now, but I'm against any other alternative. So, everything is ok now and I feel better (and the teeeeeeeniest bit sad) - thanks for listening!

Linda...wow...see there goes my idea of getting a Passat! :sad2: Good luck with your car search...I love my Surburban...isn'ts that a GM? I'm sure they have a small sporty...good gas mileage car that's cheap to work on. LOL

Pozey...yea for the hidden Mickey on the floor. Hope they don't scrape it off when when clean. Hey is that a Tahoe or a Suburban.
It's a Tahoe Z71. 4 Wheel Drive. I like it because all 5 of us can fit it it with room to spare. DW drives a Nissan Pathfinder. She likes it as well. She used to drive an Infinity I30. All 5 of us would fit in it, but the kids were packed in the back seat, and they just needed room to spread out.

My Tahoe averages about 17 mpg. It's not TOO much of a gas guzzler.

Plus, we like the option of 4 wheel drive if we have bad weather.

Yolanda...I think we are getting your snow on Sat and Sun. We are always dependant on the temps but right now they are saying rain changing to ice Sat and snow on Sun. :sad2: My kids are out on Monday anyway. DznyFan and Pozey...are your kids out Monday?
Yep, the kids are out of school Monday. DW is off work as well. But this year, our company took away the MLK Holiday. :confused3 We had it off last year. :confused3 I've seen the weather forecasts........looks like we are expected to get rain Friday, sleet/snow mix on Saturday, and snow Sunday. And temperatures are supposed to stay in the 20's from Saturday until next Tuesday. brrrrr.

That's what I like to hear! :thumbsup2 wish him good luck for me, and remind him stance, and movement.

I will :) thanks:thumbsup2 I can't wait to see this!!!

Hi Donna!

Linda- That's too cute about Kenny! I can't wait to see pics!
:cloud9: You know I will ;)

Linda, I have a cobalt and I LOOOOVVVEEEE it, it gets 28 miles per gallon in the city and almost 40 if all freeway driving. Kenny is the cutest!

Thanks for all the p&pd! I'm so excited!

Donna, I'm PMing you now!
Mike looked at them too... I'm just afraid of comfort 3 hrs driving a day??? 40 mpg would be great!

Howdy cliqueless crew! I had interent problems myself today. Seems that the local connection was not working properly. My sister that lives nearby was having problems to.

Sorry to hear about the car troubles for Linda and Briana.:sad2: Linda what kind of car did you have that you loved? Wow...Kenny is only 34lbs? He doesn't look that petite.

Yea to Colton and Chase for the swim meet wins!:cheer2:

Well, it's been an interesting week. First my dad ended up in the ER on Monday from a medication reaction...and we couldn't find my mom. Everything turned out fine.:) Then the school called while I was in the ER becuase DS had an itchy rash...which turned out to be nothing....thank goodness.

I need to catch up a bit more.:surfweb:

Wow YM you did have an interesting week as well! Glad everything is ok with your dad and ds! Now I have a Volvo S80 T6... I do love it..but I just drive too many miles to kill a car that expensive just commuting. If I had a job close to home I would get another in a heartbeat. Yeah, Kenny is a tiny thing. Hope your pc problems got better!

Hi, everyone!!! My internet issues are temporarily solved. Now the only problem is the nut behind the keyboard, if you know what I mean!:teeth:

We have good news in that one of our Crew members is heading to our World this evening! Have fun Lin.

Linda:: My DH drives a Toyota Tacoma truck. It doesn't get the best gas mileage, about 26mpg, I think. We really needed a truck to haul stuff. Not to be politically incorrect or anything; but we almost always drive Toyotas. We pile on the miles and those things can go forever!!! I fell in love with the Camry Solara. It comes in a convertible. It looks like a Linda car...check it out.

photo_7.jpg

It is available in a 4cyl(34mpg highway) or a 6cyl(29mpg highway). OK, Toyota commercial is over.:)
QUOTE]

Ok... I love this car.. that does look great! My x has a Tacoma too. Still a nice truck.

Good morning!

Linda-- I bet you'll get some cute photo's. Tell Kenny to "go get 'em!" :)

Well our next round of snow is supposed to start tomorrow night. So, I'm getting ready to shovel again. And to think I was the one who told my husband we didn't need a snowblower :headache: What was I thinking? :rolleyes1 Well, I have the day off today so I'm going to treat myslef to lunch and a movie :thumbsup2 Have a good day everyone!
I will tell him :) Good luck w/the snow coming!! Enjoy your day off!

Morning everyone! Good news: my migraine is gone!
I will have to wear them around the house to get used to them - it's way too cold to wear them out & about!
Yay the migraine is gone. those are so horrible!
One of our guys has a PT cruiser. He really likes it! Now I'm getting new car fever...Yay for the new crocks!

Linda - how did the wrestling go?

Donna, you feel like Toyotas like I feel about Nissans. In the past 14 years, I've owned 2 vehicles that weren't Nissans - one was a Honda, and my current car is a Mazda.

That's my car, right down to the color, and my windows are blacked out. It's got a 4 cyl in it, but its a 2.3 litre dual overhead cam so it doesn't get as good gas mileage as the standard 4 cyl 1.8 litre. I've been driving Maximas for years, and I was driving a Maxima that was killing me on gas when it was $3 a gallon. This was a close to a nice sports car as I could get without it being ridiculous on gas, and still be in my budget. Actually, I love it! It's cheap to drive, has lots of power, and handles wonderfully. It was pretty reasonable, too - Mine's pretty loaded and I paid right around $20K. I couldn't afford what I really wanted:
Kenny starts the 15th. We filled out the paperwork last night. Very cool car!! That is what I'm thinking between 20-30k this time would be alright... Now I want to go drive some!!!

Good Morning!

All those cars are so cute! I really like the Solara though. I just have a little Nissan. I didn't have time to look because I had just gotten in a wreck and just picked whatever I could afford. I'm happy with it though.
Isn't that Solara awesome!!! As long as you're happy w/it, that is what really matters!

Pozey..that looks like a great vehicle for taking the 3 kids around:cool1:

ok...I have to get back to work or I'll be drooling over cars more:rolleyes1

 I understand about the relief and also the teeeeeniest sad part. We wanted three kids but we had our plate full with two. My DH was worried about his job for a long time after 911. He was also activated for 6 months with the AF way back at the being of the war. After that we had a couple of "late" times and although the timing was never good the thought of another "beautifaul" child always makes you a little sad even if it's ablsolutely not right at the time. One of the times for me was right after(a week after) my DH left the country...not a good time...but I was still a touch sad. We are very busy and happy with our two great boys! I know you are too(girls of course). :)

Yes - and I took Monday and Tuesday off, too!
