How cool there was a woman from Broken Arrow on Wheel of Fortune!! Did she win?

There was a woman from another Tulsa suburb on Deal or No Deal last night. I have never seen the show, but they had her on the local news the past couple of days. She was the woman who came out on stage doing backflips and slapping the host on the backside.

OMG...I bet Howie about died!! He's a germaphobe that doesn't like to shake hands or anything... we've watched it several times but missed that one.

The migraine is slightly subsiding but not nearly enough. This morning is when my parents left with Emma to take my brother to Minnesota. I was in tears on the way to work, I told my mom to be careful with my baby! Emma was busy coloring when I left and couldn't be bothered with saying goodbye. I miss her already! Lyzzie is looking forward to some time without her, she wants to play games and watch movies and do all the things that Emma usually interrupts, but she said she will miss her too because she is so cute. I just love how well they get along! Last night they were up talking and singing until well after 9:00pm. I kept telling them to go to sleep but I love listening to them when they don't know I'm there... so cute!!

yep...you wouldn't know from how he acts on the show. He's had people hug him, he shakes their hand and I'm just waiting to see his face don't touch me...I guess he walks around w/hand sanatizer 24/7 ... no, the mr. clean doesn't do it!

Just found this: Mandel has obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and mysophobia (fear of germs) to the point that he does not shake hands with anyone, including enthusiastic contestants on Deal or No Deal, unless he is wearing latex gloves. Instead of shaking contestants' hands when they offer them, he will give the contestants congratulatory gestures such as tapping another's fist with his own fist, or putting his hands on their shoulders. Howie now takes medicine to control his condition and even pokes fun at himself for it.

I saw somewhere that Howie shaves his head because of the germs that supposedly live in hair? I do remember when he had his talk show he would never shake anyone's hand, so maybe he's doing a little better now. But I'm with you guys, I don't like the shaved head look on him - it just looks weird!

I went to Sam's Club at lunchtime today to pick up the new Plum book because it's usually cheaper there than at Borders. I should have known better! I spent over $100!! I did get some really good deals though. I picked up a Disney Mix Stick for Lyzzie - if you haven't seen it, it's an MP3 player plus it plays these little memory card type things (Mix Clips) that hold an entire album. Anyway, it was a bonus pack that came with the player, a speaker/recharger unit that lights up, and one of the Mix Clips full of Radio Disney songs. The whole thing was only $33.00!! It was left over from Christmas stuff and it was the last one - I think they were originally selling for something like $96. I will try to hold on to it until her birthday, but I really want to give it to her! I also got something I didn't really need - a tower of chocolate. Hey, it was like 75% off - I HAD to!

We just went to Sam's last week. I bought a 5lb tin of butter cookies! Why? I have no idea, but it was a good price. I think your tower of chocolate might be healthier.

Chocolate is supposed to be good for you, right? Also, the tower is very pretty and will look lovely in my kitchen. And I can reuse the boxes for gifts, so I think it was a very good buy. Plus... IT'S A FLIPPIN' TOWER OF CHOCOLATE!!

Since Deal or No Deal is on Channel 2 (NBC), she has been talked about on Channel 2. I think she was on last night. I think she won somewhere in the neighborhood of $40,000. I believe she was from Glenpool?

well, one of my co-workers just made my day...he wants me to help him plan their first trip to Disney w/the kids cuz "I'm the disney guru around here" I sent him this website of coarse! Plus tons of others to start checking out... intercot.com, tourguide mike, etc... I'm so excited!!!

Linda: you are braver than me! I love planning for myself or for people I know will enjoy it (like you guys!) but I don't like planning for other people. Especially for "non-Disney" people... they just don't get it. I had a very hard time planning our last trip, when my parents went with us. No matter how many times I asked them what they wanted to do, my dad just wanted to eat a lot on free dining and my mom wanted to sit by the pool. Right up until the day before we left... then suddenly there were all these things they wanted to do and were asking me about. I was like, nope sorry, the plans were made three months ago - you should have told me then!! Good luck helping your coworker with their first trip, I'm sure you'll help them have lots of fun!

Hi everyone!!!

Where is Miss Donna?? I hope shes ok!!!

We had one scare this morning- I got up and there was a notice from the apartment complex that we owed them $831! I had NO idea where they would get that number from because thats not our rent amount and we are never late with our rent. Well it turns out it was just a mistake from the woman at the front office, (who I can't stand, by the way, ) and when we re-signed our lease, supposedly we were supposed to start paying the new rent amount (which was about $40 higher) THAT month. Sp shes saying we owe $40. Well that doesn't make sense because we re-signed in late August and our lease was up in October but WHATEVER, Jeremiah wants to pay them for their stupid mistake...Supposedly the $40 had been building interest since then or something. ?? I don't know, all I know is I'm sick of this apartment complex wanting to take advantage of people....if that was the case- (and it doesn't make any sense that we would pay the NEW rent when we were under contract for the old one) it was that stupid chick's fault who didn't tell us!!


ANYWAY!!!

Lyzziesmom- I remember you saying that you wanted to go for your (our!) birthday!!! That makes me so much more excited!! I wonder if they will release the codes for the free dining this year. Last year I went through a travel agency at the Mouseforless but I don't think I'm doing that this year....Where do you think your staying?? (my mind is moving a million miles a thought! I have no idea where we're staying so I doubt you do- its pretty far away!!) The only thing I would hesitate about in regards to free dining is I DON'T want to go when the lovebugs are out! (see tag!) I also wanted to go when I turned 21 and enjoy the food & wine festival but I think I could live with not being there then for the free food!!!

Ashley: I have no idea IF we will even go for my birthday, let alone which resort!! I'd really like to stay at ASMu next time - we loved Movies and Lyzzie wants to try Music, and I like the price. BUT it all depends upon whether free dining is offered. I'm also thinking of upgrading to an AP or maybe adding more non-expiring days next month, it depends on what kind of price I can get. So... it's all just kind of a pipe dream right now, but if we do go again this year it will not be for Lyzzie's birthday again - we did that the last 2 years and I'm afraid she's coming to expect it! Who knows, we might even end up going to DL and DCA instead, I've been wanting to try that too.

Well, my other sister just found out that my other Sis and I are going to Disney and now she wants to come.

Oh the joys of owning DVC.

If she does come, though, she'll only be there Friday through Sunday. She teaches 4th grade and can't take the time off but anytime she hears someone's going to Disney (i.e. me and my DVC) she wants to come. .

If you all remember, Sherri was Snow White and my other sister was the Pirate Wench in my MNSSHP pictures. She probably won't hang around with us much because she's a "resort girl" in Disney . Which me and my other sister CAN NOT understand!!

Anyway, it's still up in the air. But I hope this is ok w/ everyone? She loves Disney, too, and she's really good with children .... Kenny and Emma. . . . It would be hard to take one sis but tell the other one they can't go ya' know?

Well, I've been busy busy busy cranking out more resumes and apps. Hence, my absence from our thread in case you've been wondering, which you're probably not. I'm very anal (I think) in that I customize every resume to each position I apply for trying to excentuate (sp?) my strongest skills for the skills they're looking for specifically.

Anyway, just wanted to jump in here and tell you all I miss you but I've GOT to get a job!

Steven goes in for an interview tomorrow morning at Clemson U. Prayers

Hey April... you don't have any more sisters do you? j/k... I don't mind another joining our little group! Although it's getting to be not so little, eh? Good luck to Steven with his job interview tomorrow, and to you too! I'm sure you'll find something, sometimes it can take a while for just the right thing to pop up. It sounds like you do a really good job with your resumes! I usually just have two resumes I use, and I will customize the cover letter - as if anyone actually reads those things. (BTW: it's "accentuate" - since you asked)

I bought the neatest thing today, it's Post-It photo paper. So you can print out photos and stick them up wherever you want, but they peel off easily too. I printed out a couple pictures to stick to my desk drawers at work, that way I can see my girls all day but it doesn't take up precious space on the desk. And I found out that my new camera's pictures look even better printed than they do on the screen!!

The new Plum book looks very short! It is really thin. And I just noticed on the cover it says, "A Stephanie Plum Between-the-Numbers Novel." So that answers that!

Well, I must go play Monopoly with Lyzzie. See you all later alligators!
