Well, I will be leaving work early!!

YM - we had a lovely evening for Miss Erin's birthday - she wanted sushi, so we went to Fuji. In The Raw was just too packed!
Afterwards, we went over to Cold Stone, and I found the best ice cream I've EVER had - it is Dark Chocolate Peppermint..... ooooh it was so good. Not overly minty, very dark chocolatey - I mixed in chocolate shavings and macadamia nuts. All in all, we had a nice evening.

Glad Erin had a great birthday!!

Ooh! Ooh! I didn't tell ya'll! (I'm not excited or anything...) I think I'm going to get my SCUBA certification sometime this spring - something I've been wanting to do - and I'm going to try and do the Living Seas dive in June when we go. I LOVE the water, and I think learning to SCUBA dive would just be one of the coolest things to do! Especially at WDW.

I have to ask.......are you going to be go to Dive Tulsa to be certified? I ask because either the owners or some of the instructers for Dive Tulsa live right across the road from me.
Sounds like you will have a blast.

Hey all! We made it back last night from our 18 day honeymoon.. man was that the best trip ever! DH totally suprised me... a couple times!! We were supposed to stay our entire trip at the ASMo's... when we got to Orlando International, I went outside for a puff, and when I came back in, he was waiting by the magical express line up. Little did I realize, he was being very sneaky in standing in front of the AKL sign... he suprised me with our first 3 nights in WDW at the AKL Savanah view room! It was awesome! I have always wanted to stay there before! I can't believe he pulled that one off. : ) Anyhoo, I'm sooo exhausted, but wanted to let ya know I'm back. I'll give a trip report later. I took one of those Zicam readymelt or easymelt tablets tonight and all I can say is ugh! You are just suppossed to let it dissolve of it's own free will in your mouth (and it really is not readymelt because it took almost 3 minutes and still not fully melted) and your not supposed to drink or eat for 15 minutes? It was very nasty so I instead of taking anymore I'll just be

I use the Zicam Cough spray. It tastes horrible......but it works.

Amber: That's too funny about making the dogs omelettes! (that was you, wasn't it?) I'm sure they were loving that. I once ran out of cat food & couldn't get to the store, so I gave them a bowl of spaghetti sauce. Weird yes, but they liked it a lot! Yay for leaving early! Everyone here is hoping the office will close early, but we are not really counting on it. If it didn't happen last week, it's not too likely today.

Donna: Those muffins look great! I skipped breakfast this morning, thought I had some poptarts in my drawer at work but I thought wrong.

I'm getting over my disappointment about the DDP. I have used it on my last 3 trips and really got used to the convenience of it. I like not having to think things like, "Are the pancakes cheaper than the waffles? But I really want waffles, but I'd really like to save a buck or two." Also, on the DDP Emma ususally will eat my appetizer so I don't have to order a meal for her. I guess I will just put the money I would have spent on the DDP into Disney Dollars or a gift card and not worry about it. Maybe I'll go back to losing weight on vacation like I did before the DDP existed!!

I had a stressful morning today. When I woke up everything was fine, but then after my shower I noticed I had a lot more time than I thought I did. So I slowed down & took my time making myself pretty. Then I looked at my watch again and realized it had stopped!! So I was actually running a little late. I just replaced the battery 2 months ago, plus the light on it still works, so that's not the problem. I mentioned something to my mom about Oh well, these 12 dollar watches never last more than a year or so. Then I remembered: This is the watch SHE gave me for Christmas last year!! I tried to backtrack, but she saved me my telling me it was actually a $10 watch. Whew! Guess I'll have to go buy a new watch at lunchtime today.

YM: I sent you a PM about your back, but after reading the posts it sounds like you might have it figured out? Anyway, it looks like the PMs are working again.

Does anyone else have a bar at the bottom of their window that says something about "Discussions" and then says "Discussions not available on http://disboards.com/" ? I'm wondering if that is part of the upgrade or if someone else installed some sort of toolbar on my computer. I hate having to share my computer! (When the front desk needs coverage during my lunch & breaks, the backup staff can use it and sometimes accidentally install things.)

Anyway, I'd better get some work done. Or at least pretend to!!

Funny thing about watches........I have 3 very nice Disney watches that I have bought while we were on vacation.......and I NEVER WEAR THEM.

Hello all!

Well, we got less snow than predicted last night (only about 7 or 8 inches). However, now they are saying it is going to snow clear through Sunday. Oh well. We went to the vets office to keep our kitty's vacination appointment and it's not too terribly bad out if you have a 4 wheel drive.

Hope everyone who is feeling ill gets better soon! I hate being sick over the holidays.

Hi Yolanda! Glad to hear you didn't get snowed in, but it sounds like you're still getting one heck of a storm. Here in Kansas City, 7 or 8 inches would shut the city down! We are supposed to get rain for the next 3 days... lovely.

I went out for lunch with my new friend from work to the Olive Garden and now I am so stuffed!! She invited me out to a party tonight so I am really hoping my mom will babysit. I'm not sure though, because she has had both girls all week since school is out.

I'm home from work a little early; my car was done (15,000 mi.maintenance) so Gary got to come pick me up and take me to the dealer in Mt. Vernon. Besides the routine stuff, there had been a small vibrating sound when I had the brake on and it wasn't in park. DH was afraid it might be something to do with the drive train, so I had them check it out. Come to find out mice had been storing dogfood (we sometimes feed Buddy in the garage) in the cabin air filter area....new cabin air filter= $40!!!

lyzziesmom:: The Olive Garden sounds yummy!!! What did you have? I always liked to have their soup, salad and breadsticks for lunch.
I hope your mom babysits tonight, I think you need a night out, girlfriend! Come to think of it, so do I!!! Can I come too?

YourMajesty:: My snorkeling expedition consisted of a boat taking us quite a ways off shore and jumping in. I just kind of panicked because I realized it was such a long way to the bottom. I am a pretty good swimmer, so I really don't know what my problem was, just had to get out of the water and back on the boat.

Donna: For lunch I had angel hair pasta with Alfredo sauce. I'm so boring, that's what I always get. But I always like it! My mom agreed to babysit, and now my friend is running really late! She was supposed to be here about 45 minutes ago and now she just called and said she'll be another 45 minutes - she has to drop off her daughter 30 minutes away. It looks like we might miss the whole party! We are planning to go see a live band in Missouri afterwards, someone another friend of hers (who will be with us) knows plays in it. Sure Donna, you can come with, how soon can you be in Missouri?? You're right, I DO need a night out!

I went shopping after work for a new shirt, but I didn't really find anything I liked. I did get a new set of hot rollers for my hair, and they work great! I just hope the curls last all night, I hate when they go flat because it usually happens only to half of my head.

I just realized that my favorite shirt that I decided to wear is the same one I wore last time I went to a party at this same girl's house. They are going to think I don't have any other clothes! But it's the only thing I feel good in right now, so I'm not changing.

It sure is quiet 'round here this evening. Where is everyone?

Good morning and Happy Saturday!!

I think everyone needs to take a can of Lysol to their keyboards. Apparently the cold/flu bug is being passed around. I woke up yesterday with the start of that icky throat/bowling ball head thing, thank you very much.


I am supposed to go for tea this afternoon with my aunt. You know I've really been into this High Tea thing and there is a tea room near her house that I was telling her about and she surprised me with a gift certificate. So, of course, it is already burning a hole in my pocket and we want to go before they take down the holiday decorations. So, after my Ny-Quil night last night, I hope I can taste some things. The tea will definitely help though.

Hi guys thought I better pop in. I've been keeping up reading but just haven't posted. I've been so busy at work I still have about a 1/2 a day to work yet sometime this weekend...oh well, I guess you'll have that sometimes. Plus it helps from going crazy w/o Kenny here. He finally called last night I miss him SOOOOO much!!!

My MIL is on her way over for a perm then we're heading up to Domenics house. Mikes pilot buddy. Mike made some wine so we're taking them a bottle and visit for awhile. New Years plans... I guess we'll see if I'm still awake by then I think last year I watched it on tv in bed... made it til about 12:10...

Donna thanks for a wonderful breakfast as usual I had mice in my car awhile back too! I was parking it outside sometimes and mice would get up in there and chew the insulation!!! Glad it wasn't more serious.

Good morning everyone!

Well, I can almost see the sky so we're probably done with the snow.
This also means everyone will probably come over to my house tomorrow so I have a heck of a lot of cleaning to finish up. It's hard with the kids tracking in and out from sledding in the front yard. Luckily we got rid of our carpet this year and now have wood floors. Much easier to clean!

Linda- I know you miss Kenny! BTW-- my husband makes wine also. It's his "latest" hobby. I get to hear all about the process, how he adds oak to it etc.. (as my eyes glaze over)
