YM: I have the same rule! Disney is a No-Crying Zone!! It doesn't always work, especially with Emma, but it always makes Lyzzie laugh.

Nicole: I think the multi-quote button is so you can easily quote more than one post in your post. You click the multi-quote on the posts you want to quote, and then on the last one just click the regular quote, and all the posts will be correctly quoted. I tested it out the other day, but didn't acutally post anything, I just clicked a bunch and then closed the window without submitting. It's pretty cool! I also noticed that when you edit a post, it doesn't open a new window anymore, you can just edit right within the original post. Much faster and easier!!

It's nice to see that I'm not the only one staying home on NYE. I guess that's what happens when you get older.

...drum roll please....

Cliqueless Question of the Day:

What are your plans for New Year's Eve?
As of right now..........we have no plans. We had plans to be in Phoenix, Arizona for New Years.......but that has been cancelled.

Now........not sure of what we will do. Maybe try to get someone to watch the kids so DW and I can go have a nice dinner and maybe a movie.

Also……more bad news……I had to cancel our trip to Arizona to see the Sooners play in the Fiesta Bowl. My boss denied my request to have a vacation day for January 2. Big project going into effect on that day and I am required to be here. DW was FURIOUS. :furious:

Well, so much for my sad sack life…..:sad1:

Pozey...darn...I'm so sorry to hear you had to cancel your trip.:sad2: That stinks. Let me just add that's a dumb day for a big project...too much going on around that time....ie BOWL GAMES. Hope you are feeling better.:goodvibes

Pozey - bad new for you - so sorry you guys had to cancel your Fiesta Bowl trip! :sad2:
I hope you're feeling better, though! :goodvibes You shouldn't have to be sick on Christmas, especially.

Pozey...Sorry to hear that your Fiesta Bowl plans were cancelled. I remember you saying when you made the plans that you were afraid that this might happen.:sad2:

Angela... It sounds like a big mistake at your parents house. I have a question tho...when did your boys open their presents from your folks? I have had to deal with a similar situation when the kids were little. We always had Christmas Eve with Blake's family, at this sister's house. Well some of her now ex-husbands relatives would come over and naturally only give gifts to their kids, not to mine. That was a tough thing to explain to little ones. I usually just distracted them by playing a game.

April...I'm sorry you're having neighbor problems. We have an older lady across the street who is an absolute doll, but once she gets you talking she doesn't want to let go. It is more of an issue in the summer when everyone is out and she is on her porch. I have the kids trained tho, they give me/her 15 minutes then stand on the porch with the phone in their hands and holler that I have a phone call:rolleyes1 That way she gets her visit and I get away without any hurt feelings.

QOD...Our new years plans have revolved around Briana for years princess: This will be her 19th birthday! For the longest time she thought all those people celebrating on TV and the ball falling...yep it was all for her :worship:

I imagine both my brothers and their families plus my parents will be here. We are actually celebrating her birthday Sat since my sister will be in town that day. Briana has talked of going to Canada for her birthday since you can drink there at 19:eek: but that is a scary night to be out so I told her NO WAY!!

Thanks for breakfast Amber! It looks yummy.

Oh I have a public service announcement......Never play poker with Lesa....she cheats!!!:confused3 :rotfl2: We were playing last night and she was winning big, then we found out why... she very proudly announced 5 chips and smacks them down...well she only has 4 on her pile:rolleyes1 Of course then she 'pretends' that she counted wrong:lmao: I guess you had to be there, but it was too funny. I told her I was going to tell everyone ( Hi Lesa:thumbsup2 )

Have a great day everyone!!

Oh, I almost forgot

Happy Birthday Erin!!!

lyzziesmom...My inlaws took a trip with us in 01. My youngest DS was 20 months and his brother was 4. I actually think (it's been a few years)...we didn't have but a couple of tears. My FIL was amazed...there is always some luck with the crying but careful planning is the key...and lots of goodies to distract! Now...when we went with my mom in 05 the boys were good but they got in a fight one day and my youngest DS hit his brother in the stomach (after lots of provoking). My oldest had to use his inhaler (he had a cough) I was like :sad2: :sad2: Anywho...we try!!!

And yes...staying at home does come with age.:hourglass We will celebrate with coke and chips.:woohoo: :woohoo:

Hey Michele...thanks for the immportant public service announcement.;) Lesa...so you counted wrong?

Good call on the Canada trip.... What could be better than the whole world celebrating her b-day on TV?:rotfl:

Lyzziesmom-Darin and I and the boys were going back up to my parents on Christmas Day so they were going to open their presents there on Christmas. My parents were so upset with my brother and sil that they stayed in the kitchen hoping they'd get the hint. It's really typical of their behavior. There kids are always in the right and always well behaved and mine are always wrong and out of control (according to them and they way they treat my kids.). They keep trying for a boy but I don't think they'd be able to handle one if they did!:sad2:

Pozey sorry about your trip being cancelled that stinks!!:grouphug: Hope that you two are able to go out for a nice dinner.

QOD: We will be at home and probebly asleep by 10:30am, we really know how to party:. We did buy a bottle of champagne but we will be at home, maybe we'll finally watch "Finding Neverland"! I've had that DVD for almost a year and have not got around to watching it. I know it's got to be good.....anything with Johnny Depp.

April here's hoping the New Year is psycho free:scared: , people are so strange sometimes. I know that they only persons house I'd show up at without calling would be my cousin who is more like my sister, of course they'd have to live here instead of Maryland or vice-versa for that to happen!!

Angela: I think I had Finding Neverland saved on my DVR for a couple months before I got around to watching it. I tried to watch it with Lyzzie but she thought it was boring - couldn't believe that was the same guy who is Jack Sparrow! Once I got around to it, it was a fantastic movie - but be sure to have your tissue box nearby!

I went to Target on my lunch hour... I think the entire store is on sale! I picked up a bunch of things for Christmas next year, plus a few little things just for me. <insert dearly departed teeth smiley here>

I can't remember if I've asked this question before. Has anyone gone to the beach while you're in Orlando? If so which beach? I've found numerous threads on beaches but wanted to ask your opinions. We are going to allow one day for a beach run in March and I know everyone loves St. Petes Beach (2 hours each way) I wanted to go closer like Cocoa Beach since we have Whispering Canyon ADRs at 5:45pm on that day (only a big deal if my brother and his family ending up going to Disney at the same time). So I guess my real question is: Is Cocoa Beach really that bad for being the closest beach to Orlando? If my brothers family isn't going a longer drive to St. Petes won't be a big deal and we can cancel our ADR.

I would love to go to Target but I am just tired out from everything to do much besides attempt to pick up the playroom! Glad you found some deals Lyzziesmom!

I don't know if any of you are Jane Austen fans but I read a pretty good book based on Pride and Prejudice. It's called Mr. Darcy's Daughters and it's a story about Elizabeth and Darcy's 5 oldest daughters. Of course it's not Jane Austen but it was very entertaining although Elizabeth and Darcy are out of the country so play no real role in the story, apart from letters.:thumbsup2

Angela: I was young when I lived in Orlando, but here's what I remember about Cocoa Beach (keep in mind I was 10 at the time)... the sand is very rocky. The tides were strong and kept knocking me down, and my knees got all bloody from landing on the sand. I remember Daytona Beach as being nice, and when we lived in Winter Park we used to always go to New Smyrna Beach - our family's favorite - but that was a long time *ahem 20 years* ago. That's my 2 cents worth.

My job could not SUCK any worse than it does at this moment.

First off, there is the issue of being denied vacation to go to the Fiesta Bowl....

Then, today, the boss sends out an e-mail detailing cube moves. Yes, I work in a cube farm…… And somehow I get stuck in the most horrid cube in the entire building. About 3 feet away from a printer that the entire department uses.

So……if anyone in the Tulsa area is in need of an experienced .NET Software Developer……I know where you can find one...

pozey: sorry to hear of your bad cube. At my last job there was a cube commonly known as "the fishbowl." It was in the center of the office, surrounded on 3 sides by glass walls, at the crossroads of three main hallways. Basically it was visible from all sides - the side that wasn't surrounded by glass was the side with the cubicle wall and the doorway. Everyone hated getting moved to that cube, and nobody lasted long in there!

I am incredibly bored today - there is nothing going on here. Our (Erin's) friend who came with us to WDW last December came over to my office last week and finally left me a CD of his pictures from our trip. We never get pictures of our whole family - I'm always the one behind the camera. I've been looking at the photos missing where I was a year ago - )but not missing the crowds)!

Oh, Pozey - sorry!!! :sad2: :grouphug:

There's a SMALL company in our building that is some kind of software development company - Don't know if they're hiring.

DznyFan..........Hey! I know you!! :rolleyes1

Just kidding………just wanted to give you a good scare……:rotfl2: :rotfl:

Great pictures!! It’s nice to “see” you finally. And put a face behind the name. :thumbsup2

Like you, I am almost ALWAYS behind the camera. I don’t know that you could find a picture of me anywhere.

I love seeing pictures of people having fun at Disney!! :cool1:

And thanks for all the hugs………today has not been a good day here at work. I am really hating my job right now, and that is not like me at all.pirate:
