I keep forgetting to say....

Ashley...that is too cute you got a birthday cake for no particular reason:cloud9: they are pretty good. Before DQ closed for the season Mike was telling me I should grab an ice cream cake:love: those things are so good!!! But I didn't...:sad2: what was I thinking:rolleyes: Somewhere else has to have them b/c that is what I usually get for Kennys birthday..and that's in Feb...hmmm I better start looking ....

2x... how you doing??? Hope you're getting that list taken care of...
sleep...

sleep ;) you deserve it and you need it. Take care of yourself... we have a great trip right around the corner:cheer2:  :cheer2:

oh lyzziesmom... I was telling Kenny that Emma might not be at Ohana...he looks at me like I'm crazy and says "but she'll miss the coconut races!!! " Ohana is an awesome meal, entertainment and view of wishes...but I understand the Chef Mickeys fix too ;)

The more I think about it Sewer in probably not the best choice for a username. How about you guys give a few suggestions for a new one?

You could make up a new explanation for it... maybe say you are into sewing? :rotfl:

We just got back from going to Cheesecake Factory for dinner. You guys might remember we got a free $25 giftcard for there because we had bad service the last time we went. Well guess who was our server? Audrey, the girl who we complained about in the first place. :sad2: But she was much better this time. And we only had to pay $9.25 for dinner! Pretty good deal.

Then we went to Giant food because I was craving birthday cake. popcorn:: we got a mini one for $6.99 so I could cure that craving!!! It wasn't anybodys birthday so I got "Good going Ashley" written on it. :teeth: Good going for what, I don't know but I got it anyways!!! ;)

I hope you guys had a nice night. We are going to watch "Back to the Future" now! (the first one!)

Hi Ashley (and Jeremiah too!) I love the Cheesecake Factory! The vanilla bean cheesecake is one of my favorites. Glad you had a better experience this time. I can't believe you had the same waitress, what are the chances?? That's so cute about the birthday cake. Good going!! I love Back to the Future. I like the ride at USO too, I hope they just rehab it instead of getting rid of it. Those movies are Lyzzie's dad's favorites - pretty much anything with time travel.

We watched The Illusionist last night. I really liked it. It had a good ending, but was kind of predictable. Still, I recommend it.

I saw The Illusionist in the theater. I just picked a movie at random not knowing what it was about and I liked it. I'd like to see it again, now that I know what to expect I think I'd like it even better.

Like Pozey said, the media is really making a big thing of this impending ice storm, we'll see if it comes to be or not. If so, it could really be ugly around here the next few days.

I watched the weather last night and it looks like the storm might be headed our way but they really don't know yet. We are getting some freezing rain this morning and they are making a big stink of it. My driveway was pretty slick this morning as I took the trash cans out, but the roads are fine. It's just darn cold!

I'm trying once again to cut down on my pain meds, for a couple reasons. I want to make sure I'll have enough for the trip, and also I am noticing it doesn't work as well lately. I think I'm building up a tolerance, so it is time to cut back for a while. This weather isn't helping though and my back really hurts today, despite having taken a darvocet. I really hate this. :headache:

But the good news is... it's FRIDAY!! So it has to be a good day!

I guess it's just this particular WalMart - some of my friends at work and I have discussed this particular one that is most convenient for many of us - it's NUTS in there, and we all feel the same way about it. My patience goes right out the window the moment I step foot in there. I wish Target were closer!!!
Do you go to the Wal Mart there at 71st and Aspen? I don't go to that one as much since the new one on the Creek Turnpike opened.

Is anyone else looking forward to a long quiet weekend as much as I am? It's been a tough week and now I'm getting a migraine. Oh how I wish it were 5 so I can go home.

Hope all of you with impending bad weather make it through ok. Round here when the weather reports mention tropical storms everyone heads to Wal-Mart to stock up. Earlier this year all of my local grocery stores ran out of water but I was able to find some at Home Depot

I think I saw him trapped in the bottled water aisle last night (think Dawn of The Dead zombies), not sure if he made it out alive.
I made it out of Wal Mart okay.......

Here's a picture of me leaving last night:

Wow. We have a LOT of people in my department calling in "sick" today. There are 20 people in the department I work in, and so far 6 people have called in sick.

I'm not mad........I just wish I would have thought of doing it myself..... :lmao:

We have a bunch of "sick" people today too, and some suddenly on vacation for one day. One of them said something in her email to the effect of, "After sliding around taking the kids to school, I decided to stay home and clean the house. Wait, did I say that? Someone take my temperature, quick! I feel sick!" I will be using all but one of my sick days for WDW, and vac and personal don't take effect until Feb. 20. Otherwise I'd have been tempted to stay home either today or Monday.

Well, fellow Oklahomans...it's here a little earlier than predicted. I was thinking 3-5pm. That makes me a tad nervous as I'm at work and the kids are riding the bus home today. Good news...I talked Dh into going to get some wood on his lunch hour(in the cold freezing rain). This makes me feel much better if their are any power problems. We don't have a generator. Other than toilet paper we are in pretty good shape. I just hope it's not a nightmare getting home.:sad2:

YM: I forgot to ask you... did you get your back problems cleared up? Did it turn out to be just muscle strain after all?

sewer: I meant to answer your question about my plumbing problems and I forgot. I have been having trouble with a floor drain in my laundry room - right off the kitchen - that has water come out of it when the washing machine runs sometimes. My dad came over, snaked out the drain with some big thing he rented from Home Depot, and plugged up the drain. That was last weekend. And now the problems with the kitchen sink and dishwasher. Nothing else so far (crossing all fingers & toes!)

Hey lyzziesmom...when the whining stops that's good news.:rolleyes1 My back is so much better.:yay: I "guess" they were right? Last night I was petting my dog (73lb dog). She was on her belly and I had my legs like a v...one on each side. She decided to bolt up and hit one leg and I rolled my ankle and ended up on the floor. Luckily...this was not major...although it did hurt. First thing DH said....DISNEY TRIP. I'm FINE...thank goodness!

Hey, in our old house we had a sludge problem and it just had to be flushed out(the main line in the back yard)...took almost all day.:scared1: I hope that is not the case for you.

pozey, glad to see you made it out of Walmart.

Everyone be safe!! Ice storms are the worst. I had to drive home in one a few years ago. My care got stuck on out road (I couldn't make it up a hill). Mike had to come out and move it. Luckily he did, because a few hours later a HUGE tree branch fell right where my car was.

I think I am going home early. I'll have a early start on my 3 day weekend! Plus, I can't seem to shut up on the latest FC thread. Why did I ever post in the first place? :confused3 I never have before. Someone needs to take my keyboard away.

it's getting nasty out there! :cold:
I'm still at work, although more that half our office has left. I have letters that have to go out TODAY. As soon as I'm done with those, though.... I'm outta here! :car:

I h aven't seen the thread Amber posted on, but I will have to look for it! I never post on them but am always entertained.

I went home for lunch today and it is really yucky out! It's not all that bad but all night & this morning there was freezing rain, and then some flurries on top of that. It was snowing a little when I left for home - I had to scrape my car a lot because the snow stuck to the ice and left a nasty thick bumpy frozen coating. By the time I came back to work, it has now started hailing! Just little tiny hailstones but man those suckers hurt when they hit your face - the wind is blowing them sideways. So now it's really slippery and I guess someone fell down in our parking lot a few minutes after I got back (I slipped twice but did not fall - YAY!) despite the snowmelt that was put down this morning. We are all hoping to be dismissed early but it's doubtful. One of the top execs is here today and she is from Illinois, where they are more used to this weather, and they don't realize that we are just not used to it here!
